"A Nightmare".. wouldn't sum this up adequately... as I am now claiming for a non fault incident, this company is a complete debacle... forget the nodding dog you see in the adverts... This company is about as customer focused as Wuhan wet market... and looks like they've been boosting their own reviews on here "Anonymous" is certainly a very satisfied group of customers indeed Reporting to the F.C.A. now after a "representative of Churchill" has now proven to be working for "UK ASSISTANCE"... be very wary of this "Company" ... and would suggest recording your own calls for training and monitoring purposes... oh and don't wait for the legal team to call you if you've been injured in your accident... that call NEVER COMES... #shambles

Be very careful if giving your payment details to this company. I was charged for a policy i do not have. They claimed automatic renewal was active (they have reactivated this illegally without my consent). It was deactivated long ago and a fairer priced policy was purchased elsewhere. I know that they have done this illegally because new policy details were never sent to me. BEWARE!

Cancel in time but they still attempted to take money then sent me letters demanding a cancellation fee. On hold for 40 minutes, insurance is fine as long as you don't have to contact them for anything. Complaints response is we can see this has been resolved, yes it cost me 40 plus min of time wasted. Absolutely useless

Very unprofessional, terrible service , inconsistent information provided, not informative. On top of that last time I called them the one who responded was very RUDE!

Tired phoning Churchill several times. Just automated messaging, stating all the advisors are busy. Wasted more than an hour today, trying to get through. Complete waste of my time.

Terrible service, was promised a courtesy car on policy yet when I had a accident no fault of my own they refused to give me one stating my policy don’t allow one yet it was in black and white “Free courtesy car” on my online account and the printed documents they sent to me, don’t recommend them wouldn’t use them again and they won’t get a penny from me anymore

They charged £86 for a minor change on a car policy that only cost £170 in the first place. Will never insure with them again.

They charged me for everything... charging me £53 when my policy was expiring next month, £13 pounds to change an address online. Absolutely ridiculous, especially when I have done the same with my other car (insured with AXA, everything for free)!! Worst insurance ever and I will never go through Churchill again!

Avoid Churchill and their hidden Breakdown Cover charges, I could not start my Mercedes at all, I knew that the problem was a security device fitted to the steering column, I called Churchill Breakdown services on the morning of the 4th of March this year, the operator told me that she would get a mechanic round to try and start the car, I repeatedly told her that it will not start and I needed a tow to a garage, she refused saying he has to try and start it and that because the car was in my driveway I had to pay £105 before anybody could attend, absolute robbery being held to ransom when I thought the breakdown cover did just that, cover me. So I had to pay and of course the guy could not start and the car was towed to a garage. Please do yourself a favour and avoid Curchill.

Bought a new car and went online to change details on my existing churchill policy, there was an extra insurance charge for the new car which I was happy to pay then I got hit with an extra £26. 88 admin fee, thought with me doing it online would save any admin costs. Informed customer service by email of this charge as being unfair and recieved a call to say its in "the small print", I will be taking this matter further with the ombudsman, never in all my years have I been charged to change car details online. Churchill this will be the last £26.88 you will ever get from me, and I will inform friends and family to stay clear!!

Customer service was really bad using their chat feature. I was given the wrong information and they did not seem to understand what I was asking and it felt very rushed and automated. I was told I would have a refund via the person I spoke to on the chat and then I called as it had not been received and was then told no your not entitled to a refund... Also massive hike in price when looking to change address (I was paying monthly). Would not recommend.

The cancelled my policy during COVID despite me calling trying to pay them and sending me a letter with the incorrect opening times. Not only this when I spoke to the staff they were so rude and seemed like they were trying to justify themselves and were trying to win a argument and did not care about there customers. Sharks the lot of them.

I contacted Churchill after receiving my car insurance renewal letter, the new annual cost had only been reduced by less than £40!! For a customer who has been with you for years, since buying her first car, without any accidents, convictions or anything that could be negative within the last few years. To offer less than £40 off the yearly premium is a slap to the face! I haven't used any breakdown or other services but they are charging more than the actual company itself, when asked why the response was appalling. I talked to customer service and have all the screenshots of how rude, uncaring and un-bothered they are, telling me to cancel, buy from a different company and that the services they offer cost more, include less and are better to buy directly from the relevant companies. There is no respect, loyalty or service provided to long term customers, the people I talked to, there first response was there's nothing we can do, we'll go ahead and cancel you insurance. Without even asking me, telling me they're busy and have other stuff to deal with due to the virus. Churchill has not provided any support during these difficult times except charging their customers extra for services that cost less, treating them with no respect and care. The lady I talked to showed her impatience, kept cutting me off trying to end the conversation, would not give me any explanations, told me she had other things to do and can't help me with anything, wouldn't help me Co tact the relevant people and made me feel absolutely awful. I have never met a company that shows a blatant 'I don't care' attitude. To think I've been paying these people for the last few years makes me sick. They're charging £600 more less services than any other company and have no customer service skills, I highly recommend you save your money and buy elsewhere, I will be posting all the screenshots in every car related group I find. Horrible people and company!!!

Thought I’d have to make a claim. Then had to pay £30 for error of code used for speeding points. The only picked up on the error, when they thought I was going to make a claim.
