I looked up boom lift rentals on their website and found one that would meet my job requirements and a price I could afford on my fixed income. During the rental process I was asked if I wanted the insurance protection and said NO! When I returned the unit I noticed that the charge was higher than I had expected and was told that the insurance is mandatory. This added $55 to the rental cost. This is a very poor business practice and should be better disclosed so customers can make informed decisions on rentals. They should just increase the rental cost to include the insurance and not have hidden costs that customers are aware of!

I paid for installation of a dishwasher and refrigerator and to my surprise upon arrival the contractor had stipulations. How does one not disconnected and reconnect the water line on a dishwasher and refrigerator for installation? How do you "install" a dishwasher without a water line? I mean, the main installation is the water line. Never again will I buy appliances from Home Depot. Now I am stuck looking for someone to connect my water line. Absurd.

My dishwasher broke so I ordered a new one from Home Depot. I waited a week for delivery. I was looking forward to finally getting this done. The installers showed up with the new washer, and I left them in the kitchen to return to working from home. Immediately I could hear them like there were on some phone call. I thought nothing of it, but apparently they took "issue" with the water valve under my sink that my current dishwasher was using. I did not understand the problem as it worked fine. After a few minutes they explained because since there was a slight amount of corrosion on the valve they could not install the dishwasher. I would either have to get a plumber to replace the valve and reschedule the installation, call an appliance place to install it, or return the unit and start over. I opted to schedule a plumber and rescheduled another installation attempt for a week out. So the plumber comes out and tells me that he will replace it if I want, but there is nothing wrong with that valve. Further, he tells me that with dishwashers and Home Depot this is common and it actually happened to his own mother. He said he tried to tell the installers the valve was fine, but they would not budge. He then told them they could turn the water off to the entire house instead, nope not acceptable. They would not let the customer turn the water off at the house or at the valve nor would they let the customer sign a waiver. So UNLESS YOU HAVE A HOUSE THAT WAS JUST BUILD THE DAY BEFORE WITH SHINY NEW EVERYTHING they won't install your dishwasher. So the valve was perfectly find for a reasonable person to install a new dishwasher. I have been in my house 20 years and had bought dishwashers from Sears and Lowes, and this was the only time the valve was a big issue. I am attaching a photo - you judge. It is still solid and works fine. The sketchy part of this was the original installer waited til his co worker had stepped away to tell me that he COULD in fact install the dishwasher that evening, after his shift ended for $200 under the table. So I paid Home Depot already for installation, which they lied and said they could not do it because of the valve, but the valve was apparently fine because this guy would have done it that night for another $200. I passed on it as this whole operation is shady, sleazy, and I doubt this random guy was bonded and insured nor did I think he'd warranty his work. So the local plumber who I hired to come out to replace the "broken valve" said the valve was fine, and he ended up installing the dishwasher. But this is not the end of it. With the dishwasher Home Depot had left TWO cords - the junction box one for hardwiring dishwasher - which is what I intended to do - and a cord that plugged into a household outlet. The junction box cord was defective. Dishwasher would NOT power on. Home Depot is useless but Bosch will be sending us a brand new one. So to get me through while I wait for this replacement cord comes, the plumber connected it to the plug in one temporarily so I would not have to keep handwashing dishes yet another week. I am beyond frustrated with this installation experience. I had them install a built in microwave and except for the fact they did not leave me my product booklet, that went fine. Anything that requires them to hook up to water - dishwasher/Washer/Fridge with ice maker - expect them to come up with a fake phony reason to NOT be able to honor your install appointment. YOU will have to spend ANOTHER $200 replacing the working valve if it is not shiny enough for them, BUT maybe, since the installer knows this policy is a bunch of BS, maybe you can pay the installer $200 - ON THE SIDE WINK WINK - and under the table they will install it. I view this piece as a total SCAM. I will never buy another appliance from Home Depot ever again. I have relayed to 4 Home Depot customer service people so far my experience with the valve and the "under the table" guy and they just stay silent - like a "So what this is normal for Home Depot". So the COMPANY IS CONDONING THIS. They don't care - they just want to sell you a dishwasher. They don't care if you plan to have it one day but in realilty have to call in plumbers, electricians, whatever fake reason their install team can come up with to NOT do the planned install. Expect to wait at least a week longer and have to go through the expense and aggravation of getting something that is not broke fixed because their scam artist installers do not think it looks like it came out of a plumbing store. SKIP THEM.

