“I was told when took out the insurance I would be sent a policy in the post. Its been over a month not here yet. Please send asap. Then it would be 5stars Clive”

“I agree with the other excellent reviews with regard to the staffs service at Principal Insurance, however customers might be interested in my disappointment this year when I was informed that now I am 71 my multi policy insurance company would not cover me and Principal would have to put me with separate companies for my two bikes. Although I have been riding bikes for 50 years without a bike claim, I was also informed that I would lose my NCB on my second bike. Any body who takes out a multi policy should be aware that if for any reason you separate the cover, you might lose your NCB on one bike. I didn't realise this and was not told when I originally took out the cover. But thanks to Principal for sorting out my cover, just worried what it's going to cost me next year for the second bike???”

“These guys are cowboys. They said they had an issue with the data used to build my policy and stated they would call me. They took 7 weeks to call me, when the discrepancy was found between the data the comparison site used they then cancelled the policy. I have not had any further contact or a refund for nearly 3 weeks. When on the phone, they stated most of my premium would be absorbed in the cancellation fee, which was higher because it was outside the 14 day cooling off period. The only reason it is outside is because THEY say on it for 7 weeks!! I'm convinced they play and bend these rules to their advantage - a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman is in order for poor customer service and excessive and unfair fees.”
