Not sure where to start really! I took out car insurance with Quote me Happy in May 2019. Changed my car late August but could not access my account to amend details completely locked out and no other way to contact them. I needed to pick up new car so had to write off insurance despite there being 8 months cover still to run on it and took out new policy with new company. Tried raising it with Aviva to no avail and currently there is an open enquiry with Financial Ombudsman. However about 4 weeks ago an email came in for the renewal for a car I have not owned since start of September 2019, I managed to use link on email and set up new password to access my account and cancelled the insurance or so I thought! Today £163 has been taken out my account , I raised this with PayPal today through Resolution centre to be told I can't have a refund as the payment was authorised. Payment most certainly not authorised by me and does this mean Quote me Happy will help themselves to my money every year! Never ever have I had problems with an insurance company like Quote me Happy who remain completely faceless and unaccountable it appears. Quote me Happy is owned by Aviva, who told me they couldn't help as it was a separate company and they can't access the records - consequently deal with them at you peril.

Truly dreadful company! Terrible customer service please avoid at all costs. No customer service number or email, so hard to get hold of. Because of the corona virus I needed extra time to gather together no claims discount because all the companies took ages to get back to me. Aswell as my wife being a nurse and family members being subject to corona virus we have had quite a difficult month or so, all of this was explained to customer service and they had nothing to say other than no extension will be given and that they are cancelling our policy and fining us £55. Now my wife has been getting taxis to work and we can't safely go to the shops. We tried getting new insurance straight away but because of staff shortages it's been a few days that we have had no use of a car. I can't explain strongly enough how poor their service was. They just simply did not care about us as people and had no care for us being their customers.

Avoid at all costs!!!! Very poor customer service. No open communication, only emails back and forth. Only one email every 24hrs. Normal phone conversation can take take weeks over email. I'd zero star if i could.

The worst service ever numerous emails would not cancel policy when request incur ridiculous charges cancellation fee when you do it yourself on my account and not cancelling when requested. I would advise all to give this one a miss. You get what you pay for. No customer service worst ever website can not make changes. Money grabbers.

Wouldn't even give one Star, Absolute waste of time, the quote was over 3 times more expensive, didn't quote me happy at all, disgusted and offended by such a ridiculously overpriced quote 💩 😂

Bought a car at a garage - I tried to retrieve the quote I had sorted the day before so I could drive legally on the road. I could not access the quote so I had to start again. Just as I got to pay, it timed out. I had to start again, and the third quote was £50 higher! I had time constraints so had to accept the quote to drive home but I wish I had read the reviews below before I started. I am going to cancel even though I will loose out financially because I cant trust them if I need to make a claim and its so frustrating not being able to speak to anyone. An expensive mistake.

My kitchen was damaged by water in November. I am currently waiting for an answer to an email I sent on 28 February. The whole claim procedure is slow. It is not even Quote me Happy that will pay long term as the guy who caused the damage has admitted liability

My building ins. premium renewal was three times as expensive as the last two years'. No reason was given. I've made no claims and don't live somewhere at risk of flood etc. There was no number or email address given to contact them for an explanation. They have come up on Compare The Market as the cheapest for car insurance but I'll not give them any more business. I dread to think what service they'd provide if I ever needed to make a claim.

I was appalled that they put down an incident where my mother called about someone scratching her car (it was a very minor scratch but she got worried), but then told them she didn't want to make a claim when I told her she has excess to pay if she does. She touched it up with paint from the car manufacturer so you can't even notice it now. Yet they put this on her record as a fault claim. Then trying to contact them, someone put me through to them on the phone, only for them to hang up on me before I even had a chance to talk to them. Sending them a message online, and no one has replied or got back to me, now my mother cannot get insurance with the current provider because of their errors! Also they want £2200 for insurance when last years was £800. Yet they have given us 1 year no claims! They seem incompetent if not devious to say the least!

I downloaded Proof of No Claims Discount in TIF format on five occasions via their website and received texts and emails stating it had not been received and threatening cancellation (plus a £50 penalty). There was no Email address or Phone number to enable me to sort it out. Finally I had to resort to the Complaints Procedure to obtain an Email address and sent it as an email attachment. Clearly their system is flawed as the same document went through first time as an email attachment.

Having been emailed a quotation from them as a new customer and then having no success accessing my account, trying to contact them is an absolute nightmare and their website is no better. I would suggest you avoid them like the plague!

Insured with buildings insurance my property is grade 2 listed and 160 years old. Following two storms which were unprecedented my roof developed a leak Imagine my surprise to find that building insurance didn’t cover the slates the lead flashing or the masonry nor the internal damage that resulted This policy is a complete waste of money don’t bother with it !!

Renewal quote (over £350) for home insurance was more than double the previous year’s cost despite no claims being made. Reinsured elsewhere (esure) for less than half the quoted amount.
