These deserve a ZERO I cancel my policy and was to by a member of staff to cancel my direct debit as I'm struggling and I discover these scammer hit me with a £20 missed direct debit I'm totally disgusted way I been treated gets threatening emails from these clowns they got no comparison or customer skills AVOID RAC THEY BUNCH OF SCAMMERS

Avoid this company at all cost!!!! Absolutely disgraceful! Reward loyal customers with 330% premium increases 9 years no claims no points not even as much as a window chip claim disgraceful. Price gone from 50pm to 177pm with no justification no notification and or reasoning. Diabolical and leaves a very bad taste. when phoned to question why Hassan at customer services finds it highly hilarious and just laughs down phone saying inflation. No renewal quote delivered to me at address no call or notification Hassan stated renewals only given to customer if requested else it just rolls over year by year and they can charge what they want when they want. Please avoid this company they deserve the same loyalty they show loyal customers

Feel totally ripped off! Paid over £400 for annual multi trip and all seemed RAC backed and fine. Had to claim for £250 of lost flights in early September for medical reasons then encountered RAC's loss adjusters - total nightmare. All communication had to be by email, they refused to divulge their address or phone number - very dodgy! At first they refused to accept claim because we failed to declare a pre-existing condition. We sent proof of our declaration! They finally settled in late November. Our original policy document showed an excess of £100 - fair enough. But they took £200, £100 per person as opposed to £100 per claim. Then took off a further £13 each for APD (whatever that is!) leaving us with a final settlement of £25.....

Classic bait and switch. Quoted the lowest price on a certain comparison website, to appear cheapest for car insurance. Then, after getting to the final step on their own site, added a £41 'arrangement fee' for the delight of them arranging insurance with Aviva! So not cheap, not honest, and not even RAC.

Disgraceful practices - they pretend to be selling you RAC rated services and then right before purchase point they slip cover documents in which are by Covea Insurance, a terribly reviewed company. Another corrupt con artist insurance tactic. Shame on you. WATCH OUT PEOPLE.

Was supposed to be auto renewal as was for many years with them and they didn’t auto renew meaning my insurance didn’t renew and my quote of 688 was lost and they would only reinsure for 1500. Ridiculous, so unhelpful with the situation and wouldn’t do anything to sort it or keep me as a customer after years with them! Also even if you update details on the portal like most companies let you do at no extra cost they charge you £25 every change! Robin Hood mentality of a company

This company do not deserve all the bad reviews.Experienced electric problems wit Jag having gone through water.Had initial problems with contacting Saga with whom RAC operate but they did call me back one day later and service was helpful and friendly. I was asked to forward estimate along with proof of payment and three days later received payment.No complaints at all.

Was quoted a renewal fee 5 times the cost of the previous year! Honestly..... it went from £700 to £3,400... 20% the value of the car itself! Needless to say I cancelled and moved on...

Hit a pot hole and wheel was completely ruined, phoned up and was told they couldn’t do anything and all they could do was send a tow truck which would cost a further £150. Took 4 hours to arrive and it was a completely different company and the driver himself told us that we shouldn’t have been charged for that

After breaking down on Thursday19th October and contacting RAC breakdown I had had a complete nightmare 15 days later I still have no car it was ta to a garage to be fixed I was given a courtesy for 1 day to return home 151miles away was told car would be fixed on 23rd but only got fixed on Thursday 26th I was contacted by garage to say car was ready and I had to inform Rac it was to be Collected I was told I didn't have to do anything more they would sort everything I heard nothing tried ringing all weekend to speak to someone but was on hold everytime for over 40 minutes got to speak to garage again on Monday they informed me RAC had not been intouch to arrange collection so had to get back in touch the person i spoke to said that they had gone to where I said car was but it was not there i could not believe what i was hearing and ask him if he was saying they had no idea where my car was as the breakdown driver had towed the car away to a garage that they used i didn't know where car had been taken i only had a phone number to which i gave the person the phone and requested he ring the garage to sort this he said he would do this everyday i have had to ring RAC to try and get my car returned i have been told it's on it's way only 90 minutes away and never gets delivered i have been told same thing 6 times made over 24 calls sent emails had know give me any explanation why I have been waiting 15 days I have meeting with solicitor to see if they can get this situation sorted as i am findh the whole situation frustrating and stressful i have taken time of work because i cant pay for taxi everyday the customer service has been absolutely shocking I never used RAC breakdown before but I certainly wont buy it again

I wish I 'd read some of these reviews before giving them my money.. what a bunch of con artists. The minute you need to make a simple change (new job/ address) they can't help and then tell you that you'll have to cancel the policy for making an enquiry, which would leave you uninsured. Jokers.. AVOID.. I'll never use them again EVER!

Absolute sham. All image but once they have your money you are nothing to them. They will leave you abandoned 24 hours in winter on a country lane and not give a damn.

1 star because I can't give 0. Stay away from car insurance with RAC. Breakdown cover and car insurance are two other products from RAC, of ​​which Car Insurance, despite the fact that RAC advertises it with its product, actually uses other companies from which it takes out policies, these are underwriters, companies whose opinion is usually less than 2* out of 5.Check them before signing a contract with RAC. The company scams people and then in case of an accident you have to deal with companies like Markerstudy who have a rating below 2* .Stay away.

Probably the most inefficient & ineffective insurance company I have ever had the misfortune of giving my money. Takes 6 months to replace glass & disputes the complaint about the time taken & as you have had to chase them, they consider it appropriate communication. Then with another claim now 3 months in, caused by a third party where CCTV footage, clearly showing the vehicle registration of the car that hit my stationary car overnight have done NOTHING at all because the third parties insurance company hasn't picked up the phone. I wish I had used the insurance company of the party that damaged my car...... At least they are trying to protect the no claims bonus of a drugged up driver, clearly rolling a joint & smoking it on camera.

poor customer service, have to have an oline self serviced account, then charge me £25 for updates to policy that I have to administer. Slow, website crashes all the time. Spend the extra £20 and go with aviva.

Never again, total con!!! Changed car and was lower insurance group was taking my daughter off the insurance as she is a first time driver on a provisional license which cost me an extra £350 in the first place. The price was £214 extra on top of the £680 or £213 extra with my daughter taken off, got a quote elsewhere for £224 for the year. Go and f—k your self Rac. Keep well away. 🤬
