Not even one star, shocking before and aftercare customer service. Shop somewhere else the quality of goods are very poor.

I recently purchased a sofa from Furniture Village. It was a floor model so came with a 10% discount. I payed my 20% deposit and set up a finance agreement to be signed when I collect the sofa. Myself and the salesman agreed that the sofa will be taken off the shop floor and made ready for collection. I arranged for collection on Saturday morning and I arranged my own courier service which cost £100. This was discussed and agreed with the salesman. Friday afternoon I had a call from the furniture village manager to say I won't be collecting MY sofa tomorrow as they didn't have any new sofa's to put on the shop floor to replace it, so MY sofa will be going back out for 4-5 weeks over the Christmas shopping period for other potential customers to look at and sit on to hopefully sell more of that model. I was offered another discount but refused as I don't won't my new purchase on the shop floor for weeks. My deposit was refunded the following week. As it was less than 24hr from collection I lost my money for the courier service and furniture village have made no attempt to apologise or compensate for money lost due to poor management and poor customer service. I contacted the furniture village head office, but was advised to make a complaint to the shop itself. Little help there. To other sofa shoppers. Furniture Village should be avoided.

We had a bed delivered the first order made in store was cancelled by Novuna ,so a second online order was made . Apparently in store orders cannot be returned or refunded without a 25% charge,so after bed was delivered we realised very quick leg after it had been assembled that we had not took into consideration the roll at both ends of bed meaning the king size frame is much bigger than a normal king size bed . But thought we had 14 days to decide, after just 2 days of banging ,bruised legs,it was definitely to tight in room 2 steps from foot of bed was the door we have to squeeze past. But this was not the main problem,the Emma mattress we are paying way over the top for because it’s hybrid diamond apparently the best is the worst thing ever after 2 nights every part of my body was aching,cracking have only managed around 6 hours sleep in 3 weeks we alternate sleeping on the sofa,it is solid as a rock ,baking hot,and has a terrible smell. Went back to store 3 times saw 3 different sales staff all wanted to repeat over and over there is nothing we can do to help you,contact customer support . Contacted customer support ,they contact furniture village .It’s the worst experience I’ve ever had ,we are paying for a bed we can’t sleep in and no one will help ,we are close to splitting up ,Emma mattress we are buying from furniture states you have a 90 day trial period but according to furniture village sales staff in CROYDON this is nothing has nothing to do with them and salesman that first approached us in store who now cannot help us got our phone and made us contact Emma online help,they have got back to us saying the trial period is definite and returns and refunds are 100% legit and that furniture village should arrange this no problem. When I got back to furniture village with this email Emma they are now saying on chat that yes 90 day trial then they will take mattress back ,why am I keeping a mattress for 90 days that I cannot sleep on ,not only am I having to keep frame I cannot move in room I cannot even purchase a new mattress till January 2024 when 90 days are up. Furniture village are terrible after care service awful I am in pure misery after this experience I will never set foot in this store again ,and I want other people to stay away from this place ,total home wreckers .

-10 if I could. Bought a recliner sofa from them. After a couple of months the seat started dropping and the leather was peeling and creasing. They sent a technician who said it was wear and tear. I live alone. I’m disabled so I’m hardly trampling on it. They won’t do anything. Since then the recliner mechanism has broke. They are the worst company to deal with. AVOID at all costs. Never again will I buy anything from them.

I visited Furniture Village in Guildford today to buy a bed. On arrival I met James Dobson who was very professional and extremely helpful. Making sure that I was aware of all the important factors and ensuring that I chose the correct mattress for my needs. He also gave me excellent tips on how maintain the mattress. It was a very easy experience and I felt that I was extremely well treated. We did not buy an expensive item but felt that we received the very best attention and service. If I need any thing else for my new home - I will go and see James Dobson!

Excellent customer service in the shop in Colchester.and the two men who delivered our Leather sofa were great. No problems at all with any of it .

I wish there was 0 rating. I have ordered sofa's ( recliner three seater) from furniture village. On the day of delivery one of the sofa was not installed correctly, after raising they fixed it But the alignment with the modal is not correct, we can easily see that the three seaters are not aligned properly. Also one seat is going down too much just after using for 2 weeks. My old sofa which I bought for 1/3rd price of what has been paid to furniture village is of very good quality. I have contacted store so many times and no details have been provided. I have raised this with customer service and they sent some one to investigate who came and told it is normal. Also they have to give me price match and its been two months since sofa was delivered and my price match money has not been provided. This is the biggest lesson that in future not to go and purchase with Furniture Village. For the price we are paying we can get better quality outside.

I would give Nil stars if I could. The furniture you receive is not the same on display in their fancy showrooms. Once they have your cash you will be ignored and receive NIL aftercare from their non existing customer service department. Furthermore all the technicians sent to you by FV side with them and are two faced. They will admit problems to your face then write a report saying no manufacturing fault. FV will ignore your emails, complaints and if you are lucky enough to get a reply it will read like a script. The only coarse of action is a section 75 or court action. I could write a book about this company but if you check out on Facebook "Let down by Furniture Village have you say" you will realise how they treat you once you have parted with you money. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

First time wrong sofa. Secondctime leather seats creasing, sinking after five months. Glides do mot stay put. Customer service non existent. CEO of company do not bother to deal with any emails. So called Reputation team staff do not care and do not want to address the issue. It is lije banging your head against the brick wall. Never buy from Furniture village. This store needs to clse down and investiagted. They only want to rip off public including the CEO Mr. Harrison. Be warned anyone thinking of buying from Furniture village.

