Paid £399 for a 18k white gold wedding ring on 03/11/2022 and £3.99 monthly for premier care plus. Went in today to get it re-rhodium plated only to realise they put the e-receipt date wrongly (11/03/2021 instead of 03/11/2022) so they said its no longer within 12 months cover and tried to charge me £39 to get it re-plated. Definitely don’t recommend getting anything from them and definitely not worth getting the premier care plus plan!

She screamed abuse at my mother and father who are pensioners who asked for a refund on a necklace that had broken, only bought it 2 months ago. Straight away the manager took it from her, put her pliers to it breaking it even more then accused my mother of intentionally breaking it. She then said 'just give them a refund if they're not paying for it to be fixed. Then as my mother paid by apple pay, the manager refused to refund and said 'I don't need to talk to you anymore.' As i left with my mother I heard the manager laugh and shout 'As if I've got time for that, I've got my own F**king life to live. Jog on' then she laughed. My mother went back the next day with proof from barclays of payment and the card it came from. When my mother went to the store the manager was an hour late then said 'oh I'm not dealing with you now' the other assistant said 'come back in abit' so my mother did. Then when she walked back in 20 minutes later the manager started screaming and shouting abuse telling her 'I've spoken to the owner and he said not to refund you'. My mother feeling scared asked her why was she shouting as my mother and father had not raised their voices at all, and the manager continued to be very aggressive and again shouting high pitch at my mother. When my mother asked for the managers name to make a complaint the manager shouted 'no im not giving you my name ' and walked off. So my very shaking mother and father asked the assistant 'can you be my witness to all the abuse and shouting the manager did', and the assistant called Val just said 'oh I'm not getting involved' and walked off. How can a manager claiming to have been a manager for 20 years speak to customers like that. Absolutely awful! My mother is so shaken up. Shame on H.Samuel for hiring such a nasty woman!

Bought a solid gold £130+ necklace worn twice and snapped (rope chain so should be strong!) very unhelpful and rude when I went back to the store the enquire what they would do… turns out nothing!!

Bought earrings for the wife’s birthday . Not advised about the No exchange policy on pierced items and the earrings not put in a sealed bag. Unfortunately we now have a pair of earrings that the wife doesn’t like but can’t return.

2 tone Wedding band gold part came away from silver part. They said its down to age. We have been married 10 years, so don't expect a wedding band to last from this cheap highstreet reatailer. Very bad and unhelpful service from them

I took in a ring for a small repair and waited several weeks for a quote. No response to my emails so rang the store who said it had just come in. The quote was for £702 (ring cost £300) I declined repair, took it to another reputable jewellers who fixed it for £15. Although I contacted H Samuel to question their extortionate quote they tried to justify it and curtly made it clear that a customer is under no obligation to use them. So, my advice is DO NOT.

I ordered a ring on the store. After 4 days they called and said that the ring is not available you can come and get refund or buy anyother ring.

Had a wedding and engagement ring for Xmas 2020. Lost 2 stones 1st repaired free the 2nd one now costing 94 pound. I sit at a desk all day so it's not getting rubbed or anything so must be a defect in the ring. How many more are going to come out ?? Not happy. It was not a cheap ring.

I would never step into a H.Samuel store again. After deciding to purchase my wife a special gift for her birthday, I visited the local store, After viewing the area where the gift I wanted was on show, a young customer advisor appeared, I expressed an interest into a lovely necklace I had seen and requested if I could view it. Now I hadn’t gone in dressed in a 3 piece suit, but fairly smart, so when he spoke to me in the way he did I was taken back and the look from the other staff was belittling and questioned my affordability of such item and the actions to ensure the tray of goods was protected suggested that I was likely to run off with without paying, this shocked me somewhat and if it hadn’t been for the fact I really thought the necklace was “the one” I would have left, but was determined to buy it. Now I must stress this item was not mega money, but into days climate, the item was expensive and a item I would buy on a special occasion only and was quite proud of my choice and could vision my wife’s smile when she opened it!. So the advisor took me to the till to pay for it, we went through the usual questions, insurance, how are you paying etc, I paid and then he disappeared, only to return with a box which was no bigger than a match box and proceeded to stuff this beautiful gift in, I asked him “what are you doing” his response,”we don’t have any bigger boxes so this will have to do” I proceeded to explain that I had had just spent a lot of money on a gift and expected it to be presented in the correct box, his response “do you want it or not”.I was in total disbelief, in my eagerness to not to be in the shop any further, I took the gift and left with no further words spoken, I was fuming, I have never felt so unwelcome and belittled in a shop, H.Samuels you should be ashamed

