Two men came to my door got all my personal info told me they'd be back in 15/20 minutes an never saw them again...it's been over a week an although I was approved I never got the phone an on top of that the company has since fired this particular person....scam scam scam

Absolute garbage phone service, I know this because I used to be an agent for them. You are trained to lie about the phone's quality and how much data the customer receives a month. They say it's 7 gigs but it's really 2. Customer service is a JOKE. As an agent, I constantly had to call them about their garbage phones not working for customers and it's the same three overseas employees every time. As a customer who qualified for a free phone, these phones were a joke and would straight up not receive phone calls and texts most of the time. Terrible all around, and I can't wait for the day this company is exposed and sued into dirt for taking advantage of poor people.

I went to a Gen mobile tent in downtown Jacksonville, FL, right by the DMV office. There was a guy named Jeffery and James helping me sign up for the phone that I wanted but was not able to get because it was so late in the day. The last piece of information that I needed was a W2 which was easy to get but I needed it sent from my employer. The process was taking a while and Jeffery seemed to be getting frustrated. There are a lot of people in town that know my family and wanted a phone there. Jeffery seemed to want to make friends with them by listening to them, letting them tell him what to say as well as making smart remarks to sign people up. As I was walking away I heard Jeffery make racist remarks as well as slander my name. His words as far as slander were, "Get out of here and go rape babies...". This was disheartening seeing as how our conversation started off as a pleasant one. James seemed to be level-headed and calm the whole time as he stood while Jeffery sat in a chair in the shade under the tent they were at.

They are the worst when it comes to customer service you get people that are overseas that you can't even understand they have you do unnecessary things to try to update your phone and then when you turn around and request a supervisor you're on hold forever they really need to improve their services they also gave me a phone that's defective and now that T-Mobile had their outage I'm having issues with my phone and it requested numerous times for a call back or an email so I can't even make calls or receive calls they seem to ignore you that is poor customer service

On Dec. 14, 2022, I had a reg. and a Gov. cell phone, and, on this day, they both went out of service. Later this day, I went to get a GenMobile cell phone which I thought would have cancelled out the other Gov. cell phone as I was told I qualified for a new cell phone and tablet, for which I pd. $60.00 cash, as I was not told such when purchased that this phone did not come with an adapter, which I then had to purchase costing $18.58 at Walmart. On Dec. 25, 2022, the GenMobile services were then disconnected as I am told the service I had was through the Lifeline Program, and how I could not have 2 services at the same time, through the Affordable Cares Program. The Agent that sold me the phone, gave me her name and phone number, saying that I could call if I had any questions, and every time called, it has a recording saying this number is not available and the mailbox is full. I have contacted GenMobile requesting a refund and was denied stating, they do not do refunds and how I need to contact the Agent, and they were not able to give me any additional contact information for the Agent. I now see there are many negative reviews and complaints about GenMobile and their services as this agent did say they have been active in MO since Sept. 2022. Today, I made 4-phone calls to GenMobile requesting a refund and 3-times the phone was disconnected after I was put on hold after requesting a refund. I am requesting a refund in full and a thorough investigation into this matter and perhaps should consider a possible class action lawsuit.

I bought a phone through Genmobile several years ago. This past summer, with no notice to me they cancelled my account. When I tried to renew they sent a new SIM, which would not work (invalid sim). We found that though Genmobile provided the phone when I opened my account, the phone was locked for use with a Sprint sim only. Called Sprint as Genmobile directed, and was told they could not verify ownership of the phone and therefore could not unlock it. So, the phone is basically a brick. After several hours of talking to Gen and Sprint, Genmobile refused to take any responsibility for the error or assist in any meaningful way, as the tech's "supervisor" would not even take the time to discuss the issue with me. I cancelled the account and went elsewhere. When I had the account and it worked the service was spotty, with a lot of dead zones in rural areas.

I think Gen Mobile is fake Company! The Internet or Cellular data l have on my phone (account) , even when I’m not using data or it’s off steel they charge me! Data usage no matter what is going up!

Worst service provider yet, the phone they send is so cheap and outdated it only gets 3g service. And the data is super slow from day 1. Very very disappointed

I had my gen mobile home for sometime I called a lot of times to get a new phone because the phone DON'T KEEP A CHARGE I can plug this phone up to 100 percent in 45 minutes it's dead this is a very cheap phone I ask them to send me a new phone they want me to send this phone before they can send a new one so I'm going to be without a phone for 2 weeks so I said forget it I'm reporting them they are awful I am not recommending them to no One not even my worst enemy.

I was approved on dec 9, 2022 ( today's date is Dec 17, 2022) & still have not been able to speak with one single person from GEN MOBILE to inquire why I have not yet received my phone that they offered when I applied through the AFFORDABLE CONNECTIVITY PROGRAM I keep getting the run around with different numbers to call & then I receive a message stating that my phone had already been shipped by UPS so I just called UPS with the tracking number they sent me & UPS tells me that it was delivered by our local US POSTAL SERVICE on Dec 9, 2022!!?? This whole deal is starting to feel like a definite SCAM I will report this the FTC first thing Monday morning !

Worst customer service ever called riven 4 times been hung up on by then every time ask me for An access code which I've never heard of before I ask them the last 4 of my social that's when now they can't hear me all the sudden great service guys seriously on your 611 calls you cant hear me and the call is so far garbled that I. Can't you either this all started when I got a stupid tablet from I guess another ACP provider then you cut my service off my phone then you tell me just wait until dec1st ok I wait now my service is off on my tablet Jesus Christ could someone please just help me get this straightened out out

They didn't text me that my bill needed to be paid, so I missed the renewal date. I paid the bill 25 hours after my service went out, and I was told I couldn't keep the # I had been using for nearly two years. Every other service provider I have used will disconnect the service and give you at least a few days before fully deactivating your #. Other than that they are fine.

I purchased this phone in front of fresh groceries and I got the phone for my grandson who’s 9 all he kept saying after a only having the phone for a week they charged me $50 with my id supposed have been phone for low income people that’s normally free so that should have been a sign but now the phone cut off called and went on this website with the mobile number that was giving it says no account for that number scammers stole my money now no phone for my grandson and called nobody to take my call

I've called twice because my phone will not ring an takes forever to connect my call I have serious health conditions an I need my phone to work an they will not do anything they say we will write a ticket report an call you back both times NO !!! Call back

Phone was originally shipped with wrong area code which took hours with customer service to fix. Then the initial set up was done incorrectly so the phone cannot use Wi-Fi calling. More hours with customer service. I finally decided to cancel my service entirely. Do yourself a favor, avoid GenMobile.

On August 2nd, 2022 I encountered a few guys in my local Walmart that offered phone services through Gen Mobile. They offered free phones as well as feature improved phone for an additional fee. I upgraded the phone option and paid the fee to have enhanced quality. After I got home and decided to activate and transfer my current phone number to the new phone service, I contacted the customer service for assistance. The representative attempted to assist me, but when she sent the command to port the number the phone was immediately disconnected and has not begun working again. I have contacted customer service upwards of 30 times since, to no avail. No one has been able to rectify this matter. I have been told several times that the matter has been escalated and sent to the tech department, the supervisor ect. and not once have I received a call back. I would really like have the situation corrected, but I am also willing to just get a refund for the purchase if a solution cannot be met.
