The curfew is nuts. Was out driving until 11:10pm, just 10 minutes past the curfew and my 'dangerous times' score dropped from 5 to 1. For my first 3 months I received a discount of around £25 per month, a whole £225 saving for the remainder of the year. My score was 5/5 at this point. Since then I have received no discount as co op only look for improvement on your previous score. My score has only dropped to 4/5, yet I'm still paying just shy of £2000 over the year for insurance. A company of money grabbers. I'm coming up for renewal soon and am convinced that your scores plummet the closer you get to renewing. I looked at my review panel which is telling me I was braking too late, so I tested it. I began to brake at pretty much twice the distance I would usually, angering the many motorists behind me. After doing so for around a week, my braking score had remained the same. I think it's safe to say I will not be renewing with co op. Regardless of the fact they seem cheaper at the start, I would spend the extra on a different insurance provider. You'll probably save money in the long run.

Had a letter from DVLA stating that car is not registered on the insurance data base so could receive a fine or car confiscated if stopped by the police have been stopped so now need to carry documents all the time rang co-op as policy was taken out 3 months ago but still waiting for it to be sorted out now escalating to formal complaint plus possible legal action as they are not being helpful just passing you off to different people.

If I could I would give them 0 stars. Ive been with this company for less than a month and I wish I never bothered. All they want is money, even after your agreement has been settled, not something a young driver really has. When you call them up to resolve issues they will tell you one thing and then send you emails saying different and then make you pay an admin fee. They've already asked for 3 admin fees from me. Honestly I've had bad companies but this is the worst by far. Will be sending them a formal complaint.

The only bad thing with the policy is that the black box you have installed will malfunction if you have a heated/anti-glare front windscreen. Apparently the GPS signal cannot always get through. Meaning I have been marked down on my driving because the box recorded a whopping 90mph on the M62! (I have never gone above 75mph). The staff that work there (in my experience) have all been pleasant and quick to resolve any issues. I have claimed on my windscreen as in winter my cars windscreen cracked, £50 later it was organised within the week. Please note- the claim hasn't increased my renewal premium. However, don't get sucked in by thinking you will earn lots of money back, because you wont. You will for your first month then wont after that. They constantly want improvement even when it is physically impossible- slight problem with the technology I believe. Young drivers dash board is good and interesting to use. I would recommend this company.

I got young drivers insurance from the co-op when I first passed my test. 1 month before my insurance was for renewal, my windscreen got chipped. Being a new driver, I contacted the co-op straight away and was told they would get one of their 'approved repairers' out ASAP. I asked whether this would affect my NCD (bearing in mind I had a full comp policy), I was told it wouldn't. A week or so later my insurance renewal came through and my premium had increased. When I phoned the co-op I was told the rise was because I had made a claim on my insurance and therefore had 0 years NCD! Needless to say I didn't renew my policy. My advice would be to STAY AWAY.

The staff have no idea on how to deal with Insurance. Nobody deals with your queries and you get told different stories. Nobody resolves your issues until you put formal complaints in. Also premiums go up and down every quarter depending how you drive. Can't budget for the year. Will not be renewing with them!!!!

Very easy to navigate your way around the young driver site to review how your driving is going. I like the fact if you drive well they knock down your insurance.

As a young insurance holder I felt they made it very difficult for me to get started. Customer service is very poor and every person you speak too tells you something different and in the end this nearly lead to my insurance being cancelled because they couldn't tell me what documents they had and hadn't received! I wouldn't buy with them again.
