Plants arrived broken and damaged. Grasses had been celotaped to the black plastic wrappings. Some plants were sealed in black plastic wrappings I've sent over 30 photos of the dying damaged plants and pots and after 3 weeks got an email to say not enough evidence and to photograph the plants out of their pots. 3 weeks on and the plants are dead and waiting for the bin. No communication, complete rip off company. I've referred my problem to trading standards as goods faulty abd no one attempting to rectify.

A shocking company I ordered an Acer supposed to be 1.5 to 1.8 m High but what I received was a Twiggy load of rubbish just over one meter high a complete rip-off and I do not think the variety is correct as it looks nothing like the photographs in their advert. I made a formal complaint having reported them to Citizens advice and trading standards and now they've stopped replying to my emails my advice has never buy from this company they act like criminals they are cheats and Liars and with false advertising

Have given one star as impossible to give zero stars! Worst company I have ever dealt with, plant arrived late and damaged. No telephone or email support, issues have to be raised via a “support ticket” - which is laughable as they aren’t the slightest bit supportive and rarely reply to it! Have been trying for last two months to get refund or replacement to no avail. Avoid at ALL costs

I was felt I was fobbed off with unsatisfactory explanations as to why 2 of the shrubs I'd bought were dying. I'd bought 6 in total and the others were fine. They'd all been treated in the same way and planted in the same area of the garden. I'm an experienced gardener and didn't feel I'd been taken seriously. I'd never use this company again and dont recommend it.

Dead plants arrived 15 days later their response was water them they may revive not taking any responsibility.takes 3-4 days to get a reply feom costumer helpline.Shocking company shouldn't be operating.No call number makes it clear that they dont want people to ring.AVOID dont waste your money

Plants took ages to deliver. Only two of the plants were ok, the rest were either dead or in terrible condition (and very small for the price). The dahlia tubers were all dead. A total waste of money.

Very good plants at a more than decent price; no after sales service apart from a computer, however. They are open about economising on a telephone or email service for customer questions. This is frustrating, but perhaps best sen as part of the deal. A bit of attention on their part to the website would be a good idea.

First time I have ordered from them my fatsia polycarpa greenfingers arrived well packaged and a good quality plant which was more than I expected will definitely be using them again

Everything is wrong with this company. For starters they have no real customers services - you can't call them - and no one answers the service tickets submitted online, which is a nightmare if you have a problem and I've had nothing but problems. I spent over £400 on an order, and most of the plants I received had one or more things wrong - certainly not the same standard as the photos on the website. They arrived half dead, root bound in small pots, and I suspect a pear tree I received is diseased with scab. Everything was packed terribly - without any protection whatsoever inside the boxes. I will never use them again, and I would advise other to avoid them also. There are much better online gardening companies out there such as Suttons or You garden

Rubbish product , expensive , late . Two tiny plants . Total rip off . Stay clear . No telephone contact , no email , no communication. I intend to report these cowboys to Essex trading standards.

Gardening Express is an exceptionally good and fare supplier of garden plants and accessories. They also submit a guarantee with all plants supplied however the plants received are always of a good quality and standard, guaranteed to be suitable to plant outside as they have all been hardened off outside if not grown outside from the start. I have every confidence when making a purchase from Gardening Express. If there was any problem they would exchange the plant without any further issue.
