i am a disabled person, I had to make 4 trips totalling 4 & half hours of my time with staff that do not listen, staff who do not know what they are doing. They didn’t update the new address on their system, the old address was 12 years old! My recent statement had the new address. So much trouble for a simple task of getting online activation code to be able to log online to make a payment transfer. The codes never arrived after 3 attempts. Finally the manager said she’ll deal with it & set it up and said to speak to her directly if anymore issues. The next issue was it wouldn’t allow me to pay someone else because it’s a saver. They knew I wanted to transfer money but they continue to say they didn’t know it was a saving account where u can’t pay someone else from it and that I wanted to pay someone. Isnt it their job to know what kind of account I had and to know that I can’t get a code to begin with. I went straight to manager as per her request and she pass me over to someone else. I’ve never had to go through this with my other bank. Lloyds by far is the worse bank with untrained staff. They are polite enough but they have wasted my time.

I still won't forget when you said it was my fault for being frauded. Never helped me and I was in a bad situation. You said I spent that money when I clearly didn't have my card. I never knew those places, you say you help people, not a chance. Your customer advisors had no sympathy at all and it was a lot of money for me. Never understood my situation and didn't try to make an effort.

Well if you want to join this bank I advise you read this! Last year I gave them an address update and lost the form and threw it under the carpet not caring. When I got back and was told they had not done anything I was mad a said for losing my personal information I will not be contacting ICO about this. Oh didn't they panic? This year I went to the branch in Wigston with my assistant dog and was told to leave and I refused as my legal right to be there with my dog. I was told if I don't leave they will close down my accounts. I got what needed to be done they contacted them by phone. Had to log a complaint and they throwing it under the rug again. Right now on phone with poor service putting them on notice to fix it in 7 days or I will sort out a summons for damages

I agree with Avi Swain the same happened to me then they said please ring tomorrow after just short of 3 hours of my life wasted DIGUSTING I have been with Lloyds for over 40 years and all I wanted to know is why is my visa debit card not accepted anywhere. Present moment is I have just got out of hospital but as soon as I feel good I will change my bank.

I have just looked through several big bank reviews to find all the same. General consensus - bad, then all the similar frustrated, stressed out customers talking about changing banks..... Seems what is needed is a general official review of ALL banks and building societies and a complete shake-up of the system. Will try posting this on all big bank review sites. Time for change.

Rubbish customer service, being put on hold for two and half hours , tossed around for more than six times between various members of theteam and finally told to contact tomorrow. Should not be in business.

Absolutely pathetic bank. I was left a generous inheritance which got my account frozen. Called and gave proofs I wasn't laundering, transferred money to my wife and my mother and all 3 accounts frozen again. Then I actually had fraudulent activity on my account that lost me literally thousands of pounds and suddenly the bank didn't want to know. Took me 4 days in a row of phone calls to get the card cancelled, and I gave up after 2 years of the bank being disinterested in helping me claim my money back. Now I'm over drawn by £60 and you'd think I owe them the world the way they heavy handedly deal with it. Funny how that works, I'm not in a hurry to sort my overdraft as this sorry excuse for a bank refused to listen or to help when someone was using my account fraudulently. Absolute disgrace, if I could give zero stars I would.

I have just been into the small branch of Lloyds off Bawtry Road, Wickersley, Rotherham. I wanted to open an account. The lady at the back of the counter could not have been more helpful - showing me on her own mobile phone how to do it (I already have a joint account with Lloyds). I opened the account online prior to leaving. It took me two minutes. I should add that I spent 1.5 hours last night trying to reactivate an old Halifax account then drove into Rotherham to follow instructions from the phone call only to be told I needed to make an appointment and there wasn’t one for at least 1 hour with no guarantee. Excellent service at Lloyds, Wickersley.

My local branch is very dirty, the staff are poorly trained and one staff member was extremely rude to customers and impertinent when I complained about her conduct

This should be called "museum of banking" some XVI century rules there. Time waster.

