Very disappointed with poor service. Had great intensions on purchasing a ukulele for my daughter and browsed in store. Finally agreed with her on one and she was very excited, however when taking the ukulele to the checkout I was told the price tag was advertised lower than they could sell it for. The instrument brand and model was labled correctly, but the price wrong. A mistake on there part, in which I didn't get an apology for. They did offer it at a slightly lower cost, however even still wasn't within my budget. I returned shortly after and purchased a different one, as i didnt want her to be upset. I asked if they could possibly price match to UK sellers online because of there mistake, yet refused todo so. Most places choose to honour price faults, but not giggear. Do feel like the old staff prior to the new ones we're much more helpful and friendly also.

bad email customer support, sent classical guitar for a refret and I asked if I could have low action, got the guitar back with medium action (as admitted by email support person, who is different from luthier) and checked fret levelling with my tools, the frets weren't level, and when I expressed my dissatisfaction the email "support" tried to blame me for being picky although the luthier rectified everything. I was told things like "Mmmh. I really don't understand, everyboady else loves this service", the implication being that if you don't "love" it, even though your view might be based on facts, that there's something wrong with you, not them. This is NOT a negative review about the luthier, like I wrote he rectified everything and in the end did a perfect job. The same cannot be said of the person I communicated with. Will avoid in the future.

Very bad experience with them. Bought myself a B-Stock 700€ electric guitar, by Schecter. These are supposedly in perfect state and have merely been returned by a different customer. After less than a year of home usage it's needed so far: - 2 different replacemente pieces: new saddles and new nut. - 1 visit to a luthier, cause the electronics deteriorated fast and bridge pickups ceased to produce output. The purchase process was also messy as heck: I live in Spain and they forgot to send the tremolo bar alongside the guitar, so I had to pay an extra shipping fee for the item they forgot about. On top of that, before buying it I made a call and one of their employees assured to me that there would be no shipping issues whatsoever and he "strongly doubted" I would have any problems with the guitar, as it was a top quality model: Schecter SS PT FR-S.

Bought a Violin for my 7 year old daughters birthday, with the advice of the sales guy on size and make we bought a 3/4, unfortunately it proved to be too big for my daughter as advised by her teacher, the teacher said she needs a 1/2 size and that the advise from the sales guy was incorrect. The owner offered 1/3 of the price we paid in it’s original condition, we did did not accept. I took the violin to Derosa Music Bishops Stortford who was more than happy to trade with the correct size and no money changing hands, the same make and in better condition than the one we purchased from the rip-off merchant at GigGear. I would definitely advise shopping around as this guy is a rip-off. This is the mentality of a business man who is willing to rip-off an 7 year old’s birthday gift! Beware..
