Cheap price but expensive payable excess online easy to fill in. and buy Problems occurs with talking to someone on the phone robots and script reader with no means to answer questions and you get answer "well that is what the computer tell me"

No problem dealing with MCE after they quoted me online, price was very excellent. The only problem comes when you need to speak with them in person, you get the run around and then get cut off! But as long as they keep the cost down who cares, just need to learn to allow 2 hours waiting on the phone!!

I didn’t get a renewal letter, it’s up to the individual to get another quote, which is a pain as they already have all my data. Been using bike insurance since 1976 and I’ve always had a renewal letter as well as a reminder, apart from here. So I rushed it, and got the renewal date wrong, so I went a day without being insured. I had also spoke to customer service team, who somewhat abruptly told me I need to speak to sales. Decided to go to my downloads to check documentation and the policy schedule was blank. So I phoned customer services, unfortunately, it was sales who answered it and told me I had to phone customer services. Whilst waiting for the transfer, which I wasn’t convinced would happen, I went onto online chat, who assured me my docs would be resent to my download folder. I actually did the renewal thro go compare, easy and cheap. So, I’d love to know why we don’t get renewal letters with a new price, which, if it looks ok, you just renew and save all this hassle.... and you don’t miss a day.

Your web site and quotation procedures are very easy to follow and the final costs are very competitive within the industry.particularly like the breakdown recovery which is included in the policy.

Have used MCE for several years now. Good prices and friendly service. A couple of blips (with sending documents) quickly sorted by telephone or online. On one occasion I forgot my documents (yes, I still use paper) while touring France. One quick phone call and I picked them up by email at my next stop. Have never claimed, so can't comment there.

Do not use them avoid! Appalling customer service, total lack of empathy to their customers. Website is useless kept crashing and when I eventually managed to pay it said my payment had been declined. So many calls later and a large phone bill I eventually found my payment had been accepted. AVOID!

Only got one star as was the cheapest at time of quote and that went OK, however having sold my bike and having 7 months left to run on the policy thought I would cancel. Initially rang and was on hold for 20 minutes so used the online portal and asked when was the best time to call, response was calls are waiting for an hour and she couldn't cancel online, wouldn't do a call back based on giving her my number just told me to wait. Rang back again and was on hold for 35 minutes. Agent cancelled my policy but then said there wouldn't be a refund! Never in my life have I come across this as a process. Glad I found out how bad they are this way rather than a claims process as suspect they would not have been the best. Ridiculous customer service and would avoid using again!

Having never claimed in all my years riding I cannot judge mce on that procedure, my only complaint is that after years of being a loyal customer they keep pushing the price up, this year 2020 by £60 approx , appalling behaviour , loyalty goes both ways, good bye mce, hello Carol Nash £90 less, thanks to MCN compare.

Have been with MCE.for several years,I was notified my renewal was due completed new application on line and got a competitive quote but needed to speak to a sales person to verify a change to policy,unable to through by telephone after trying for a total of over two hours I gave up called another broker got all sorted and paid for within twenty minutes.This is appalling,another customer lost.
