home depot is currently violating FTC laws in refusing to provide a prompt refund when delivery is delayed and later than the advertised and agreed upon time. I ordered a product that was supposed to arrive on 3/31, but it hasn't even shipped yet. It even says on the order page that it was supposed to be delivered 4/1 (already different from what was advertised, but still), and today's date is 4/2. I wasn't given any notice about a delay in shipping, and I do not consent to a delay. Therefore, HD must give me a refund, but I've talked to around 5 associates now and they all claim that they "cannot" follow the law and give me my legally entitled refund. One even said they couldn't cancel my order since it hasn't shipped yet, which makes no sense! FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule: The Rule, issued in 1975, requires sellers who solicit buyers to order merchandise through the mail, via the Internet, or by phone to have a reasonable basis to expect that the sellers can ship within the advertised time frame. The Rule also requires that, when a seller cannot ship within the promised time, the seller must obtain the buyer’s consent to a delay in shipping or refund payment for the unshipped merchandise. I've filed a claim with the FTC and I encourage anyone else in this situation to do the same, since it seems like their basic practice is to break this law.

If I could give this experience no stars I would 1266 Omniplex Dr, Cincinnati, OH 45240. I am very disgusted with the way I was treated and the process of receiving a refund. I ordered a washer and dryer set on March 3rd, that were to be delivered March 15th the washer and dryer arrived damaged so they were refused and sent back by me. I was told someone would call me the next day because it was a late evening delivery. I waited until noon the next day and no-one called so I called the store I was told that I couldn't get a reschedule and I had to wait for a refund to hit my back acct. I thought this was strange but since I asked to speak to a manager I didnt think to question I just requested the refund not the reschedule and I was very clear. The gentleman told me that it would take 5-7 days to receive. On day 3 I received a call from the company stating what day my reschedule was for I stated it went under a refund and called the store to reconfirm and I was told yes it is coming as a refund. During this call and hold process I was told by someone when I stated that this process was starting to get ridiculous that " well the equipment was sent and you sent it back" Like I was supposed to take damaged property" Really Home Depot do you by accept damaged brand new equipment? I mentioned that I would probably be taken my business elsewhere which is huge I live 3 minutes from Home Depot and now I am contemplating driving 2 extra miles to go to Lowes because of how I am being treated. I finished the complete 7 days and on day 8 (When I still had no money)called the store and was told no one had processed it as a refund but they would try to expedite it. I called got placed on hold for 20-30 minutes repeatedly was told the manager was not there and then in meeting...etc when I finally got to one she told me that I would have my refund by Monday 3/29 at the latest. Monday when I did not have my refund I called again and was told she was in Meeting so I had to go up there in person after work and talk to a manager, I waited so long and I ended up calling corporate on the spot and having a call with corporate and a manager who told me my refund was just sitting there and this could have been handled with out my time being wasted. So I completed the process to get my refund. I was told that maybe I could have a deal because of my inconvenience and I'm starting to be like ok maybe they care enough to see this was nuts experience. I was offered smaller units for the same amount of money. Home Depot, what would have been a great convenience is the same or bigger units with at least $200 off considering the fact I paid $1,869. and you've had it in limbo for almost a month at this point I finally received my refund March 31st.

Ordered grill cover ($89.99+) with free shipping and delivery date mentioned as of March 31, 2021. Shipment tracking suddenly started showing there’s an issue with delivery. Messaged on contact site and the guy on other side he has no info as to when it will reach. Ordering was done considering we move to a different state on 4/2, and to cover the grill before leaving. With no info being provided about revised likely date of delivery we are left in a lurch. Maybe we can cancel order but then the grill cannot be covered. There’s no coordination between the online store department and the shipping agent. Very bad and sad!

Worst delivery service ever! Order placed 3/14, estimate for delivery was 3/26 at time of order. Email received with a delivery date of 11/25 NOVEMBER 25 for an order placed MARCH 14. Called and was told nope thats wrong it will be delivered 3/31. Checked again a few days later with delivery company. delivery company said 3/31 is wrong they don't even have it from Home Depot. Got an email today saying now delivery is 4/12. Called Home Depot again to confirm. they said it was now someplace between them and the shipper and the "system" says delivery 4/12. I said well can I cancel it because this is ridiculous. Was told nope can't even cancel it. Maybe to Home Depot 729.00 isnt a lot of money but to me it is for an item that appears to be lost. A responsible company would have shipped out a new order, or minimally allowed me to cancel.

