I would give 0 stars if I could. Plants that I had ordered were an absolutely disgraceful size and condition. Contacted customer service numerous times who were so slow with their awful response. I would never order from this website again as the plants are terrible and their rude and slow customer service is even worse!

They admitted they sent me something with no label, but their company confirm that what it is! When I asked for a price reduction to match the label lost tree, they simply tell me that they can't because I didn't order the label lost one.

I would give this shambles of a company zero stars if possible. This company is a joke, I really don't know where to start. I am normally quite a savvy shopper and can't believe I fell for this scam. The owner Chris Bonnett should be ashamed of this outfit, I would gladly spend double for a quality product delivered with great customer service which is the exact opposite to what I received. Buyers beware!

£48 Plant heavy infected with vine weevil. I cannot get a response from them at all. Shocking waste of money. They need shutting down. Customer service and plant quality = ZERO

My guess is this company is buying up out of season/damaged/poor condition stock from wholesalers and or garden centres which would account for the very unhealthy condition of plants sold; very different to the website illustrations. Ordered multiple plants, jasmine x 3 cordyline x 4 nandina firepower x 6 clematis apple blossom x 2. The plants did not look healthy upon arrival, nothing to do with delivery as the boxes all in tact, these plants would have been in this condition prior to despatch. One clematis was broken lower stem. Had to send photo and the company replaced without issue. the other plants I was told to water cut back and they would revive. No point challenging as they will not concede. Plants that have subsequently died within a year of planting cordyline x 4 clematis x 1. Plants requiring a lot of nurturing jasmine x 3.

Delivered today battered from Yodel. Top eight inches of lemon cypress broken off , one hydrangea missing , the other in poor condition. You cannot ring customer service , fiddle about on website raising a ticket. Will not be buying from them again. They are DREADFUL. Our order was substantial 90.00. They carefully pick your plants they claim then pass them to Yodel to kill.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Ordered 4 Cypress Pines which arrived in boxes that were too small, so in order to get them in the box they had bent the top 12 inches of each plant which was brown and dead by the time they arrived. Tried contacting customer support but 1 week on they have not responded. Would not recommend this company in any way. Slow delivery, plants dying or dead on arrival, no customer service and no phone number.

I complained that one of two plants purchased from this company had died. I waited over 2 weeks for a response. I had sent 2 photos during this time, one of the plant on it's last legs and the other of the plant dead! They told me to water it. Eventually they said they would replace it but I had to send it back to them at my own cost and pay the postage of the replacement. I do not consider this to be at all fair play. I will not use them again..

The worst online shopping experience I’ve ever had! Goods arrived in appalling condition. Gardening Express has NO CONTACT TELEPHONE NUMBER (a big red flag I missed!) and enquiries/complaints need to be made on their website through their ‘ticket’ system - which in my case just meant that my complaint ‘ticket’ was read, ignored and stamped RESOLVED. My email got a response that can only be described as sarcastic and passive aggressive (that’s you Sam!). No refunds. No returns. No clue.

This company is an absolute disgrace. They have no telephone number when something goes wrong. I ordered £79 worth of plants. They are not as described and arrived in poor condition. I raised two issues with their online ticket system 8 weeks ago and have heard nothing back. I posted a letter including photos of the plants 6 weeks ago and have still heard nothing. The £39.99 ‘giant’ cordyline is half dead. I would never ever use them again.

Having recently made a purchase from this company I found that the products supplied were not as displayed or described on their website they were of a very poor quality and a lot of the bulbs/ tubers have not taken, also wrong plant supplied from what was ordered, when you try to contact customer services to try to resolve the issue they just ignore you so I would express extreme caution they are not what they seem and the pictures are very deceiving as the delivered plants bear no resemblance to the images portrayed. They indicate a 5 year guarantee on plants but can't even respond after 2 weeks what a joke!!!!!

I recently had a very sad experience with Gardening Express. Firstly, they should most definitely change their name - there is nothing express about this company! It took 6 days to get my plants (if you could call them that!), and on arrival it was obvious that the 'plants' had been wrapped poorly for transportation in air tight cardboard boxes and black plastic rubbish bags and sticky tape. I admit I got suckered in on the website - great pictures and descriptions led to high expectations - but boy oh boy, what a total disappointment. Every single 'plant' was in some way stunted, damaged, or just non-existent - in some cases there was just dirt! Go to your local garden centre or Homebase, B&Q or IKEA and you will get 100% plus better quality plants. Be aware that this company uses Yodel to do their deliveries and they are one of the rudest and most useless of couriers out there adding insult to injury.

Slow to dispatch, took over a week. Recieved email saying they had been dispatched, checked tracking but courier said hadn't been recieved from Gardening Express. Stayed like this for a couple of days, so clearly weren't dispatched when they said they were. Plants arrived broken in several places. Complained and got no response. Terrible service. Would not use again. Would and recommend.

As a small business, I spent over £300 on plants as I thought GE could be a viable option as a supplier to me. The website is very good and provides some great descriptions of plants and making selections is easy. But unfortunately, that’s where the positive comments end. The plants took 2 weeks to arrive and when they did arrive, I was so disappointed. I would have sent them all back but the cost of return is bared by the customer, so would have cost me over £100. Plants described in 2-3 litre pots were no more than cuttings and one plant type (Nandinas) were £15 each - truly disgraceful. I bought Acers and these were very scabby and in poor condition. Some stems had clearly been snapped off rather than being cut cleanly with a sharp pair of secateurs. All plants were much smaller than advertised and not worthy of selling on to my customers. I have returned half a dozen plants and 11 days later am still waiting for my refund. Such a shame, as this could be such a good alternative to sourcing plants. I won’t be ordering from this company again.

Dead plants or almost dead plant. I have bought some flowers from them, really enthusiastic and they send me dead and dry plants, broken pots etc. I sent them pictures and they said the plant is alive so I should take care of it. For me this is really unprofessional...in the first place how can they sell dead plants with leaves that are withered in the first place without even letting you know! I really recommend do waste your money! Unprofessional and all you will get is dead or dying flowers!

They send damage and death plants! Returns accepted only at your expenses which can be likely equal to the price you paid for the plant. My worst experience ever about buying plants online.