FV Crawley store buying ParkerKnoll Knoll 2 seater recliner sofa. 2 riser/recliner chairs, spending £5,900 The riser recliner are Vat exempt, as I and my wife qualify for Vat disabled relief which means that no Vat on the chairs I tried to pay the balance but was told that I had to pay the vat and claim the Vat from FV. From what have read from HRMC you cannot charge VAT on VAT exempt. I try to explain to manager about Vat relief but was ranting on about they do not deal with Vat. The way he was talking to me I would have sacked him, and then none of the staff would talk to me. Since then I still have to pay the Vat to have my furniture deliverd.It seems like blackmail. The chairs from P Knoll were advertised 0%Vat if you qualify, no one mentioned any of this at the time. After travelling for 2 hrs each way what a waste of time

Paid over £2000 for a G-Plan couch (and that was on sale), found a huge break in the frame. Warranty says it covers the frame but the claim department has denied it stating the technician found no fault. They confirm it’s broken but still won’t cover it, even though he said he has no idea how it could have been broken based on location and assumed it was either before or during delivery…so still not our fault. There is a Facebook page FULL of complaints from VERY unhappy customers as denying warranty claims is standard practice.

Absolutely shocking service, 10 weeks to be delivered from when we ordered in March!!! full suite and footstool (damaged). One sofa delivered the other one damaged didn’t accept. 9 weeks for replacement of the other sofa, different colour when delivered to my other one. Second footstool also damaged!! Arguing constantly with them! Manager came to our house 3 weeks ago confirmed it is darker to my other one which we said. Further 3 weeks gone no update!!! Considering dumping it in there store!! Want a full replacement or a full refund!! They are taking the P**s!!!

Keep away from this company,call roses when you buy. Wrong item delivered, £4000 worth. Different colour than ordered. Trying to get it sorted, complete nightmare. Customer service, they don't know what it is. Wanted us to re order it and wait another 5 months, asked for full refund, let's see how long we have to wait. Spent a full week trying to sort, never ever again.

I am still waiting for the rest of my order over 3 weeks later which I paid a lot of money for and took a day off for delivery (very pricey delivery especially if you do not get your all items). Very poor communication and customer service. I would not recommend you to get anything from them. Very disappointed.

Furniture village are Crooks who will be all coffee and cookies and fakeness at their sales pitch but once they have your hard earned money it's a totally different aspect seriously telling me that a rug l purchased was bespoke and made up ffs then how the hell do you have the same exact rug in every other branch etc as does the a@#£*hole of a manager actually know the actual meaning of bespoke as bespoke means a one off made to your perspective requirements colours and measurements etc not something that someone else can buy in the store anyway to cut a long story short l wanted a refund on the rug because my husband thought it was rather thin for the amount of money l paid as he didn't see it beforehand but was told that l couldn't because it was bespoke seriously it was just a rug 160 × 220 grey rug nothing perspective added to it but was told that if l wanted a refund yes a full refund l had to take it up with head office and there's a 25% fee for what l don't exactly know as FV ain't losing out on anything as once they have their rug back it's still resellable but oh no these c@#£S what to take a 25% cancellation fee for the value of what you purchased etc ffs and their customer service department is a joke totally non existence and don't get me started on their management are a complete bunch of arseholes in dealing with anything apart from taking your money seriously don't buy anything from these crooks as they definitely won't honour the aftersales service and guarantee whatsoever seriously l wish l looked at other customers real reviews beforehand as you can just read what some off them have had to go through as for the CEO he definitely needs to be named and shamed on TV/Social media etc seriously as yes the b@#£%*# has got rich by being a crook and believe me l'm going to post my comments on everything associated about furniture village 💯👊

The 20 year complimentary warranty is a fake they will wriggle out of it once they have your money, our £2000 dinning table started delaminating after a few months and they don’t want to know and are saying its ware and tear on the side of the table where no one sits, honestly guys their furniture is over priced cheap rubbish and the warranty is not worth the paper its printed on.....stay clear of these charlatans...

Seriously the worst company l have ever dealt with or experienced they actually should be called Scam Village because Seriously that's what they're believe me there's no discount on any off their products whatsoever make out like their furniture is bespoken or made too measure and the after sales is non existing all smiles when ur purchasing something from their but once u have paid for it that's it and to get a refund forget that these bastards take a 25% fee from u or won't even refund u for that matter save ur time and money and go elsewhere as the real reviews are here not on trustpillot fake reviews on there

Ordered bed and mattress. Mattress was supposed to have regular springs, it has memory or some kind of sponge springs which makes it not what we wanted at all. We only found this out on delivery. Spoke to customer service and they don’t accept returns as transaction was done in store. Apparently it’s our fault that the pushy sales person did not tell us that this is not what we are looking for. Not sure what to do as have only 3 days before the 2 weeks for returns expire. Seems like there is no law that protects coned customers! Furniture Village I will never buy from you again and do not recommend anyone does too!
