Hi Phil, sorry to hear you are still experiencing issues following the appointment. We understand that our Geek Hotline have been in contact and resolved your issue.

When I called to book the appointment I advised we would need testing equipment. The chap who arrived didn’t have any, used my laptop to test connections, then advised it was likely the wiring was no good and I should forget the household connection and go for a plug in mesh blanket device - that I would need 3. $299 for first one, $199 for second, and $99 for third. I ended up spending 4 hours checking each port in the house myself and getting it worked out. It now runs smoothly. I am annoyed that this joker thought he could just walk in and sell me a system I don’t need, didn’t come prepared and didn’t actually solve anything. I won’t be using this service again.

I have not been satisfied with Harry. When he first came he pressured me to purchase the computer despite me saying that I wished to discuss the purchase with my husband first. Harry's communication has been very poor. He has not given me very clear timeframes about the waiting times for the computer and also he did not tell me clearly when he rang last week that he would only be coming to pick up my computer to take back to the office to transfer my data over to the new computer. I have not been given very clear indications of the costs involved with the purchase of the new computer. Harry has also been very vague about the trade in of the old computer. He indicated that it would be about $200 to $250 but as he was walking out the door yesterday he said that it could only be $50 if there was a problem with the old computer. Due to this vagueness I will not be accepting less than $250 for a trade in! He also tried to pressure me into purchasing a monitor with once again a vague indication of the costs involved. I felt that he was more interested in me spending more money than giving me full and thorough information about what was involved. Overall I will not be recommending Geeks on Wheels due to all the miscommunication and lack of communication. I would expect a full disclosure of costs involved prior to signing any forms.

Technician took a very cursory look and pressured me into buying a new computer. Luckily I was able to change my mind but left out of pocket by $380. I'll spread the word.

Very disappointed in the whole experience, especially in the technician's verbal communication. I still haven't had a reply to an email and verbal requests for the return of a small overnight bag and lead that were lent at the technician's request for transporting the old laptop to the workshop. Appointments were changed.

John came as the problem I had was not resolved completely on his previous visit (connecting various hardware to an external speaker by bluetooth). He was able on a return visit to identify the problem which he said was a hardware issue and therefore I would have to pay. I did pay but remain unhappy with your service especially as, being a non technical person, the problem was not obvious to me and I had done all the things he told me to do. Also he was already in the street and it took about 10 minutes to identify and fix the problem. As a result I will not be using your services again after being a customer for many years, nor will I recommend you to others as I have done in the past. I would have thought that customer satisfaction would be more important to you than a few dollars.

GoW had my laptop for over a month but couldn’t get the part - technician kept saying it was ‘due next week’ every time I called. in the end when i got angry he finally admitted he didn’t have a delivery date for the part and couldn’t say when it would be fixed. in the end i got no repair and effectively had to pay for them to take my laptop apart and put it back together (and back it up). Grrr! Not happy

On Friday October 18 a visiting Geek promised me an offer for the repair of a cracked screen on a MacBook Air. My insurance company is waiting for this information. I have reminded you twice but not yet (201910231130) got your quote.

I am sensationally upset. I made quite clear on the initial engagement that we had a locked Apple Id, after talking to Apple support about this, I rang Geeks for a second time to again confirm that we were dealing with a locked Apple Id. Before Mannie's visit my daughter had a working iPhone, Mannie did an iTunes factory reset of the iPhone which is now no longer working, BECAUSE, GUESS WHAT, it has a locked Apple Id. After having to pay GoW $253 to render a working iPhone useless, I now have to buy my daughter a new iPhone because Apple won't unlock the Apple Id for all the reasons explained to GoW TWICE! before and to Mannie during the visit. If you think I am upset, you should give my wife a call.

Problem not fixed. Tech didn't know anything about my issue even though I had explained it in depth to the person I booked the appointment with. Now it's worse! Would like Kodie Murray to contact me after 3.30pm to discuss and hopefully sort this!
