***WORTH READING*** After uploading my NCD certificate into the Churchill customer portal and been accepted I obtain my insurance certificate and all is well, or is it......... A few weeks after taking out my policy I receive a letter advising I owe money to Churchill for an overlap on my NCD against another vehicle. I question why I would pay this £42 charge when my NCD certificate was accepted and money taken from my account, for the new policy no response from Churchill. I then receive a second letter advising Churchill can no longer insure me past August 2017. Ok no issue I will go hunting for a better deal next year. Still they take payments from my account. A week passes by and then I receive a letter (back dated) advising me I am no longer insured on my vehicle and my policy is void. To put it into context I had been driving nearly a week completely oblivious I was uninsured because Churchill decided to cancel my insurance policy without any notification other than a letter advising my policy would end in August 2017. What started as a small discrepancy about a fee surrounding my NCD has now quickly escalated into a potential small claims for Churchill as I've taken it to a lawyer to deal with. Churchill kept all of the money I paid for my policy, have taken no responsibility for their admin faults, I've had to take out a brand new policy with another provider and to compound how bad Churchill are they then charged me an extra fee because somehow their issue is my fault and their customer services team have gone into hiding as no one their has the decency to do the right thing and call an ex customer to smooth it over and accept liability. An abysmal company with zero morals, no customer care and no responsibility to their customers or other road users. I would hate to think what would have happened if I had crashed Churchill.

Everything is okay until you need to claim (even when your not to blame for fault).. Be warned they use glasses guide to get valuation, which is very unrealistic in pricing, currently 20% down on local trade prices in similar car for a car I have had less than 2 months... Soon as possible I will be going elsewhere, considering they would be profiting from third party insurance group...

Had a very stressful morning ringing around for quotes on renewing my car insurance. I spoke to three different staff over the phone, and all were very friendly and helpful. I was offered advice on how to get the best quote for me and was helped on getting the cost as low as possible. Very pleased and impressed, thanks to the lovely three I spoke to!

Made a claim today and was told my courtesy car should be brought today and mine taken for repairs.come three o'clock still no sign of anyone. Called churchill who told me that their system hadn't notified them of a delay and if I hadn't called then they wouldn't have known. Now I have no car to get to work and their response was that it "wasn't their problem" I won't be using them again.

All fine, until you need them. Inclusive breakdown cover is a farce, and they do not clearly make customers aware that it is only valid for a year, nor that there is no home pickup option. It's all there I suspect, in font 4 on page 45 of a 100 page booklet... My recommendation: Either invest a couple of hours of time reading and committing the document to memory, or avoid. We will not be using them again.

Really good price and no issues until you make a claim. I put a claim in months ago that was non fault. I was told I couldn't have a hire car until the third party admitted liability. The third party did so and got my car. Everything went fine until they sent me my renewal and took three years no claims off me! They said third party had not admitted liability yet; so what about months ago when I got my hire car?! Disgusting. Makes you wonder what they are doing all day. Not their jobs obviously.

Ive just called Churchill to put an extra car on my policy for 28 days as mine is in for repair. I was on hold for a little while because they were experiencing a high volume of calls, I knew I would be though as they put a message on their website stating this. When I got through this wonderful ladies voice started talking to me & I didn't catch her name but she was a breath of fresh air! She was so polite & lovely I instantly warmed to her. I suffer with anxiety & making phone calls makes me quite panicky, instantly she cheered me up, she was so cheerful & lovely. She couldn't help me with my reason for phoning but passed me on to someone that could. I didn't get his name either but he was also lovely & helpful. They both make calling companies less daunting. Well done to churchills customer service! Thank you, A.Killen
