It was so traumatizing and I couldn't talk to no one about it after this investors left me handicapped by taking my 25,00$ stopping me from withdrawal of my hard earned money. My search for redemption begins after a very close associate of mine told me about olive Recovery Specialist and I saw a lot of reviews myself and testimonies about them, finally reached out and to my greatest surprise what I thought was impossible became possible and mind blowing. An engineer to fit the black box refused fitting because of two parts of the car being undeclared “modifications”. I discussed removing them as i was still within my 14 day period to fit a black box but they just turned round and straight cancelled the policy with a refund of 100 less than i paid

My son has had the insurance less than… My son has had the insurance less than a week and they have cancelled it. The black box was only fitted friday night, so only used Saturday and sunday. There are sooo many discrepancies its alarming. The box wasnt even working or the app over the weekend so i used the car (i have buisness insurance) and most of the journeys are mine, only picking up part of the journey. If it was actually working i would have knocked the app off. Saying i was doing a 50 in a 40 zone which is actually a 60 zone! Doing 27 in a 20 zone past a speed camera, no speeding ticket though! The gps is all out and picking up that he has done 30 miles today with the car not being used. Cancelling his policy without even support, warnings or a discussion. Now impacting him not being able to have insurance at all going forward as you have to declare the cancellation, no one will touch hin to insuring him! Such an unfair desicion made based on inaccurate readings. Would be helpful if we could reach out to others facing this concern in some sort of forum to discuss how they managed this. l will be raising this complaint with the financial ombudsman. They cant get away with this behaviour.

I feel compelled to share my harrowing experience with this platform in order to prevent others from falling victim to their deceitful practices. Their security measures are severely lacking and I speak from personal experience. I trusted them with my money, only to have it stolen by them. The sheer incompetence and negligence of this company in safeguarding their clients' funds is outrageous. The customer support is practically non-existent as my attempts to reach out for assistance are met with long wait times, unhelpful responses, or no response at all. Never go with this company !! Cancelled my policy after 2 weeks, as the dvla had made an error on my license, they let me know that it’s fine as long as I email proof that it’s on the dvla’s behalf whenever I get the letter through, I did this as I got the letter and rang them, to which they told me it’s too late now and are cancelling my policy immediately and there’s no way they will renew it, apparently I had 7 days to send them an email of the letter which I was never told about, a woman on the phone admitted it was complete miscommunication on their behalf so when I asked how come it’s my insurance that’s being cancelled when it’s their mistake, to which the woman told me she isn’t going in circles with me and ended the phone. I’m now loosing out on around 300.00 out of the 3,300 I paid as they can’t give me a full refund.

Avoid at all costs cancelled my daughters insurance for not having her black box plugged in provided evidence of her trips on her app told her it was to late already cancelled she just paid 220 quid 5 days before refunding her 49 quid stating they are charging her a cancellation fee, refused to speak to me as she is only 18 awful company avoid at all costs rip off company

not happy with service. constantly having to charge my black box every 2/3 days yet the email says it’s solar powered ? called to discuss and was told i should keep it plugged in on charge 24/7. not accepted. i’ve paid £2600 for the year and been told to keep it plugged in when clearly a fault with the box. was placed on hold and phone cut off but no call back. tried to get back through but can’t. not happy at all

I’ve been with Carrot Insurance for about 3 months now. I didn’t have an issue for the past few months, until this week. My car had a fault so it was sent to the mechanics, and they had test driven it. I received a warning message regarding to speed and was told I was driving 61mph in a 50mph zone. I notified them that I wasn’t in the country and provided proof of the ticket, but they weren’t listening to any of that. The mechanic was on holiday, so I was unable to get a receipt/proof that I wasn’t the one driving that day so I’d asked for 2 weeks in order to provide it once he was back. However, they did not seem to care and were adamant about cancelling it. There was a second instance where I had gone 53/54mph in a 50mph zone, but they penalised me and I received yet another warning and a cancellation notice. I’ve consistently put up good scores every week and rarely ever had a score below 10, yet they did not seem to care about any of that. The customer service is poor and you can’t do anything about it. I’ve got friends who’ve had black boxes in the past, and was told none of the other companies penalise you like this insurance company. Stay away from this company if you don’t want someone constantly threatening to cancel over silly things. Waste of money and time!!

