“Insurance is cheap, but they're not very good at resolving issues. I was given a score of 2.5/10 for my speed. When I used their live chat to ask why, they admitted I never broke the limit in that journey (I have screenshots of the chat). They said the reason I was given such a low score is because I was going 55MPH in a 60MPH zone, which is above 35MPH (apparently my average speed for that journey). I go on the road in question every day, but for some reason I was only given 2.5 once. They still haven't restored my score and I've lost reward points, even though I didn't break the speed limit.”

“Customer service is always brilliant as they are on hand and respond very quickly. The prices are also really good because the previous year I had a crash which I thought meant the price would majorly increase. With carrot it didn’t allowing me to keep driving. The rewards for been a good driver are also really good as it allows me to buy vouchers to spend. My black box was delivered and fitted very quickly as it was a few days after I sorted my policy.”

“I enjoyed being insured with carrot. The weekly treats are such a reward each week. The only thing making this review not 5 stars is that you can only contacts via live chat, it took me 40 minutes to get through to someone and 15 minutes for a conversation at could of been resolved in a 2 minute phone call. Overall a good insurance.”

“Carrot Insurance has been my second car insurance since becoming a new driver. The website is easy to navigate. Multiple times I have used the online chat service on the website and every time the service has been helpful and patient. As someone who hasn't had much experience with car insurance, it is nice to feel like you are being listened to and staff help to answer queries in the best way they can. Not to mention what was included in my price was amazing! The carrot reward scheme is also incredibly motivating and I could not believe how many rewards you can build weekly, all with an amazing choice of voucher! Highly recommend!!”

“Still needs a lot of tweaks with the software . Some issues arisen such as : weekly point button broken , weird average speed of a road that will mark you down (wants you to do 40 on a 70) , also the driving length is abit weird as I took a 15 minute break complying with their advice but the box didn’t recognise I did this so it again marked my score down. Moving onto the customer services as with most places some are useful some are useless .... at carrot I had a bad experience at the start but ever since then they have been okay !”

“I went with this insurance company for my first car, and this policy was what I could afford at the time. I had an incident where I had to have my windscreen replaced due to the large crack, they were so unhelpful and their attitude on the phone to me when I needed help to get it replaced.. Iv cancelled my renewal for this policy and I am going with another company when the time comes!”

“The best priced insurance for young drivers. The reward service is excellent, encouraging young drivers to be safe on the roads. I’ve rarely had to speak to the customer service team but when I have, I received good efficient service. Could not fault carrot insurance. 100% recommend.”
