“Chose Principal Insurance from a price comparison site; however it needed my son who is the named driver to submit images of driving license, CBT and verification code. Getting the latter took a couple of days as it needs verification from a third party like the Royal Mail and others. He spoke to Abi, a customer services specialist who advised accordingly and gave him an extension to the deadline. He states that this particular person was very professional, understanding and provided him with all the answers to his initial queries. The verification code was submitted some time later but before the extended deadline so thumbs up. We even received acknowledgment to this as well. We have not made any claims hence why the four stars as we cannot comment on that angle.”

“Too much information needed to validate policy I have never been asked for DVLA codes and photos of licenses before just to start the policy”

Thanks for the honest feedback, we understand your comments and can appreciate the process can seem frustrating. However, most other insurers ask for the same/similar documents in an attempt to reduce fraudulent claims and ensure policy details are correct. We hope you now understand why we ask for these documents.

“I rang the office with lots of questions (first time moped owner). All my questions were answered by a helpful operative. They were knowledgable, friendly and very quick at sorting the insurance. Highly recommend.”