Avoid like the plauge. Lied about attempting to deliver after I was in all day, they then won't refund until the delivery company deliver back to them. TERRIBLE

I purchased a bracelet HSamuel in Derby Intu paid £200 for i then asked the girl who served me @ least 4times was the bracelet real gold which she replied each time yes. I have other bracelets on which is real gold check the bracelet out which i brought from shop in Derby and to find out it's fake why would i buy a fake bracelet to wear with my real gold ones 🤔 not very happy about this i was missed informed i will never never never buy anything from HSamuel's ever again. When to the shop spoke to someone who said he was the manager about this who just looked at me as if i wasn't even there and blaintanly said he cannot help me which made me felt very uncomfortable i left feeling angry confused and upset 🙃

The customer service at both Uxbridge/Hounslow branches has been of absolute perfection: impeccably flawless and immaculate to the very highest degree! All the members of staff all offer/are nothing but absolute perfection! You have gone beyond/the extra mile to ensure that standards of professional quality, etiquette, competency and serious business formality are of perfect standards! My experience has been a perfect success! The members of staff are extremely friendly, professional, proficient, knowledgable, friendly, welcoming and positive! Words such as: ''competent'', ''excellent;'', ''outstanding'', ''exceptional'', ''brilliant'', ''fantastic'' are not good enough! To describe the members at ''H.Samuel'' and their service: ''absolutely perfect, impeccably flawless and immaculate to the very highest degree!'' I bought an eternity ring for my partner and after two years three of the stones fell out. Was told by the most unhelpful supervisor at the Edinburgh branch that because it's been such a long time it was not under warranty. You would think buying a £900 ring it would last longer than two years. Utter rubbish stay well clear . Try to call themselves jewellers more like market stall traders. Absolute disgrace they get away with this time after time.

New application of smule not accepted pl pl give us back old one .most of my friend's are disagreed with this it's totally different and rubbish got trouble..oterwise including my hunters of friends will wsich to anoter singing apps🙏😔

Personally would never shop there again. Put a ring in for resizing, they said there was a problem. I asked for them to return it and when I got it back, the stone had fallen out. No compensation. Rude staff. Never again!

Do not use these people paid £900 for a ring for the diamond to fall out within 6 months , had to pay for repair as they said it wasn't a fault ....now 2 diamonds fell out ...and yet again not a fault a over a £300 charge ....there jewelery is a disgrace...il see you in the small claims court !

Ordered a watch online, only a few left after 3 phone calls to them just been advised that they are sold out of the watch I wanted. This was caused by a branch not sending me the watch, they had in stock at the time. Never would I buy online from them again.

My advice would be to never shop online with this retailer! Their customer service is horrendous, their response times are poor and if you do not receive an item they will not investigate properly and make you liable for good you have not received and charge you. I can honestly say I am shocked and this is one of the poorest customer experiences I have ever had and will never be shopping with H. Samuel again. Before Christmas I received one of two items, which I was very happy with the item I did receive. The items were being sent separately, but there was no tracking number with the item that was not received, so I thought with it being Christmas that there might be a delay, so gave it a few days. When nothing arrived I contacted them on the 22nd December and have constantly contacted the since this date stating the item had not been received at our property on the date they are stating. Throughout my contact I have had, each of my requests have been asking for them to look into it and investigation that the item was never received. My last response, which took three days was that the item had been delivered to the street I live on, but they cannot state which house it was delivered to, so that is as much as they can do and it is out of the investigation time and will still have to charge for the item!? I would like to know how the above works? I did not sign for the item or receive the goods to my home nor my did my neighbours take it for me, I was not responsible for sending the item, I have requested it is looked into after less than a week of the goods not being received, yet I am told my complaint of not receiving my goods cannot be taken any further? I am not sure how that all works and you make the customer liable? I would like it look into fully and either a replacement or a refund of the item not received, as a customer I do not feel this is too much to ask!
