Total Sham or is it a Scam. Don’t get me wrong but the price was brilliant and I decided to pay it monthly which I had to do on my card as they don’t do Standing orders 😳 All was fine but my card expired and and my bank issued a new one but they had moved away from visa and now it’s a MasterCard. Unknown to me MCE don’t take MasterCard snd also I didn’t realise about the card number changing, Let alone all the companies I’d used my old card with. MCE called me wanting me to pay late charges of £30 because of it. As they didn’t take MasterCard nor took Standing orders I reluctantly paid it on my wife’s card. I wasn’t happy about paying the charge as it was out of my hands. It gets better, last week the phone rang snd it was MCE again saying I had an outstanding debt cuz I’d missed December,(my last payment). I hadn’t realised they had kept my wife’s card details tried taking payment but it failed. My wife’s card had done the same expired, and transformed into a MasterCard. Staff wasn’t understanding, unhelpful and intimidating, just stated they would get their debt collector to recover it if I didn’t pay the other £30 late charge. Never again will I used MCE as I think they don’t do standing orders or DD’s just so they can add charges to your account. At this rate I should have gone with someone else, I would have saved money.

Complete sham of a company, renewed with them and they falsefied my no claims on my policy stating it as a different insurance company and "fjdjdjdj" as the policy number... Reported the company

I Set up an insurance policy for my motorbike on 6th November 2020 online and was quoted £1151.82 to which I accepted. I paid a deposit of £289.60 and set up a payment plan for the rest at £132.88 per month which my father is paying. After the policy was set up online, I didn’t receive any insurance documents or terms and conditions. I chased MCE online via webchat daily throughout November and received no replies at all. I emailed on the 18/11/2020 and 27/11/2020 which were both initially ignored, I then got a random email from an Oliver who said he was also having trouble sending them to me and he would resolve and come back to me. He didn’t! Today 7th January 2021 I received an email from Kelly in the customers service team for MCE stating that they are trying to contact me as there is an error in my policy. I can confirm that this is untrue as MCE have made no attempted to do so. I called customer service myself and spoke to a customer advisor who said there was a mistake at their end when setting up the policy and he would have to cancel the policy within 7 days and set me up a new policy. He then went on to say the new policy was considerably more expensive and I would have to pay this difference in charges along with their increased interest rate on future monthly payments. I expressed my extreme dissatisfaction with this and told him that I do not accept this and was not giving him my authority to cancel my current policy as I had not breach any of their conditions and have fulfilled all of my contractual payments. He then said he took advice, and he could do this. Since this I have received emailing giving me a 7-day cancelation notice which will now leave my very expensive motorbike uninsured and due to the current pandemic, I can’t afford to pay the extra. MCE insurance do not care about their customers and ignore all communications sent to them; they also don’t mind breaking FCA regulations if it benefits them. My recommendation would be don’t consider MCE insurance at all. Imagine if you actually needed to claim!!

Avoid. They don't use direct debit, they will then say that they couldn't take a monthly payment and charge you an extra £30. I checked with my bank and they hadn't even attempted to take the payment. Then received an email to apologise and that they are having problems with their payment systems. Next month, same again, received a voicemail to say they couldn't take payment and if I didn't sort it in six hours they'll cancel the policy. This was on Xmas eve. So they cancelled it; fine with me, saves me having to wait hours on the phone to speak to rude CS.

Never, ever use MCE Insurance. I was on holiday in Europe and just tumbled from standing on a slope - injured my shoulder so hol cancelled .RAC EU Breakdown were fantastic - bike not broken down but paid for hotels and flight for me to return home. MCE would do nothing unless I claimed for an accident to bike. Bike suffered only a 2" scratch to exhaust and a scuffed mirror tip. I would not have bothered claiming if bike had been in UK. MCE got it to UK then insisted on writing it off inc. declaring its steering defective and dangerous, after demanding I send them the V5 "to help them assess the claim". Bike worth £2500 and they offered a buy-back at £500. Entirely unscrupulous - concerned about limiting their costs at all costs to the customer.

Beware of MCE made 9 out of my 10 instalments never missed a payment and because I asked about moving my insurance address they cancelled my policy without notice. Buyer beware

After a rough start with customer service people who seemed to be struggling with volume of work IMHO, Marc helped me correct an error that I had made on a policy, this man is a credit to superb customer service, above and beyond brilliant, a very satisfied customer

Hopeless, 2 months ago never took my DD so phoned and payed said it would not happen again? Christmas eve phoned at 1500 when otherwise engaged. Cancelled the policy on the Sunday? Then blamed me for not checking my bank account ? What is even worse that the girl told me she checks her everyday sometimes twice, what a life she must lead? Awful

Didn't email a renewal said they would. Customer service terrible and half their work force in the Philippines to undercut UK economy and save money. Very rude CS. AVOID.

There customer service is terrible, you get the opinions on the phone system and get to some American service centre who are as helpful as a chocolate tea pot literally. And transfer you to someone else and nobody answers. This so called MCE bike insurance, has to be one of the worst?? I paid a annual payment and phoned to change over the registration for a new bike and they wanted to charge me another £227.00 on top of the £207 I payed in June 2020??? Don’t use for your bike insurance???

Terrible customer service, long waits and ambivalent staff. Premium increases if you want to add crash bungs to policy (I was expecting a discount), but in the event of an accident they will only replace with bike manufacture standard parts which isn’t actually possible for many bikes. They know sod all about bikes and the needs of bikers and don’t seem to care. They are also not issuing Green Cards for European travel. I won’t be renewing with them.

Do not use MCE for insurance,it is so difficult to speak to anyone on the phone,they cancelled our insurance two weeks before telling ourselves,which in fact meant we were using the vehicle for two weeks illegally which simply cannot be right, because we did not download their app and then refused to refund our premium after they cancelled our insurance.This company is using very underhand business practices to make money from customers.I would also point out that they took the premium twice from our card when we took the insurance out and it took them along time to refund the monies and even then I did not get any acknowledgment from them that it had been done. This is quite clearly a shoddy,underhand and devious company which should not be allowed to trade and should be being investigated by the insurance ombudsman.

Had such a BAD EXPERIENCE as they refuse to send a prof of No Claim Bonus over to me. Tried email, letter and over the phone. Impossible to get through them BUT if they need to charge you more they contact you. Avoid those people.

I paid for my insurance policy only to find I then had to use their app to validate it. The app was useless and wouldn't work so 2 weeks later they cancelled my insurance and refuse to refund my money. If you're lucky enough to get through by phone your kept on hold for 2 hours until your fed up and hang up. Will be reporting then to the insurance ombudsman. Bunch of thieves. Please avoid using them.

been trying to apply for my greencard to ride abroad for weeks with no response. I also have had my policy for over 3 months without receiving any correspondence regarding my policy or my login details for the customer portal!
