I bought 2 vouchers on Groupon for a European holiday. I first spoke to the merchant supplying the holiday to confirm dates and availability (this was advised by Groupon customer care as I was traveling with an infant and they were not sure of costs involved). After the purchase was made I called back and was told I needed to pay additional amounts of money for the 2 vouchers to secure the trip. What is the point of purchasing a Groupon voucher then? A waste of my afternoon and I strongly recommend you just book elsewhere.

I was looking for concerts in Orlando, saw a good one and purchased. I immediately noticed it was not in Orlando even though I was on the Orlando page and hit refund. I was told I could not receive a refund. Why would they advertise an event on the wrong city page! This is the second issue I have had with Groupon refunds. Worst customer service ever.

Groupon double charged me and then refused to refund my account. The live chat rep Jayashree B was the only person that I could talk to and she repeated there was nothing she could do to help. I used to use Groupon all the time, but I will not anymore. T

You can’t leave a review without it being vetted so how can you let others know of your negative experience if it’s vetted by Groupon. People need to know what to avoid as well as the good.

I ordered headphones last night and got a confirmation email for my order. Upon waking this morning, I found another email that said my order had been cancelled because my payment information was incorrect, which it wasn't. When I went to their website to try and re-order the headphones, they were out of stock.

I have clicked and clicked and clicked and even clicked again. How do you get to live chat? No matter what I click, I cannot get access to the deal for which I just paid. This should be a click or 2...done.

After purchasing 3 memory foam mattresses online from Groupon for £210, I received more a week and when I contacted them about the other two I was told that they can give credit of £46 for the two and there is nothing else they can do. I am so distraught I feel like crying, why these large companies must always seek to rob working people. They don't even care, I keep calling and they either cut me off or just put me on hold for a long indefinitely. I will sue if I have to pay for this phone call, I have been holding for over 20 minutes now. So they gave me an email address to send my issues to which I did and received an automated response that they will get back to me within 24 hours. After 3 days or more I am still waiting, but I got a response to a previous email I sent to Groupon that they can now offer me £20. They finally contacted me and offered me £140 credit which I used plus £60 to re-purchase the missing items. The were not out delivery until 19th when I threatened that I want all of my £200, I received them on 23rd April. The delivery was another terrible experience.

I contacted customer service to advise me on rearranging my groupon voucher reservation - followed their instructions, cancelled my booking in order to rearrange. Then the customer service guy tells me oh you can’t rearrange you’re booking because the voucher has expired and because it’s you’ve cancelled it there is nothing we can do for you! Despite me explaining this is what they asked me to do, they would not take responsibility and were very unhelpful. Both individuals on live chat and on the phone were extremely rude and I found them to be unprofessional. There is no common courtesy and manners from customer service at groupon. In today’s world they were horrific to deal with.

Groupon's customer services is a complete joke..Honestly the worst I have ever experienced. The discounts are not worth it for the amount of stress they cause their customers.. If you are interested Group on: the reference is 58738865. All the conversations will be logged here.. The only Customer care representative who has been even the slightest bit helpful is Francel.. The rest need sacking!! truly shocking!!!

The story of my last 15 months of dealing with Groupon. In December 2016 my account, along with many others, was hacked and items were fraudulently bought using it; however, all the money that went from my bank account was reimbursed. In about March 2017 I tried to use my Groupon account again to buy something else and it failed due to unknown reasons with the same failures happening twice on different purchases in October 2017. I reported these failures to Groupon on each occasion and told them that there was something wrong with my account (probably as a result of security measures they put in place on my account after the hack); but every time they ignored me, said there was nothing wrong with my account and I should just try again later. In October I decided enough was enough and told Groupon that if it failed one more time then that was that and I wanted out. In March 2018 I tried to make another purchased and it failed due to the same unknown reason again. I wrote to Groupon and said that either I wanted the credit I have on my account (about £25) sent to me directly, or I want goods to its value sent to me; and I want my account deleted. Groupon claim they are unable to do this and I have received this reply to my request: "As much as I understand your situation I am afraid that in request to your monetary compensation I cannot comply. Groupon can only refund the price of an order and provide a gesture of goodwill in the form of Groupon credit. I am sorry for the inconvenience, however we do not have the facility to place orders on behalf of our customers, so we will unfortunately be unable to send you the plant." (The 'plant' is the goods I wanted to buy in March.) I do not find this acceptable as there is no guarantee that if I open a new account the same failures won’t happen again because the security measures may be linked to my name and not which account I am using, if this happens I’ll be back to where I am now. I am writing this as a warning to those that use Groupon: if anything goes wrong then their customer services are next to useless; and even if they eventually admit liability you won't be able to extract any money you have with them in a useful form.

We stayed at the Rudloe Arms Hotel near Bath. The site gave the impression that the rooms were all in the main building, they were not. Even though the room was good it was an open air walk in the rain for breakfast and dinner which we weren't prepared for. The menu was very limited and not quite what you'd expect from Mr Pierre White who was in attendance ( although not cooking) Only coffee in the rooms which neither of us are fond of and no telephone in the room to contact reception ( another couple of walks in the rain)

Note-- this is my first negative review of a company.. BEWARE!! Just a warning to even those of you that think it's great now. like I had once upon a time: 1. The customer satisfaction pledge is false (which is the reason I felt confident about purchasing a trip from the site.. I purchased a trip from a very shady company who did not respond to my efforts to contact and was not as it was advertised. I contacted Groupon 2 days after the purchase for the trip 7 months away, confident that the satisfaction pledge would stand up. No. 2.The customer service is the worst I'd ever seen.. ever. You can only communicate through email, and you only get a canned response (from what I assume is an offshore vendor) is canned and ridiculously irrelevant to your inquiry. There is no phone number, no escalation path- well except for the attorney general, which is now my new path. 3.The Ebates link that advertises cash back.. does not give you cash back, even if it's on the trip you clicked on. The promise of getting cash back is also false. As verified by Ebates. I had used Groupon for years for local purchases, but will never again. This is the worst experience that I've had with any company of it's size. How can it still be operating?

We were given a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens as a Christmas present, which had to be used towards the end of April. We tried to book at the end of March, but there were no dates available before the voucher expired and we were unable to get through to Groupon by phone. We rang the Botanical Gardens and eventually spoke to a man called Daniel who was helpful and said he would extend the voucher if needed and help us if we could not sort the voucher out with Groupon. On 3rd April I rang Groupon and finally getting through spoke to a lady who said they would give us the money back but only if she could contact the person who gave us the voucher as a Christmas present - this I felt was unacceptable as it was a present. I emailed the Botanical Gardens as they had offered to extend the voucher and I thought they might be concerned that Groupon was offering us the money back (they would lose income and bad customer experience). I have not heard from Botanical Gardens since my email to them on 3rd April. The customer service has not been good by either party and I would like this resolved asap thank you Jill Griffin.

I had bought a few items on groupon, please look at the fine print. Also they have expiration dates too. I will NOT ever use Groupon again. It is better to buy the product you need with the actual retailer or services needed than groupon. We had 3 massage certificates and never able to use them.
