“Fairly easy to use. Ask some questions that didnt seem necessary. A lot of emphasis on giving gifts when I wasnt giving any. Otherwise nice and simple and hoping it has used the necessary wording to make it trouble free for my children to manage when I pass. Liked being able to do it on the spot and print straight away for no cost.”

“Easy to use website. Simple questionnaire process. However, with the simplicity comes an obviously-limited outcome. And the final output (the printed Will) could be improved in terms of presentation and content.”

“It was a good, except when I tried to print a copy, It told me it was going to inform all my executors etc. I did not want that to happen until I was confident I had finished the will. Also I could see what I had written to that point, apart from that it seemed acceptable.”

“It takes a lot longer than ten minutes. There is a lot of information you must have before you can complete it. Email addresses of executors for example. Even though I clicked on the NZ flag there were no NZ charities loaded into the system. The experience was good but I may use what I have learned to use a NZ specific site linked to a charity I want to help to redo the will writing. Thanks for the experience.”

“It’s quick and easy but I don’t think the consequences of what you specify are explained clearly enough and I don’t feel confident that it represents my wishes right. I’m going to get it checked by a lawyer to be certain.”

“For someone who has not started a will at 75 yo the need is growing I was executor of my parents wills and know how complicated tings can get. Thank you for your solutions thoughwe dont have a printer so difficult to finalise”

“The Will allowed for use is limted. It also did not allow for alteration as you went through the items required and did not allow for special wording you might have wanted to put into the Will. I updated the Will with an extra page of my own to give explanatiuons of my requirements.”

“The process is very simple, anyone could easily create a will. The reason for the 3 start review is I dont how what I own would be divvied up, does it include things I co own with others etc”

“It was quite good, the one thing that was confusuing was about naming executors by having to give their email datails. As it wasnt explained that you have to do this before you start it made it difficult to finish as i hadnt decided who that person/s would be.”

“I haven't finished writing my will, but it decided to send emails to everyone telling them I'd done a will. Not happy with that. Just need to save it to come back o later as I didn't have all the details to add at the time. Don't email my entire family. I haven't spoken with a real person, so the other questions on this survey aren't relevant.”

Hi Claudia - thanks for your message and we're sorry for any confusion regarding the executor notification feature available as part of your free online will. To clarify how this works - we will notify your partner (if applicable) and your executors that they have been named in your Will when you complete your Will (you will see an acknowledgement checkbox before downloading). No details of your Will are contained in the notification email. Please note, the executor notification is only triggered when you have completed your will and choose to download it for signing, witnessing and safe storage. “I wrote two Will from my iPhone. Now I can’t find a log in button for either, and when I go back to search the website my wife’s will comes up, but I can’t find mine.”
