Easy to deal with, but it took you three times to send me my correct documents by email. Not that good do you think ???

i have insured with mce for many many years, have never claimed, my bike is worth less each year yet the price goes up every year, the level of cover is reduced constantly in the fine print, im not naive i know all companies do this, thefts in my area are not up as far as im aware which is the usual excuse, it would just be nice if once the customer came first over profit, perhaps i am naive, major shop around next year.

Good price. The girl that answered the call was clueless though.

I have two jobs and only one of the jobs is on my policy document when I was told that I'd be charged more insurance based on the fact I have two jobs. I sent an email in regards to this and I am still waiting for a response.

Having just renewed the same bike with the same riders I was kept on the line reiterating all the same details with the tele operator for over 19 min and WAS quite happy with the cost of renewal. However, that was until I received my Vodafone bill with the itemised cost to MCE of £12.08 as I’d used the 0844 number that was on the website recommended for contacting an operator as my Triumph Speed Twin was not on your system as a valid bike so had to phone you. Now I feel “ripped off” Please MCE, update your Make and Model data and stop using 0844 numbers to make extra money from your loyal customers

Make sure when you renew with MCE insurance using bikeinsurer, the price you see on the bikeinsurer results page is the price you pay at MCE checkout (as you are diverted to MCE pages, my circumstances per page didn't change, no reason for a price increase at checkout). I received an email notification in June to renew (my insurance was due to end July 14, no rush), but by the first week of July the quote had increased by £5, with no explanation and the assigned reference quote didn't change. I discovered on the phone with MCE that there was a discount for June only. But the bikeinsurer results page, didn't mention there was a discount applied already or that it would expire. I raised this missing information with MCE as a complaint, but they ignored the point I was raising entirely instead they 'looked at the two quotes [amounts], and can see that there are no differences between them'. However, they did decide to refund my CC £5, but they didn't uphold the complaint I made, as they deliberately missed the point I was making. Odd company to deal with! The discounted quote was for £268.71, but I paid £273.38 for full comp cover (as a straightforward payment not in instalments) at the checkout.

Existing customer. Had to go online to a comparison site to half my insurance quote. Come on MCE start looking after your loyal customers.

Renewal letter has no price, directs you online to get a quote. Went online and even though you are an existing customer you have to go through all questions like you are new customer. Called up to get a quote, told it was based on same details as last year and were they all still valid. The price given was for a different excess level from the previous year. Was also more interested in talking about the monthly payment option even though I had already said I would not be interested in that.

I set up my policy and was quoted £30 more that i was online.... Moments after i check... But im like ok things change.. Next day i get a call from a lady saying there was some incrorrect infomation on my policy so it had not gone through. And no one had told me. They fixed it and refunded (waiting for refund now) the deposite.. Felt like no one new what was going on.

The customer service was fine although when question about the £100 increase from the online quote (as anonymous has also stated below) i was asked do you want to renew at £197 or take your chance with the online quote. Seams to be a recurring issue with MCE. i will encourage others to go elsewhere.

Not too impressed when an old quote from 2016 was sent to me via e-mail as my insurace documents - had to wait ages to speak to somebody to get it rectified on the phone

Price seemed reasonable, however.. despite a frantic call to their customer services when 3 annual premiums have been charged to my account, and the lady assuring me they would only take 1, I checked today and 2 have been taken and 1 is pending.. let’s hope this is a Monday morning oversight and I will have the money refunded ASAP! Check when their site says payment not successfully taken, as quite clearly In my case, it was... 3 times at a cost of almost £1000 that I cannot afford to be without. I am disappointed to say the least, let’s hope this is not representative of the company’s overall performance.

Although the price was ok and bought online. Trying to get through on the phones was a nightmare around 30 minutes for phone to be answered and then transferred to another department for a 20 minute wait. Gave up in the end. Is this a bad sign, should you be unfortunate enough to be involved in an rtc.

Cannot open documents sent by email, attachments sent in email are of MCE logo, signatures etc 9 altogether. Rang customer services to inform them of above Wednesday 3rd July. Told to reregister account, to open docs, this did not work either, entered email address, password with Capitals and postcode as instructed, will not allow me to reregister, cannot check my documents, getting frustrated.

Had to call breakdown through MCE. Stuck on a very busy road with a very heavy motorbike...arguing with the guy on the phone. Found out cover doesnt include your KEY. If you look closely so much is excluded even in a fully comp policy its almost useless
