“So far I bought 2 cultures from Freshly Fermented - kombucha and jun tea. Purchasing from these guys is a breeze, they're always upfront with stock availability and, considering current circumstances, delivery was timely. Communication is great too, I didn't need to contact them - all info was provided before I had to ask - but I have no doubts any issues would've been dealt with swiftly. On product side - cultures arrived happy and healthy. This is my first attempt at home fermenting, thank goodness for Freshly website - they have guides for all cultures on there. All in all great company and service. In Arny's words - I'll be back.”

“Kefir grains, came in a small composable plastic bag, I ordered the smallest portion, as from experience it soon multiplies, so I need to start giving it away. Not noticed benefits yet, but I know it works and is a brilliant source of great gut bacteria.”

“Great product makes fantastic yoghurt. I asked for advice and was answered promptly. Would be perfect if delivery was quicker, but completely understand that at the current time things are harder. Have recommended to a friend.”

“The sourdough culture took a few days to arrive, but was well worth waiting for. The packaging, btw, was wonderful. I’ve used it to make several loaves of GF bread and have now divided the starter and adulterated half with spelt when my other home made mother culture started to ail. I’ve made two gluten loaves today and they’re fabulous. Tremendous rising power, and so fast! In addition, I found the information and recipes on the website really helpful. Thank you. A great service all round!”

“I felt I had to expand on my previous review as I have tried a couple more new starters...Just out of interest. This is a very helpful company that gives advice and information I have always been in a home that makes yogurts and other "Old Fashioned" kitchen products.Even so, I have learned more about using different yogurts etc..The starters are good and have produced excellent yogurts with a wide variety of tastes. I don't have fancy equipment just a thermos type container and Grandma's method of production that I was taught when a child.it's good to have a consistent provider of quality heirloom starters to try.I highly recommend this company,especially if you are just starting to DIY.”

“We paid the extra £1 for speedy delivery but there was a delay (which may have been the postal delay we’re all experiencing through COVID. Now enjoying my homemade goats milk kefir. Product was well packaged and has kept well in the fridge when I let it rest between each batch (there’s only me drinking it so can’t drink a litre a day!)”

They have a very inspiring variety of fermented goods, and I cant wait to try out their kefir starter since my sourdough is thriving. :) Delivery was very secure and safe, then I was given clear instructions on how to care for my culture. “Water Kefir grains arrived quickly. They were put in the fridge immediately for a few days and activated before the expiry date. After a couple of changes, they are happily producing kefir. Instructions are clear and easy.”