Tyler from plumbing saw that we were waiting in flooring for assistance. He checked in two or three times to make sure we got assistance and then took the time to make sure we got a reduced price for waiting. He was professional and courteous. A good experience in the Somersworth NH store!

This review is about Home Depot Customer Service - I placed an order on March 15 for patio furniture and received a notice it would be delivered on March 24. I called Home Depot customer service and asked to reschedule the delivery date. The customer rep apologized and said that the order had not yet shipped and there was no way the order would be delivered on the 24th. He told me I should look for an actual shipping notification. Perfect. On March 24, I received the shipping notification that delivery was scheduled for March 26. That was an equally bad date, so I called HD customer service who told me that delivery was actually scheduled for April 7. That was fine, I would deal with the delivery date as April 7th got closer. On March 24, I walked out my front door at 7:00 pm to find the large crate of patio furniture sitting on my front porch - while I would typically be thrilled to came so early, I had specifically called twice to make sure this delivery didn't happen on that date (or the 26th) and was assured it would not! If that wasn't bad enough, none of the assembly pieces (bolts, etc) were in the carton. I called HD customer service this morning (March 25) to vent my frustration. The HD customer service representative apologized for all of the bad information his colleagues previously gave me, but it was their fault - it was the system's fault for not having the right information. I asked to speak to his supervisor; he told me her name is Jessica. He went on to tell me that Jessica wouldn't make with me. Wait - she's a supervisor in customer service, and I'm a customer - and she won't speak with me? Yes, she would not speak with me. This is the best Home Depot can do? This is what's wrong with America!

I chose Home Depot to complete my kitchen remodel. Initially the process was great. However, the subcontractor provided by HD who installed the countertop did a horrible job. They were difficult to work with immediately. They made it clear their time was more valuable than mine when trying to schedule. The man who did the measurements was rude to me and my main contractor. The install though was terrible. One slab was cut at a wrong angle and did not butt up to the stove, at places leaving a gap of almost 1/2 an inch. The same on another slab. I was told the seam wouldn't be noticeable, but there's a ridge and it's not level with the neighboring slab. (I was told the seam should be polished down till it can't be seen or felt) the slab for the sink is where it's really unjustified below industry standard work. The hole for the sink was cut so far back, the faucet can't be installed. He cut the hole for faucet anyway knowing this. They told me I could remove my window frame. To make things worse, the installer drug dog poo into my house. I don't have a dog. Immediately I called the store. Logan asked I provide photos, which I did and was told, in writing, it was below standards and would be looked into. I never heard back from the store. I called corporate and was connected to Erika. She actually laughed when I told her everything. I was contacted by the installer who sent their manager to the house to inspect, again my schedule was inconvenient for them. He attempted to spin me but admitted it was poorly done. I was later contacted by someone at the installation company via email and was told it was not properly installed and needed to be replaced. Erika at Home Depot corporate also sent me an email saying it would need to be replaced. I was then contacted by Adrienne at the store who involved a guy named Steve. They told me they'd give me any faucet I wanted and financial compensation for my troubles. I want to note Steve was aggressive and attempted, in my opinion, to try to bully and intimidate me. The call dropped. I emailed Erika and accepted the new install, the faucet and financial compensation I was offered. She responded in writing the next day telling me I had two options: $500 and I just deal with the poor quality work or they will come install a faucet I provide at my expense and they'll give me $200 for the inconvenience. I responded I expected they honor their original resolution offers. She responded it was not negotiable. I have filed a law suit in order to recover my money. In the mean time, I live with a kitchen that is not fully functional. It's costing me money in a variety of ways from eating out, bottled water, lost wages to my other workers, etc. Plus the inconvenience of having to do dishes in my bathroom for over two months now and my house in disarray and it will still be a while before its resolved. Home Depot has made it clear they don't think I'm worthy of quality work and they are an unethical company. I attempted to leave a review on the home depot website but they've blocked me from being able to.

We ordered a dishwasher in December. It was supposed to be delivered on March 1. It was delivered, but they couldn’t install it due to a plumbing issue. They told us they would send a plumber out and it would be free and we would be able to use our old one when they left. Neither of these were true. We had to pay the plumber $110 and our dishwasher was not able to be hooked up to the new plumbing. So, we went without a dishwasher for a week until they could once again, attempt to deliver our dishwasher. Well, guess what?! They came again to deliver our dishwasher, and this time there was an issue with the electric, and on top of it all, the dishwasher was BROKEN!!!! I sent them out of my hose, and called my local appliance store, and had a new dishwasher installed within 24 hours!! Will NEVER order another appliance from Home Depot again!!

