I was very disappointed going to harbor freight today to get a drill. The employee showed us where the drills were and we picked out the one we wanted when we got home. It was not a drill. It was a jackhammer drill not a regular drill. We turned around to exchange it for a drill, they charge us 20% restocking fee and we were only gone from the store not even three hours. The cost was $97.82 and they returned to me $78.25. Unbelievable! I will never shop at Harbor freight again.

I went to return and exchange a product. The girl at the register must of been new. The first thing she said was, "you're returning all of this"? I said yes but may exchange your jack set for a metal ramp. I handed her my receipts, one for the jacks and the other for two products. All 3 items had not been opened. She looked at both of them and couldn't figure out where the products were on the receipt and suddenly said, I'm going to help the next customer first, and suddenly started speaking to a Mexican man in Spanish behind me. She was hispanic also. I said, Yo no habla espanol but you need to help me first. Call your manager. She walks over to a woman who had been gossiping with another employee or customer, and the woman (Dawn) approaches me. I said, your employee just blew me off. I need assistance returning my goods, Yo no habla espanol. The manager immediately said I was racist and needed to leave the store. I told her I wasn't driving 50 miles to another Harbor freight. She called a big Mexican man to the register, so I left the store. If anyone was racist it was the cashier. Very unprofessional employees at the Mt Pleasant, TX location. I'll never go there again. Hopefully the District Manager calls me back today. I left a message at their Calabasas headquarters.

Excellent customer service today at the Blackwood store. Dan and Teddy were extremely busy, and handled it flawlessly, and professionally. They even loaded my vehicle for me. A+ service from both of those gentlemen!!!!

Spent almost $1,000 in Harbor Freight last week one of the things I purchased was five draw rolling tool cart in green. After putting it together a few days later in the shop which was today. I ended up finding out that the entire back hinge for the top lid was pulled out and there's three dents in the lid of this brand new toolbox. So I took pictures of it and went down to the local store where they have five or six of the same model in different colors for display in the aisle. Upon speaking to the store manager who didn't seem to care less and who had a lousy attitude and had just clocked in for the day I actually saw him clocking in he told me essentially that for the most part they couldn't help me they couldn't even guarantee me that they could get me the color that I had had of my toolbox not that I cared so much at that point. What I did care about was that I spent the time to come down there spent all the money took the product home spent a few hours to build the Box properly only to find out that it's damaged and now have to spend time to bring the box back down deal with people with a lousy attitude get another box bring it back to the shop and then take another couple hours to build it properly. So all I asked for was just swap me out my box which is built with one of yours which is built and you can put in mine in the row as one of your floor models not a big deal nobody loses any money you're just exchanging me out for your stuff that you sold me which was damaged. However the store manager was incredibly arrogant rude with me and then didn't even come back out to talk to me himself he sent message through somebody standing in the front which I found to be fairly cowardly. I then called corporate who put me on the phone with and equally useless and equally unhelpful and equally arrogant person who did nothing to help me and couldn't offer a solution which at that point I don't even understand why they have a customer service line if you don't attend to customer service matters what I can tell you is from here on out I will literally use anyone else other than Harbor Freight and not one mechanic in our shop will spend a dime here on anything so thank you for showing us that you have no loyalty to the people who purchase your products and that you hire people who don't have the mannerisms for customer service also thank you for showing us that you sell damaged junk and don't care

Harbor freight has good tools but there credit card company is a joke. Approved for $1,500 I bought $500 worth of tools with the card no late or missed payments and didn't matter how much I pay they lowered the limit below what was on the account every month to charge more and destroy credit ratings. Synchrony bank is a fraud.

I purchased a powerwasher and the item was defective upon returning it I was charged $39.99 restocking fee why am I paying to restock a defective item? Maybe I should charge them for my time to return the item. I called and left a VM for the DM but have yet to hear from anyone. So beware if they sell you defective tools you pay to restock them.

I happened to buy some welding supplies in the Poughkeepsie, NY today. I was greeted by the store manager who went out of his way to guide me to my products. The store (#340) was very clean and isles were neatly defined. I also used the bathroom and it was clean also. This store is well managed. Carl J. Verderber, Rhinebeck, NY PS- Of course the products were quality and affordable.

I purchased a 1 hp shallow well pump. It was bad upon instillation. I took it back, got a second pump. it lasted 1.5 days. I had a 1-year extended insurance plan. I took it back and harbor freight did not have a replacement. They refunded my money but charged me $35.00 for a restocking fee. So, harbor freight is going to restock my bad pump. Harbor freight is 60 miles away, I have no less then250 miles involved in there bad pumps. Is it possible I was sold a bad pump that had been restocked. I return a faulty pump and was charged for returning it, and they had no pump to replace my bad pump. I went to Menards and bought an equal pump, it came with an instore warranty, thaey told me if I return it, thdere will be no restocking fee.

Already sent a message to you about a driving mower lift with no response in a week so far. Don't buy anything from harbor freight by mail. You will end up with missing parts. The box looked like it had been in an accident....

Harbor Freight shouldnt be allowed to advertise items they dont actual stock or have in the stores. They expect you to pay up front for tool boxes and such in full and wait up to two and half months for delivery. Bad Joke and terrible practices.

Looked at buying the Predator pressure washer. 4400 PSI, 4.0 GPM. Applied for a credit card. To pay off with no interest. Price was $809 on sale. HD was out of stock on everything in this size range. Reviews were decent and I’m a contractor and need it for a job, so was going to roll the dice Until I started reading the warranty coverage. I thought it was two years, but when you read close… it’s only on the emissions. Everything else is 90 days. Then they will sell you a $299 warranty for two years. In the end paid $90 more for a Dewalt with same specs. 5 year engine, 10 year pump, 10 year frame and its Dewalt. There stuff is junk, they don’t back it up, and in reality it just not any more to buy decent brands that back there product and from retailers that do the same.

Had to stand in line, one register open, while 4 harbor freight employees try to find a creeper for one person. Ridiculous. Someone could have opened another register. I will order from Amazon and wait a day before I will stand in line forever while 4 people wait on one guy.

Bought a farm duty electric motor this morning for about $168. Spent two hours of mine and a mechanic’s time installing it on a pole over water. Using it for a boat lift. It ran for a few seconds and quit. I took it back to the Harbor Freight where I had bought it a few hours earlier. They didn’t have any more so they tried to refund my money, less a 20% restocking fee. On a defective item. I am livid. Going to another store in the morning to get a replacement, completing my business with this company.

Harbor freight cash usage always changing. Must have printed copy/or must be on phone. Back and forth until expired. Exploding screwdriver bits. Store refused to accept return for dangerous item. Not going back.

they sell battery chargers that don't charge dead batteries. How dumb is that. And sales people don't inform customers.60 bucks in the garbage. They would not let me return it or exchange it. I will never shop there again and will inform others of my experience.