Really backwards bank. I closed the business account with them and arranged automatic transfer of all my direct debits etc to my new account but instead they just closed my account without any arranged transfers leaving me unable to make necessary payments on time. In addition they charge for simple business account yet there is no perks and when you need any service there is no point going to the branch as they just fob you off to go online or call them therefore I moved to starling business account and can do everything from wherever place at whatever time and the account is free of charge

Shocking lack of consideration for customers . Credit cartd held by me since the beginning of time with this once great but now hopeless bank declined at beginning of week without explanation . Utterly appalling telephone service perpertually engaged - occassionally answered by bodies totally ill equipped to oiffer any sensible answers finally accessing somebody with half a brain cell(yipee) gets the response that my card had been blocked by them since they did not have all the information to add 'another level ' of security to my account , I am perplexed because nobody asked me - I do not read minds and consider that their attitude could mean they have broken their contract with me in not honouring declined transactions whereby I as their customer have dealt with them for the majority of my adult life in various guises , I am both shocked and staggered by their cavalier and uncaring approach to me in this matter and truly pity their counter staff and call handlers who must have one of the most stressed jobs in banking should others suffer the same frustrations as i have in this instance as the tail appears to be wagging the dog to excess . Lloyds - you should be apalled !!!

Lloyds Bank have caused me and my husband so much stress and upset. We have been trying to open a bank account with Lloyds for a small charity helping children in hospital that we have set up in memory of our beautiful little daughter who died aged one. We have told Lloyds time and time again that we have two big donations that will expire soon and that we need the official bank account open but it has taken them months and they still haven't opened it, they constantly make excuses. They say the required documents haven't been submitted, then we tell them they have and they find them and they say they'll open the account but don't and when we call again two weeks later they say the documents aren't there, then they find them, it's just laziness and incompetence but it's going to lose The Little Miss Champion Trust £1500. They said yesterday that they now have EIGHT WEEKS to look into our official complaint, but the deadline to open an account is four weeks (which passed ages ago), so basically they're just giving themselves another two months to do nothing. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID-I wish we had used another bank now. It's so disrespectful to our daughter's memory. 😢

Lloyds buissness customer been with them 40years. Service has gone down the drain. Closing busy local branches in order to bank now have to go into the town centre, which is difficult time consuming not suitable for disabled people who can't get near to the central branch. Went to central buissness branch to talk about a new commercial mortgage in order to expand no people available has to be done on phone. Where is their community spirit, with you all the way rubbish. As a shareholder I am not happy

I'm giving a start because I don't have any other option. It is awful...few days ago I made a payment to my own account the one is saved, so there is no chance to send the money to a wrong account how they suggested. It has been few days and they have done NOTHING to sort it out apart from saying that they don't know where the money is. Besides, after complaint and saying that I'm going to cancel my account they recognise that they are having troubles with some payments. But I'm still waiting for them to sort it out and find out where the money is 🤷‍♀️

WORST HOME INSURANCE! DO NOT BUY, STAY WELL AWAY! I'm not one to write reviews but I was left with no option and wouldn't want someone else to be scammed by Lloyds like I was. I purchased Lloyds Premier Home Insurance, the top insurance they have to ensure I was fully covered. Earlier this year we had a leak in our bathroom at home, which ruined the bathroom, floor boards, downstairs ceiling and part of the downstairs wall. I contacted Lloyds, they sent a surveyor round who spent all of 10 minutes in my house. I then received a phone call to advise that I wasn't covered because the leak had come from a seal/grout. So effectively it's pointless having this home insurance as they don't cover bathroom leaks unless someone bombs your house. It cost me over £3,000 to put right and Lloyds didn't put a penny towards it, so not only have they lost a home insurance customer they have also lost me as a personal account holder and business account holder. Please don't make the mistake I did, get your insurance from another provider.