I purchased mulch.. the cashier, Elizabeth was pleasant. However, we pulled up to load 10 bags of mulch and Cobie did not even acknowledge that I was loading the bags nor did he offer to take my cart that I had unloaded by myself. At the very least he should have offered to help... maybe even asked to see my receipt to show I had purchased said items. Customer service is lost on the poor HD representative.

Terrible delivery service. They are never able to install appliances as paid for and promised. The prior delivery of a dishwasher was severely damaged and this delivery of a washer was not installed. We only received a call from a customer service representative with a bad attitude and zero customer service skills. I do not recommend delivery from Home Depot and their substandard subcontractors. Just Awful!!

I received 21 of 65 boxes of flooring. Not enough to do they job. Six weeks later, after numerous phone calls, the balance hasn't arrived. Home Depot refuses to give m a refunf despite the fact that they have custody of thr missing materials. Customers service is non-existent. Home depot shifts you from one agent to another until you give up or they promise to call back and never do. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HOME DEPOT ONLINE THAT REQUIRES Shipping.

I ordered one front door and 2 sliding glass doors. The home depot guy showed up to measure the doors with no mask. I shouldn't have let him in. But i did, my mistake. Ok so then he starts measuring and telling me that he had Covid two weeks ago! I take a step back and he starts telling me that the sliding glass doors cant be done. WE CAN BUILD SKYSCRAPERS, but i can't get sliding glass door installed where one already exists. I have had two other contractors over to look at the doors and both said that they were accessible and that they are a standard size, and they can't understand why anyone would tell me that. Dont waste your time with Home Depot - the people they use to contract with are the worst of the worst. I tried to post this on Home Depot and it was rejected. Big surprise. Only good reviews get consideration for posting. Google also wouldn't allow me to post it for some reason that i am not aware of. Perhaps their customer, Home Depot, controls what they are allowed to post. Either way i find their tactics to be pretty underhanded since they are the only show in town for them to not allow me to post my experience is wrong and shortsighted. I have already downloaded Firefox to get away from Google and their surveillance.

I own and operate a wholesale nursery.I bought a $27,10” Mass Cane plant at your Punta Gorda Store this morning. When I got it home and replanted it, I found that it was 3 separate canes stuck into the pot with minimal roots. The plants have obviously been in the container for a very short time. I would expect much better product from your grower costa Farms, and much better Quality Control at Home Depot.

I received a refrigerator damaged. After being on hold for 1 1/2 hours I was told I could not get a new one for 5 days. I explained someone was going to take my old one. They are so use to sending damaged goods and not giving good customer service they think it is alright and you should just say ok because things happen. I have NEVER had customer service that believes you should be ok with their error. I would not recommend them for appliances.

Home Depot Lincoln Park 2665 N Halsted St, Chicago, IL 60614. Called to change an incorrect delivery address and was met with sophomoric phone pranks. I called the main number, the woman was very helpful and issue was quickly resolved. Customer service should matter, as Menards, Lowe's, True Value, all offer the same products. Never again Home Depot- ever.

I purchased, online, the LG 5.2 cu.ft.High Efficiency Mega Capacity front load washer and matching 9.0 cu.ft. dryer which were delivered today Feb 6, 2021. I paid $1,499 for each piece. I ordered the pair on Jan 28, 2021. Two days after ordering the pair I read they have the exact pair on sale; the price was now $1,099. That’s a difference of $802. I looked online and found Home Depot has a well-documented 30-day price-match guarantee. I waited to call them since I thought I had some time, and wanted to wait until delivery of my appliances. The day of delivery (02/06/21) I called a store to apply for that rebate. The store I called told me that APPLIANCES only have a 7 day price match guarantee. I never read that anywhere. Needless to say I’m very sad, even angry. I could have called when I learned about the decrease in price, two days after purchase, but wanted to do nothing that may delay delivery so I waited until they were delivered. The delivery was delayed due to the pandemic, and if it had been on time we could have made it within that 7 days. I think these days some leeway could be made for such things. I usually have no complaints about Home Depot. I do now, and will tell friends and relatives about this.
