Never had any problems but had to phone up a few times with some questions and always answered the phone straight away, staff were kind and helpful.

Very unhappy with the service from Hastings Direct. They automatically renewed my policy and took money out of my account without giving me any proper warning. They were also very unhelpful whenever I called customer services with an issue. Would never recommend.

We do send out our renewal invitations 28 days before your policy is due to renew and as a responsible insurer we will always renew a policy to ensure you are always covered. Good insurer to start off on a black box. Their customer service team were very helpful when it came to answering questions about my policy and the black box worked well when I had a near miss and came off the road. I was called promptly after and was asked questions regarding the incident. It went well because nothing had been hit or damaged and I did not need to make a claim, and the person on the phone to me was very understanding.

I had a horrible experience in regards to an accident I had not long after I took out the policy. I didn't feel listened to, I was discriminated against. However, my renewal quote was good and I am happy with the service I have received since.

Initial price of policy beat all competition, but problems from start of policy were apparent when black box scores showed my acceleration on 0 out of 100, and NEVER went above for the whole year. All other scores were on 100, setting off slower than a snail didn't help, another named driver with 40+years experience couldn't bring it up either. Had a VW data plug installed showing that my acceleration is more than acceptable, Hastings denied any inaccuracies... Stay clear of this company, reading other people's reviews, I was lucky the inaccuracies only extended this far.

Excellent idea but apps for both operating system a little unstable requiring you to log in repeatedly. Good data once working.

After using Hastings for just over a year now, I've had no issues with their customer service. The only time I had to get in contact with them, the team was very pilot and helpful.

The service was cheap for my first year of insurance although the black box was limiting. Being out later than 10pm will greatly effect your score. If you use more miles than you put down you better be ready to pay out for them! Although this is the case the staff over the phones were always helpful if i needed anything or any advice.

As an insurance company, we have a level of responsibility to our younger more inexperienced drivers and suggest that they dint drive between these hours.
