We have a voucher for a £10 MOT at the Inverness branch. Is this a bargain or will they use this as an opportunity to be hyper picky, fail the car and land us with a large bill?

Car was meant to have a service at 12 didn't go in till 3 so went for a walk because they said I will be an hour got to the bottom of the road and they phoned me saying it's done and charged me £120 for less than 20minutes work!!

Halfords rendered my car useless. I'd driven the car there OK. However after it had been on their ramp for some time I had to hire a removal truck to tow it away from the autocentre. I have mobility problems and depend on my car so had to take cabs, get the car fixed by a mechanic I know etc. This has resulted in me being out-of-pocket by £150. I have complained to their customer "services" twice but they deny responsibility for anything. I am not satisfied with this. Where should I refer the matter?

Trading standards. Everyone needs to complain to them, and they can build up a case

YES the harrow branch failed my car on breaks had my mechanic look at it said they were fine took it to a local garage he recommended it passed.

Took my car to Newport Isle of Wight autocentre for MOT and service. They kept the car all day and called once an hour with jobs that need doing. It was like they were looking for more work all the time. I left with £900 bill and having to take it back for an ordered part to be fitted. Never again will I use them

Don’t use them, they’re bullsh1tters who will just invent work that needs doing to bump up the bill. I paid £250 too much, took replaced brake discs to my dealership afterwards and they told me they didn’t need replacing. Complete villains, Avoid!! Go to a local garage who have been around a long time, don’t use chains like Halfords, K***fit etc, who are all under pressure of targets from the business.