I’ve been with Carrot Insurance for about 2 months now, and consistently put up 10/10 scores. Out of 8 weeks, I had 2 weeks of scores with 0 and as a result, I’ve been issued with a cancellation notice. One of these weeks was due to a mechanic test driving my car after sorting an issue out. I was on holiday during this time and sent the dates where I was not in the UK. However, as the mechanic was a family friend, we were not issued with a proper invoice. I understand that the company requires proper proof, but to cancel over 2 instances is outright unfair. The other instance was when I creeped over the legal limit, I reacted quickly, but this doesn’t mean anything to them. I’m a new driver & not eager to lose anything by speeding. This cancellation will just make it impossible to get insured for a decent price anywhere else! I thought the customer service would be more understanding and at least check the behaviour of my driving in general. The average scores were consistently good. In their terms & conditions it states consistently receiving negative scores would put the policy at risk. I had only received 2 warnings and have had 3-4 scores which were amber. I’m appalled by this decision and believe the company should have discussed this with me taking into account the several factors.

I've been with carrot about 4 months now, not a single problem with any service they offer. Communication is easy and efficient, telematics device reliable and accurate and the staff on hand are superb. Even if the call line is busy they will always respond within 30 minutes! Overall a really top class insurer. So glad I spent that little bit extra for the service they provide.

My daughter had insurance with this company for 2 months and every month they threatened to cancel it, the first time is because she had to wait 1week for the black box to be installed, then they said ignore it as by law it can take up to two weeks for installation, the second is because they said she was tampering with the box as the AA advised us to take it to the garage due to mechanical issues so the vehicle wasn’t in use as the garage had it for over a week waiting for a part, they found this to be suspicious! and the third and final time they accused her of suspicious activity as the car hasn’t been driven, although we previously told them that we will be abroad for Christmas for 2 weeks however, they continually harassed her by asking her to reply to emails and phone calls which we advised them that we would make contact on our return due to poor internet connection, however they continued to text and ring my daughter to advise that they’ve cancelled it so when she wrote a negative review they text and rang to speak with her ! This impact has affected the family especially during Christmas these people are ruthless and insensitive at this festive time. They proceeded to take the direct debit of £360 that month and then refunded her back £29 which she received after she left a negative review about how she’d been treated during the 2 months when signing up with Carrot. We will be communicating with Management of Carrot on our return to the UK and if no resolution can be found we will be exposing this company to the BBC consumer show for further investigation and justice. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID at all costs! It’s a very unorganised and stressful experience dealing with this company who ultimately only seem to want to collect big deposits from young people and a few months instalments or less for some it seems, then have pleasure in cancelling young people’s car insurance without no notice not even 24 hours, my daughter was sent an email at 5pm saying her insurance will be cancelled by 11pm when my daughter tried to call 5pm to discuss it as she had no knowledge of even being investigated she got a recorded message saying the company was now closed ! How backhanded to send a email so late in the day letting her know that the insurance will expire in 6 hours at 11pm ! Disgusting behaviour, just unbelievable! Despicable ethics, this company need to be named and shamed ! Don’t be fooled by there cheap quotes! It’s a ploy I think, to reel young people in, then money is taken and insurance is then cancelled! It seems, within a few months! There is a pattern this company’s practice! Avoid at all costs, it’s not worth all the stress and lengthy phone calls that only result in cancellation without you even knowing that they are investigating you! Very underhand practices they only seem to want to threaten cancellation and cancel without any warning.

I’m a new young driver and thought this… I’m a new young driver and thought this insurance would be good for the black box and decent rewards etc. the rewards are good but carrot cancelled my policy due to bad driving behaviour even thought my app says 10/10 and when I ask them to check my black box they say it is working fine. They have given me 7 days notice yet their terms and condition says if you consistently get negative scores then your policy will be at risk of termination and I have only got 2 warnings!!! This isn’t conistant my scores are always green 8-10 my score is so this is not fair at all !!! Really upset me

Customer service is absolutely disgraceful. Wouldn’t recommend this insurance to anyone. My partner had his blackbox fitted, 2 days later received an email saying it has been cancelled all because he didn’t answer the phone when he told them he works unsociable hours and was at work. They cancelled his insurance the night before but didn’t revive any notification about this till the following day at 10am. Been sent through so many customer support people. None of which seemed like they knew what they were doing. Unhelpful and absolutely a disgrace So much for “we aim to treat all customers fairly”

If you ever need to claim don’t bother with this company. Almost 5 weeks since I made a claim and still no pay out, impossible to get hold of anyone. A shambles of a company!

Great reward program Only downside is that it will take points off you for using your car for many journeys during one day, as someone who drives a lot this is not great but other than that I’d recommend carrot
