“Used you twice before for loans no problem this time nothing but problems paperwork lost supposed to pick up new vehicle on Saturday still no paperwork Thursday . sent last Friday first class post my fault should have allowed 5 days for post to arrive and to cap it all phoned today to say still no paperwork and the customer service person put the phone down on me when I said what's the point of formally complaining as no one cares and if to proof my point she cut me off thanks sainsburys or should I say lloyds”

“I stayed with them again this year because they were not the cheapest but hence offered the lowest excess and guaranteed like with like courtesy car. I have the premier cover with them which also offered car breakdown cover as well.”

“Claimed for a damaged bicycle. Intially offered replacement up to £2000 formally, then suddenly told there was a problem with the claim and only £1000 would be paid. Then asked for proof of damage and no further contact to date. Clearly a major failing internally , still without resolution. Buyer beware, Sainburys insurance underwriters have no affiliation to the brand and based on our experience have serious process and procedure assurance problems.”

“I had my car insurance there for over 3 years and I cancelled my policy as I found cheaper elsewhere. When I called up they were nothing but rude and 2 months later I had debt collection agency at my door with no previous letters saying i owed money. Sainsburys had sent all letters to my old address and then did nothing about it and I ended up paying over 1000 pound to a dept collection agency. Absolute disgrace.”

“The advertised representative APR is 3.5% and when I applied I was accepted on a 12.8% rate even though I have good credit. I'm also a long time Nectar card holder (and apparently Nectar car holders get the better rates). Absolutely appalling, and now I have a credit search on my file because of it. I won't be using Sainsury's or Sainsbury's bank again.”
