“I have used them for my last 3 pairs over a period of 5 years. Second and Third were Varifocals. I was not comfortable with the Second Pair, marked my center of eyes and several points. They change the Lenses without any questions asked to match the markings. On my third pair, one of the Nose Bridges came off after almost a year. I sent and added my Eye markings. The were a few millimeter out. They made a complete new set free of charge. And this was a Designer Frame with Transition and Varifocal.”

“Well I have to give credit where credit is due! I was quite surprised to find all these negative reviews here - maybe it's the case that someone is more likely to complain, than they are to give a compliment. But my service has been excellent so far. I had 4 trial pairs, with free flrefundable postage. Out of which1 was great, so I did the BOGOF offer with 40% off, ended up paying around £50 quid for 2 pairs of glasses woth a prescription. Bargain! They sent me messages all through the purchase process, and the prescriptions I ordered came within 3 days. The glasses feel as strong as any sub £120 frames I would buy from specasavers etc, I mean maybe they will fall apart but I've been wearing them for a few days and they seem good quality! So here we are, my 5 star review which is apparently different to everyone else's experiences!”

“Service was amazingly fast. Glasses ordered on Easter Sunday evening, yet delivered within 5 days, bank holiday included. There were regular emails giving the progress of my order. They were delivered by Royal Mail on a one day delivery turn around. The cost was very reasonable. Service has been excellent. It’s my first time ordering from an online service and I am converted.”

“Excellent website. You can order your favourite frames and have them delivered to you to try for a week. You then send in your prescription details and place your order. You are sent updates every step of the way which is so useful. The delivery of my finished glasses was swift and efficient. My glasses were Rayban varifocals. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this company to anyone wanting reliable and efficient customer service together with excellent value for money. I love my new glasses.”

“I went to my usual high street opticians to purchase a new pair of glasses as my lenses were badly scratched, I was dreading the usual £350+ bill. However I decided to give glassesdirect a go! Thankfully I did, service was amazing....customer care outstanding. I received two calls from one of there opticians in relation to my order prior to them being manufactured. They arrived today and are unbelievable!!! Quality is fab and the lenses absolutely perfect!!!! From now on I will never visit the high street opticians again. Oh and the other thing....they were less than half the price of my usual opticians and included the top spec varifocal lenses with coatings. Thank you glassesdirect, you have a new loyal customer. “Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Free home trial arrived next day, ordered 2 pairs with a great price on thin lenses, they arrived 5 days later. Perfect and was very impressed with the call I got from an optician to check my details. You don’t get that from other online glasses retailers, tried one before this that id seen in the Metro and they were aweful. Well done glasses direct, have already told all my family to try you out!”

“I’ve purchased about ten pairs over the years. The current pair have lasted 5 years and I’m only replacing them because of a slightly updated prescription. I’ve ordered some Ray-Bans and with extra thin lenses and tints they were only 160£. Look brilliant and didn’t take too long either.”

“i was extremely reluctant to order from glasses direct after seeing all of the poor reviews on here HOWEVER i got an email saying they was in the lab a day after ordering, an email saying they’d been sent out the day after that and then they actually arrived on day 3! i’m over the moon with my glasses (everly- shiny silver). i don’t believe i’ve ever left a review for anything before but i’m so impressed i had to!”

“I have just received my two pairs of glasses that I paid £28 for; one for reading; just a standard lens and one for computer work with anti-reflection. I am absolutely delighted with them; they are really nice glasses and I ordered them last Sunday and received them today, Friday. Outstanding service and an affordable price, considering the day before I had paid £189 (although verifocals) elsewhere.”

“I have ordered at least 8 pairs of glasses recently, as I have a puppy that keeps eating them. My last order in December I wrote the prescription wrong on the form a - instead of a +. I was able to return them and received new pairs at no extra cost for an error that was my fault. That is excellent service and as always happy with the glasses”

“Excellent. I had a complicated prescription and varifocals and bifocals. They were accommodating, gave me a good price and swift delivery. I changed my mind after wearing the glasses for a couple of weeks and they were collaborative on the phone to get a tweak to the design and prescription. The glasses were swapped without issues. This is top notch service and that I why this is probably the 7th year I have bought from Glasses Direct.”
