"After having a car accident a week ago I have called First Alternative 9 times and probably spent a total of 4 hours on the phone in order to try to get a courtesy car which is promised on my policy with no joy at all. One particular claims handler was very rude and unhelpful, I will make a complaint directly to them regarding him. I wouldn\u2019t ever choose this company again I did so because they had a 5 star defacto rating, I don\u2019t know how they achieved it from my experience and being an insurance underwriter myself I\u2019m very dissatisfied with the service, I would not call it treating customers fairly. "

Alwful wrote my car off .. still waiting to be paid out 6 months later … constant lies that Monet has been sent .. looking at court proceedings now

Disgusting Awful DO NOT USE THEM. They lost my car for 9 days then had to phone me and ask me where it was, it then went to a garage three days later i phoned the garage who had been told that it was written off. Its now16 days without a car and I am waiting on the phone now 1hr 30 minutes for the 3rd time calling over 2 days. If I wanted a quote they would have answered within a few minutes as I said disgusting I would never use this company again or there sister company Esure 👎👎👎

Needed to cancel my policy on a 18 year old car as it finally gave up. On a policy that was costing £30 a month they charged a cancellation fee of £90. Absolute rip off when had been a policy holder for three years with no claims.

Can't get thru on numerous telephone numbers, emails don't work. Can't change my car on line. Absolutely disgusted with customer service

Recieved my renewal, - prices had doubled. Renewal due to start 6th november. I called in october to inform them i did not want to renew, was told automatic renewal had be cancelled. Absolutly appalled to see a payment had come out of my bank again from them this month. I logged into my account and they have renewed my policy anyway. I am absolutly fuming. So if this could be given a 0 star it would have been. Shocking, avoid at all cost

Absolutely disgusted by this company I have supposedly had an automatic renewal email, which I have to date not received with a quote for my car insurance nearly double of what I paid the year before. I have not had a claim or speeding fine so I have no idea why. Scanning my accounts I realised that large monthly payments have been automatically deducted without my consent (although the argument is that I gave consent to this a year ago when I took out the policy!!!) Absolutely disgusting and cannot believe that this is allowed. Now I am being asked to pay £35 to cancel the ridiculously priced policy and some sort of legal cover they apparently paid upfront of which I have no paperwork trail of that I ever agreed to! Avoid at all costs!!!!

Hi I head insurance but really bad service when I head accident I give them all evidence energy claim seattle in 10 month But car claim seattle after 2 years but now they not paying my excess fee . Service is bad 00000

Wouldn’t recommend, when you have to make a claim after 18 years of paying insurance they won’t pay you what your car is worth! What have I paid insurance for? Ask them to repair the car instead and their reply is well it will cost double of what we are offering to pay out! Exactly my case.... bad accident near fatal and can’t even get what my car is worth, to replace it like for like.....RIP OFF. I wouldn’t trust them with my life yet alone my car insurance

They love taking your money .But if you have to claim then they push you from pillar to post and" treat you like $hitte .. THE WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH...stay away from this Esure Company ... more like "we Esure know how to mess you about"....

Verry bad services I'm not recommended for any people I'm recently change my adress very near my home same city same post code and they charge me 200£ extra this is not fair

What a joke! Communication absolutely shocking. After 10 e- mails and 5 phone calls, and 3 months I am still waiting for a straight forward claim with the policy holder admitting full responsibility. I am the injured 3rd party. STAY AWAY!!!!

I cancelled my insurance policy 2 days prior to the old one expiring, i appreciated that the process had already begun and the money had been taken from my account, i was informed that for the money to be returned to my account it would take 3-5 working days - after 2 weeks and 3 days the money had not been returned so i called again on 07/12 speaking to Alan Balner who guaranteed again it would be returned within 3-5 working days - i am now on hold again (09/01) waiting to 'Rebecca' to speak with the finance dept. She has come back again informing me that my money (£413.62) will be back with me in 3-5 working days - She would also not provide me with her surname so unsure how many Rebeccas work there. I would 100% not advise anyone - even someone i disliked to have any dealings with First Alternative and i certainly will not have any future dealings with this company.

Awful customer service, very robotic responses. The wouldn't accept my PDF file to show my no claims proof, stating they can only accept PDF files...!? Cancelled policy when customer service proved to be so bad.

Renewed my policy without notifying me and charging me £62.91 to cancel. Money grabbers go elsewhere.
