I was with the Green Insurance for some years with no problems, however, when KwikFit took over something went wrong. My policy was due for renewal in October but I did not receive any renewell documents. The last documentation was from the Green Insurance when my Wife changed her car in March 2016. It was February before I realised that I was paying £62 a month which was 3 times the cost of the previous year having thought I must have been paying for my 21 year old Sons insurance. I rang to find out why I was paying £62 and was told that my policy renewal was sent out iin September and it was my responsibility to check when my policy was due for renewal. My payments were immediately reduced to £33 but to cancel the policy would almost as be as much as the remaining 6 months. I then tried to check my policy documents and found that I didn't receive them either. My documents are normally sent via email and I was told by KwikFit that they must have been sent to my Spam folder, however, when my documents were resent to me they miraculously appeared in my inbox. Surely, if anything at all was was sent it would have jogged my memory cells and I would have checked. Heaven forbid but thiis does not give me confidence in the event that I should have an accident . I will now count the days when I can change this policy or hope for a huge discount on my next years policy.

My husband cancelled his car insurance in January 2017, as it doubled in price, he rang Kwik fit to tell them he wouldnt be renewing his car policy, had a letter to say it's cancelled. On the 6th Feb 17, they have taken money from our bank account, he has rang them twice to get the money refunded, and still nothing, I guess next step financial ombudsman.

I had a very small claim not my fault. The way they deal with it is totally wrong. There is no follow up , garage was waiting for approval of the estimate ages. I didn't get curtesy car even that it's included in my policy . There is none to talk to to resolve or speed up things. It's the worst insurance I have had in the last 20 years of driving and having insurance .

My insurance renewal in January 2017 tripled , so cancelled the renewal and signed up with someone else. Yet in February i was charged for the new policy !!!, they have created a Direct debit themselves and collected the money . I rang them and been told it was a COMPUTER GENERATED mistake and they will refund me in 5 days . Its 2 weeks and no money refund. Will keep ringing them and emailing as well as complain to the financial ombudsmen if not resolved promptly.

Omg what a joke kwik fit are I renewed my car insurance last march they hadn't got to do anything at all my bank details hadn't changed it was just a renewal then in may I got a letter saying I was in arrears hadn't paid for 2 months I looked on the letter and the bank acct number wasn't even mine they was trying to take it out of someone else's??? I was assured it was all sorted and I paid the 2 monthly payments I'd 'apparently missed' and sorted it out I was then assured the dd was all sorted and all Was fine I got a letter today saying I Owed 0.00 and I thought oh that's the free payment I get back from them that they explained to me when I took it out I rang just to make sure and omg they have not took any payments from my bank since June (when I paid to sort it out) I've had no letters from them Saying I've missed a payment for 7 months but there telling me I've still being insured??? Kwik fit have now said they accept 50% of the blame and they're even charging me a cancellation fee as I don't want to b with them anymore I wonder why?? How can they do that no letters but they demand the full payment I've missed from me plus cancellation and don't forget the letter said 0.00?? I will be taking this to the financial people to look into I have all the letters They've sent to me even the one saying 3rd Feb I owe 0.00 perhaps Alan brown would like to contact me to discuss as this complaint will b going on every social media i know what a joke I've wasted my time ringing them 3 times and it's all at my cost!! 7 months and they never noticed payment wasn't made whose in charge of ur accounts Alan brown operations of nothing?? No one I can see??

If i could give this company no stars i would rude staff and automatically renewed when told not to ! Another company undercut by 40 pounds a month which is a lot over a year ! Stating i must pay 50 cancellation fee plus 250.84 immediatley or i must send them proof i am insured elsewhere, none of their business who i renewed with wont be getting a penny from me worst company ive ever dealt with! Also got reduced price mot when renewed this was big mistake told needed over 1000 pounds work done! Little did they know my brothers a mechanic it cost me 64 in parts plus 50 mot elsewhere next time they try robbing folk they should wear masks ! Avoid like the plauge !!!

"Free MOT" not redeemable ("nothing to do with us any more", say Kwik Fit garages"), renewal price over £1000 more expensive. We've used Kwik Fit Insurance for two years but will never use them again. Avoid.

I have returned from holiday on the 10th January to find this renewal Insurance letter from Kwik Fit which will be renewed on the 12th January 2017, I called 08001836116 before 5pm to cancel the policy, only to find the offices were closed! I do not want this policy as it is more costly than last year and they haven’t contacted me before hand to discuss the requirements cover, the cover I require has changed. I have to now send a letter Royal Mail Special delivery to cancel as I don't have any other options. The most awful service

I am not usually a whinger but felt that people need to know what a joke this "break down" cover is. My car would not start and Kwik Fit arranged one of their contractors (who was lovely) to come out to tow / jump it. He managed to get it started but 30 minutes later it was not working again. When I called Kwik Fit they told me that due to "policy wording" I was not able to get anyone out for a pre-existing issue within a 4 week period!!! WHAT!!!! As they say - you get what you pay for in life, total con job. I will definitely not be using this company again.

DO NOT USE !!! Terrible company I am 48 years old have had no claims in all my 23 years of driving but my policy renewal was more than triple any other company. Charge £20 for missed direct debit the price hike was unbelievable ! I cannot stress enough DO NOT !!! USE THIS SO CALLED INSURANCE COMPANY NO MORE THAN COWBOYS !!! STEER WELL CLEAR !!!

I cancelled my policy before it renewed as they increased from 260 to 760 with no changes to policy. Regardless they took the money even with it being cancelled

Piss poor service wanted to charge me double what i paid last year and my no claims had 13 years going in with them and they only give you nine years max when you leave how does that work, cancelled ny direct debit with them and changed banks as i cant trust them not to be unscruplous and renew the dd

My wife's car insurance was raised from £400 to £1156. She has not claimed, she has a clean 20 year driving history. Please do not get an insurance policy from these people. We got a policy for £340.00 with same cover from a different company. Please DONT get a car insurance from these people. I will never!!!!!

Absolute extortion. No convictions, crashes or anything else to put up my insurance but found Kwik Fit charging me £846 as opposed to under £200 a year for car insurance (£91 as opposed to £18 a month). They claimed that there panel of insurers provided them with a "more competitive renewal price". Do not automatically renew insurance with them (for the first time in years I missed the small print "do not automatically renew" box). Even when I went to cancel they charged me £170 for one month including cancellation fees, which after my complaining they reduced to £95. Be very cautious if you insure with Kwik Fit. Their panel of insurers are very limited and Kwik Fit will not quibble about a £700 hike in your annual bill.

Kwik Fit should not be authorised by the regulator to sell Motor insurance. They are a total disgrace. I moved from Aviva from 7th October 2016, on 9th October !!! Kwik Fit cancelled my new policy with them saying "despite various requests for proof of your No claims bonus, we are giving you 7 days notice of cancellation". This was total hogwash and when I returned from holiday to see this I was fuming. DO NOT BUY CAR INSURANCE FROM THESE CHARLATANS
