“As I have been asked to comment it was a rather disappointing & expensive experience. I originally ordered a leather repair kit along with some leather colorant balm. The balm turned out to be unsuitable but this was my fault as I had not tested the leather first to see if it was sealed. I returned this item with a request that it be credited against a small leather colorant kit with the difference to be charged to my card. After at least a week and hearing nothing I emailed twice on the 28th and 31st March to see if this was in hand but got NO REPLY. Then I saw a refund had been issued but I was still not sure if the right kit was on the way. This all wasted a lot of time with the seats out of the car. Eventually I ordered the medium leather colorant kit rather than the small as originally intended, as taking the advice of the website, which stated that the small kit was only suitable for only one car seat and I had two to do and I did not want any further delay or to run out half way through. This kit was far too large and I have ended up with about 75% of the kit unused which was largely wasted money at £62 which included what I thought was a high postage charge. On the positive side the chemicals generally worked OK and have improved the appearance of the seats.”

“Still waiting for it to arrive!! Have been told I have to wait 9 working days since day of despatch and that's not until next week. Payment however went straight out of my account. I've got a tenant moving in next week and needed to clean the sofa and chairs before this so very unhappy. Would definitely not use Furniture Clinic again.”

Hello Ms. Eardley, We are sorry that you did not receive your goods as quickly as you expected. On checking your order details it seems that your goods were despatched on the next working day following your online order. Your chosen method of postage was Royal Mail 2nd class, Royal Mail stipulate that we must wait up to 10 days after despatch date before further action can be taken on packages that do not arrive within the normal timescales. Unfortunately this is Royal Mail policy and is not something we can influence, but please let us know should your goods fail to turn up within this time and we will find an acceptable solution for you. “I have now purchased two packs of leather care kit from Furniture Clinic. When we bought the semi-aniline sofas in 2004 the manufacturer recommended that they were never cleaned or treated with a protector, only wiped clean with a dry cloth. I do not know why because you clean and polish leather shoes to protect them so why not leather furniture? The leather care kit has definitely enhanced the appearance of the leather. It is amazing the amount of dirt that comes off with the cleaner. Also, after using the protecting cream the leather resists any accidental spills and these do not soak in so easily. Each care pack is sufficient for about 6 or 7 treatments on our two and three seater sofas. I would recommend this product.”

We would like to find out a little bit more about how the product was being used, what kind of leather it was being used on and what it was being used to clean. Our cleaner is highly effective and very popular for general cleaning, the removal of dirt, grime and some light staining, but is not suited to the removal of stubborn staining. It may be that in your situation, depending on the factors above, that a more complex treatment is required to bring the leather back to its former glory. “Whilst the delivery was as per instructed, the 2 problems that we encountered were: Inadequate cleaning product for the initial leather clean Very difficult to colour match as limited paint colours. Spray cannister too small”

As for your issues; we try to balance the kit sizes for cost effectiveness while providing enough product and the right sized portable cannisters to provide the coverage described for each size of kit. In the majority of cases the sizes of each kit fit nicely for the jobs intended, but on occasion, depending on condition and methods used, more may be required. “Very disappointed with this product, I had a small mark on the back of my BMW driving seat, which I think is the result of the seat belts, although the car is only 5 years old, I am sorry to say this has had no impression on the mark, no visable improvement on the seating area either.”
