I'm a technophobe and I needed assistance with multiple things. The website to book was easy. Communication was good. The technician was on time. (I love this!) I had 6 issues. 3 x sorted very quickly including good advice. 1 x mostly sorted. Needs a TP invite on an app which will be sorted by the end of the week. 1 x was not sorted, but was a complicated issue and we found an acceptable work around. 1 x issue was not sorted but this is an employer issue which I thought may be the case anyway. Technician Christopher based out of Pukekohe gave very useful advice that this self-confessed technophobe can work with. Thank you .

Delighted with our first booking with GOW. Vaughan was super knowledgeable, patient and friendly and solved several issues with our laptop. We will definitely use this service again.

Vaughan helped so much! He listened carefully while I explained what I needed (in my mangled, computer illiterate way), worked it all out then showed me how to do it! I am very happy with Geeks on Wheels - thank you Vaughan.

I had samila come to help me set up emails etc on laptop. He charged me $250 and nothing works. He also took a number of calls during his visit which is only annoying because the job turned out so bad. It is weird I spent $250 with you guys and it seems to be working worse than before. No files were added to email as he wanted to charge more. Very bad outcome but a funny story to tell

While the Technician didn't actually fix the problem with my printer not printing from the laptop he set up a work-around by leaving the AVG Secure VPN off. It will then print. This is probably the best solution although it doesn't explain why this has happened now when it previously worked perfectly. I can only assume that it could have been an update to the AVG software that caused it.

Hi Rona! It sounds like your AVG update probably turned on the VPN which made the printer stop. VPNs very commonly make printers stop working so you usually have to disable them when you want to print. VPN software actually makes the computer look like it's on a different network, so when a computer is connected to the home network with a VPN on, it won't recognize printers on the same network. We're glad to hear you're up and running again!

Your tecnician turned up when they said they would. Upon arrval they demonstrated immediately they understod the problem and set about fixing the problem(s) Within the allocated one hour fix the initial problem was fixed along with several others. Wouldn't hesitate to engage yourselves if issues arose again with my technology set up
