Autosaint are absolutely appalling. Hidden costs everywhere and no explanation for anything. Called for a quote last week to cancel my policy (with two payments on policy left) and it was nothing, called today and it had magically increased to £230 they use young drivers to grab any money they possibly can. DO NOT USE

DONT NOT EVER USE! they wont send out the policy details, and claim they have! Trying to charge me £181 for the price of a black box and cancellation fee. The policy has not even started yet as no documents been sent out to me. employee's on the telephone there have no customer skills what's so ever! and still over a week they have not helped me what's so ever! You get a letter in the post from Fresh Insurance for you that is dated on the letter nearly a week after your receive it which you only have a day or so to send it back, If you don't send it back they charge you an extra £10. this Fresh Insurance is a form to fill out for this company to take a % of credit from you. This was not explained anywhere to getting insurance with AutoSaint! SERIOUSLY THE WORST COMPANY IVE EVER EXPIRENCED!

Robbing, Rude . How I'm trying to cancel without paying a fee. The guy who installed the black box has F'uk with my electrics and damaged my car was left without a car for 4 days and they wasn't Intrested. Still waiting for a call back. Apparently I'm estimated to go over but haven't yet and charging me extra £69 a month for Mileage. Hate this company

Never Again !!!!!! NO COMPLAIN DEPARTMENT !!! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LACK SKILLS !!! DON'T BUY ON-LINE !!! PHONE THEM UP, BECAUSE IF YOU DECIDE TO CANCEL, YOU WILL BE CHARGED A CANCELLATION FEE EVEN IF THE POLICY HASN'T STARTED !!!!!!!!!!

AutoSaint preys on young people who are first time drivers and not aware of how insurance works. They contacted my son telling him he had driven over his mileage allowance and made it his responsibility to prove that he hadn't. On that basis alone it's fine for me to say that they're a bunch of criminals because it's up to them to prove they're not. Their basic inability to grasp the basics of the Consumer Rights Act. It's become clear from this experience and the experience of others that AutoSaint may appear to give you the cheapest quote but over the course of the insurance period they will add extra charges. Ultimately the insurance will cost more than being insured as a first time driver by one of the more recognised insurers. They even have charges for when other departments charge - that is, we paid a charge for being charged. It is just a huge con and they should be avoided at all costs.

absolutely disgusting what they do to their customers! Cancel insurance when they feel like it. Take your money and refuse to pay back for 30 days ridiculous especially when you need to insure your car to get to work and can't do it as they are holding my money. 100% do not use this company because they are nothing but con artists. Customer service very rude and useless.

Took out insurance with them But they advised that the date was wrong within 2 minutes which was a simple mistake so asked to see what the premium would be .. shot UP to another 380 on top so decided to leave it as can get it much cheaper elsewhere.. I had already paid a £200 deposit which I expected them to just refund straight back they asked me to pay £60 and were very rude.. there was no way I was going to pay £60 for absolutely no reason .. they said I had to pay it as a cancellation fee however the insurance wasn't to start till Monday so in theory I did not have any insurance and also all insurers give a 14 day calling off period so they were talking rubbish.. took me a good few hours and a call to the ombudsmen to get anywere now just waiting for a full refund hopefully I get it as they have advised.. stay away from this company

Letters threatening cancellation if requirements not met - even though they did not ask for them. Made a complaint and he was not acknowledged with 5 working days. This company was the cheapest on a comparison website but the service is diabolical. Avoid like the plague. Choose another insurance company. Lack of communication with the black box company. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!

We took a insurance policy out on my daughters car with this company my daughter had her car wrote off through no fault of her own and as if it's not bad enough they took £450 excess even though there was witnesses then even though my daughters car is a right off they still took 2 months payments and saying we have to pay another £600 insurance even though we no longer have the car .if we don't pay it they are taking us to court please do not take a policy out with this company it's been a nightmare!!! This company is a joke don't ring them it's a joke and they need to teach there staff some manners!!

I am absolutely disgusted by what they have done to me...10 months into my insurance policy and they've cancelled it and they can't give me a reason to why they have cancelled it. Over £3000 they have taken from me. Don't use this insurance company!

Rude staff ,waste of time I Insured my car online when they called to confirm they said they could not cover and had to cancel the policy and said inwould have to pay £60 cancellations fee

Insured me on a car. When they called to confirm details I confirmed all the details as I gave online. They then cancelled my insurance. Absolute joke of a company and an embarrassment. Even if they're cheaper, go elsewhere, any amount of money is worth not using this company.

Had no communication whatsoever where a claim was paid out, didn't even know a claim was being processed until the renewal came through, but was aware that there had been a small incident. Initial purchase price quoted then increased when I tried to accept online had to ring them and it took over an hour to process the whole thing. Extra mileage costs were ridiculous they even charged a surcharge! Would never insure with them again and would advise others not to either.

Rude and abrupt staff, with terrible hold time and non-existent service Unclear terms and conditions with additional hidden charges Failure to communicate with the box fitting company resulted in rude and abrupt emails and threats to cancel (all there error, but no apology) Mileage excess charged at a ludicrous rate (could have obtained a non-telematics product at less cost) Overall cost of product in excess of non-telematics providers, based on our own experience I would avoid at all costs. Also take a look at watchdog complaints on this firms conduct and erroneous data being used to cancel policies (with no refund)

Wish I could rate lower. Absolutely ridiculous price per mile of you go over your limit, rude staff (with the exception of a few) and don't work with you to try and help you out. Havent even finished my first year with them and I'm planning on leaving because I'm spending all of my time worrying whether they're just going to cancel my policy.

I wish I could give no stars this company is disgusting trying to extort me out of £200 for a cancellation fee my blood is actually boiling please for the love of God stay away they are absolute theives. Abismle customer service. Put a reasonable cancellation policy in place and people will pay it that is crazy and they won't see a penny of it.

What an absolute joke of a Company, do yourself a favour people and read all the reviews on here and also on independent review pages. My daughter is 11 months into her insurance and because she has gone to uni (without her car) her premium has gone up by £25. They say this is because her 'occupation' has changed. Not sure how going to uni is classed as an 'occupation' but apparently in 'insurance' language it is ???? Now correct me if I am wrong but i thought premiums were based on risk factors which is why young and new drivers pay a higher premium, so apparently my daughter NOT driving the car warrants an additional premium, explain that one to me? The fact that she is a student hasn't changed since she took the policy out and also having just spoken to her she advises me that she called and spoke to someone a couple of days before leaving for uni to advise them but that operator on that particular day chose not to tell her about additional premiums. I am also dubios of the box giving correct information, funny how my daughter isn't driving the car but it still tells us by email her driving score etc? when I asked if I could cancel the policy I was told there would be no 'no claims' earnt even though we are 11 months into the policy. New Company run by youngsters reading from scripts. Wish I had read the reviews first

AWFUL!, I have had my insurance for 6 days (new driver never had it before) and was re assured on the phone it is not a company that rips people off. I was given a name and number to contact if I had any queries, and told their is a 14 day cooling off policy, I rang up this morning to cancel it and the number would not connect. I got through to claims and been told I have to pay £60 to cancel the policy ontop of the £69.00 for the 6 days of insurance I had. I explained I'm ok paying the cover but not the cancellation fee, when I was told I agreed on the phone I requested the phone call to be sent to me and they want to charge me a tenner! DO NOT go with this company
