just been told that it may take up to 8 weeks before communication with my deceased wife can take place , letters will still be addressed to her until this time , also need death certificate !!!!

Sainsbury’s bank won’t provide credit cards to self employed people, regardless of their income or credit rating. Ridiculous rule that penalises people with mortgages, proof of earnings and good credit history, I was treated as unemployed by the bank - not self employed, credit card application refused outright

This bank is driving me insane. Suddenly and for the last few weeks, my credit card payments are rejected by the website. I go through the repetitive situation of putting all my full details in to their website and pay in full, only to get a sad face telling me it didn't go through. The worst part is when i call them, they are so incredibly casual about the whole thing and give you another form to pay with an app, which is even more repetitive. They don't even bother to state on the website that some customers are having an ongoing problem with paying and as is the standard message for weeks now, "they are working on it". That such a basic service isn't available to the customer is quite pathetic.

Terrible service with car insurance. Unable to contact them to cancel a renewal they put through automatically. Appalling.

Have been penalised £12 for late payment !!! because I paid the money early, a couple of days before statement came out! no leniency, no empathy nothing! Have to go to Ombudsman to get the £12.00 back. Which is going to cost Sainsburys more money! No loyalty and willing to lose me over £12. I would recommend to bank elsewhere. Should be no stars. Will let everyone know about the outcome.

Raised a section 75 request due to cancelled flights (Covid19) over 3 months ago. Several calls and messages later, and despite returning all evidence requested, Sainsbury’s bank still haven’t refunded money. Service is dreadful. No progress reports provided. It seems customer service is based upon giving the customer the runaround as much as possible. Do not use this company!

Trying to pay a credit card off it would be easier to knit fog. Been on hold for 50 minutes trying to give a code. I give up.

Awful customer service after an error on a direct debit. Just keep parroting company policy with no common sense. Making a formal complaint but was assured 'the outcome will be the same'. If it is I will be going to the ombudsman. Avoid.

Tried to submit a claim as I’ve not received my refund from virgin Atlantic. Over a week later and I still haven’t received any communication from Sainsburys. So far not impressed at all!!

Trying to change email address but no joy.Tried to resolve online but system just went round and round in circles so tried landline.. Told there was a wait of 4 to 5 minutes. Over an hour later still no answer. I had to ring off as had pressing matters to deal with.

Sainsbury's bank called and asked helping during the lockdown and current situation they can help during the lockdown and current nature. I said fine. Asked them hope this won't effect my credit score. But they said they are helping everyone and won't effect. only 2 months now. They put me on my credit file and its effecting my score reducing 200 points mean very good to poor. Do you think they are helping?

I raised Section 75 with Sainsbury's which they accepted then raised chargeback instead. They have my refund for flights but won't pay me unless I sign to say I have received it through S75 which is not correct. It's a chargeback. Tell me all sorts of nonsense. Communications awful. They've also messed up my credit card report, trying to say there was fraud on my existing card and forcing a new card on me. All this on-going since mid- March. Very upset, as by law I should have this money. We are elderly and this is making us ill. Terrible service.

Taking far too long to refund me under section 75 for cancelled flights by flight company due to Covid -19. My sons Visa debit card for a cancelled flight with another bank refunded him within 2 weeks. Why is it taking so long when everyone in the country knows flights have been cancelled for months. I sent all the proof requested

The bank changed my direct debit payment for my credit card from minimum amount to whole amount and didn't inform me. On the website still figures minimum amount. I call them and they refused to reimburse the difference. The website is not helpful and has terrible delay.

Declined my section 75 for a holiday I booked but couldn't take due a global pandemic. Apparently I didn't provide enough evidence!!! (Hello, GLOBAL PANDEMIC) Disgusting company. The letter was full of spelling mistakes and said they don't decide 'based on customer opinion' I provided evidence and it's not my opinion! Its fact.

My husband has a loan with Sainsbury's. We are experiencing financial problems due to a terrible 2 years and there was no compassion or support. We wrote to them on several occasions and tried to ring but calls get cut off. We are now in default and they have requested that we pay over £15,000 by June 10th!!! with the threat of a collection agency and court action. Thanks Sainsbury's for the added stress to a customer with serious health problems

Dreadful company - had a credit card called to set up direct debit they didn’t action it fell into a late payment made me set up an agreement to pay £200 per month and out defaults on my credit account. Complained and told get in with it so went to ombudsman who found in my favour, told to remove defaults Sainsbury’s are not - my credit score is falling every month! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, customer service or complaints team are shocking, now taking legal action maybe they will respond to a solicitor?!

Just taken out a Sainsbury’s credit card a couple of months ago, got an email regarding covid 19. I received an email on 9 may to tell me that I need to make a payment by 2nd June, today my neighbour gave me a letter that had been delivered to him by mistake my number is 32 his is 23. The letter Advised me that I had missed a payment and my promotion had been withdrawn and notifying me that I had incurred a £12 charge and interest on my balance, no notification that my first payment was due. Going to call tomorrow as they don’t work weekends I will be going to the ombudsman if they don’t sort this out then... avoid
