As soon as i spoke to green flag about using the mayday recovery service (as my car had failed on holiday in the lake district) i was impressed with their service from then on,down to the very last minute i was updated by them about their time of arrival. They arrived within a 1 hour window of when they said would 2 days earlier. I was very happy with their professional service ! Frank garvey

I got a puncture on M25. Green flag answered my phone call promptly and arrange a recovery vehicle which arrived before the stated timeline. Green flag messaged a few time with updates. Between them and the recover company we were soon back on our way.

Without doubt the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Technician improperly reassembled the under tray of my car after a call out leading to much worse problems and an extremely dangerous drive on the motorway as the underneath of my car fell and dragged across the road at 70mph. I then had to make the car safe myself as they refused to come out and fix the car to make it safe for me to use because the person dealing with my complaint was busy. Even had the company angrily suggest I should call out the sub contractor they used to sort the issue myself! Several calls and email later and still no sign of apology or compensation. Their actions would be laughably bad if they weren’t so dangerous and costly. Avoid at all costs. They are cheaper than the rest for a reason.

I was very happy with the customer service provided by the technician called Dale I had a flat tyre on Acklam rd Thornaby-on-Tees, he was vey good at keeping me informed before he arrived ,a very pleasant lad , he was very organised , and efficient , arrived exactly when he said he would , I was very pleased with the service 10 out of 10

Approximately 5 years with Green Flag and never made a single call out or missed any payments. As soon as you cancel your policy they are hounding you for a cancellation fee. Horrible customer service and a horrible money grabbing company, I am well rid and I would stay away, plenty of better options. I'd recommend you pay a bit more for a better company

Responded straight away especially after I mentioned I had a disabled passenger with me. I big THANK YOU to Dan - an extremely kind and helpful young man. May 27th 2024.in Tesco York. He rescued me after I was given false information by a lady mechanic in another petrol station.Please convey my thanks to him. Green Flag should be proud of this employee. I hope he is valued. Dan will go far and I wish him all the best in his career.

Don't bother. I've bought breakdown cover for my trip abroad 3 days before departure. After money was paid I've received email that it will take 7-10 days before they can provide me with the policy documentation. Not only they cant send documentation by email and insist on post, but also the processing time is absolutely unacceptable. As you can imagine my policy arrived when in post when i was abroad already and trip was almost over. Now they refuse to refund for the policy and claim it was in place when the trip started. 0 stars would be too much. Case goes to Ombudsman for escalation as this is absolutely unacceptable.

My policy was about to auto renew and the premium had shot up from £94 to £108.00 despite not making any claim whatsoever. I decided to shop around and found equal cover elsewhere with one of the two major breakdown companies for £78. I then called Green Flag, and told them to cancel the auto renew. They then offered to do the policy for £94! Had they not been so greedy in the first place I would more than likely have allowed the auto renew to take place. Their loss! My gain!

Had a drive shaft go when I was on a 60 mph road, and they refused to attend because it 'may' have been due to a pothole. Cancelled my service with them the next day, will not stay with a company that literally don't do breakdown rescue. Also the app is terrible, always logs out so when I needed it I had to go through so many steps for it to just tell me to ring. And the call starting audio tells you to use the app... You can't make it up, they just don't want to pick anyone up! Disgusting!

Absolutely rubbish service, from being mis-sold a policy the I have to pay £40 per call out to a poor mechanic who turned up without the tools required, he even told me the spark tool was a specialised item, which I Iater brought at Halfords. His company then wanted £138 to replace the faulty spark plug......... I purchased the spark plug socket and 3 spark plugs for £40 and replaced all 3 spark plugs in about 30 minutes. Green Flag are a rip off.

Have been mis-sold what I've now been told is an excess policy, whereby I have to pay £40 every time I need them to come and mend my broken down car. Never told me this when it was being renewed. Complete scam.

I wouldn't use them again they don't send out a technician expect you to diagnos your problem yourself &,send out a breakdown recovery & you have to pay for it never been so dissatisfied with a car rescue company

I just want thank Green Flag for their very prompt service today , I had a call back within minutes to see if I could sort the issue out by one of the technicians taking me through how to fix the problem, couldn’t be resolved so advised would send someone out , text message came through straight away advising will be by 16.05 came at 14.43 . Problem resolved in minutes. Craig the mechanic was very friendly and helpful, it was such a small problem but that did seem to matter 😀 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ thank you

Green Flag USED to be an excellemt company. Aproximately 10 years ago after I forgot to renew and then called them for help; they agreed to help if I renewed over the phone which I did and they came. I was delighted. Until this morning I gave them 30 yrs of business. Early today I had a puncture and after calling they said the policy doesn't exist. After checking my renewal docs from August 2023 it was agreed that they had attempted to collect the renewal fee automatically but couldn't due to card details changing. They said they wrote to me but had I received their letter I would have instantly dealt with it. This is the painful bit.....I offered to settle here and now and then they could come, but this was denied me - even if I renewed on the telephone they'd charge £150 for coming. If anyone in management is reading this I'd be happy to talk, I feel I've been dumped for no good reason and they would have continued receiving my business indefinitely had they behaved considerately. Very poor service car was recovered by third party company who Green flag employ and was damaged taking to the dealership. Green flag then create issues with their procedure on accountability no hire car and me left transport while they look into things …joke utter joke

My partners policy was due for renewal so she rang up to renew it and was met with a barrage of weird questions nothing to do with break down cover , her phone was on loudspeaker so I heard what the operator was saying ,I told her to put the phone down Strange people