I would rate home depot a -10 but that is not an option. We had our pellets delivered today. The delivery driver was a night to deal with. He broke an entire pellet and left it in the middle of our drive way. He also broke the bottom of the other pellets' and he didn't even put them where we asked him. Also my husband hand to pick up each bag himeself and make a pile, becuse he dropped it over the driveway. He had an attitude and just left, we will not be dealing with home depot anymore.

Beware if you were expecting an appliance to be delivered by the Home Depot. I bought a refrigerator and the driver refused to make an attempt to deliver it because it was raining. I would recommend using Lowe’s because they have their own delivery service.

Washer had a large dent in front on delivery so I refused it. Called store in florence online sales person Jeffery took my call. I asked if the delivery could be expidided. When I explained that I had called 800 number they said it could take up to 48 hrs to get scheduling to get back to me just to give me a new delivery date. Jeffery put me on hold called delivery and got me a new delivery date in 5 minutes. He said after we get new waher that he would give me some compensation for inconvenance. Also, Steve in store (Florence, Kentucky) was a big help when we purchased new washer and dryer. We will definitely be back when we order our new dishwasher. Its also been a year since we bought our new refridgerator fro Steve at Home Depot.

Refrigerator had 48 hour return for any reason policy. Invoice stated that item was not eligible for pickup when first delivered but I am expected to bring it in myself to return it for defects within 48 hour window. Refigerator quit cooling today and never cooled adequately. Hasn't made but 30 ice cubes in 3 days. Called Home Depot and they said to call GE. Called GE and they said to call Home Depot. Losing all refrigerated food.

This bad review is because of the head office. The actual store I purchased from was fine I ordered fridge online, And read through all the instructions very carefully. Including during the checkout when you had to choose whether or not you needed to order a new water hose and pay for installation of the hose. It made it clear that if you have a functioning hose, that is in good shape Then you don’t need to purchase that and the delivery team will just show up with your new fridge And install it for you. That turns out to be completely false in western Canada (Apparently, in eastern Canada, it applies). So they showed up with my new fridge, but would not take my old one away because I had not unhook the waterline, And even if I were to unhook it in front of them, they would not hook up the new fridge without a new water connecter. There was nothing wrong with my old one So the team left and now I’m stuck with two nonfunctioning fridges clogging up the kitchen During the first week of school I race over to Home Depot buy a new hose, The associates are aware of this repeating issue but their hands are tied. The delivery company also says this happens Most of the times they do deliveries for Home Depot. And now it’s up to me to rebook the delivery team to come back And now I have to watch YouTube videos on what to do with waterlines And get a neighbour to come haul the old fridge out so I could get to the waterline. And the next week they came back and installed the new fridge and took away the old one Come on Home Depot! You can do better than that! This loyal customer of several decades will not be buying my next appliances with you. Simply over being too lazy to update your website to have accurate information. All you have to do is put in bold letters that anybody ordering a fridge in western Canada must buy a new water connecter and have the fridge completely disconnected from the waterline before the delivery company shows up with the new fridge. Easy Peasy. Instead, you are knowingly causing distress unnecessarily for fellow citizens Who are then surprised that their fridge is being delivered, but it’s not being installed. Such unacceptable inaction of over such a simple problem….Fixing one or two lines on a website. Ridiculous. I gave two stars because of the ease of the use of their website and because the actual store associates were very kind. But as for the head office and top ranking people within the company that are turning a blind eye to this known problem, I give a - 5 if I could… They don’t even have a complaint department that you can send a complaint to. You can only send a email to their general email box. Which I did and it got nowhere. As for the damaged parts, I contacted the maker of the fridge directly, and they were awesome and solved my problem.

I have never been so disappointed with a company as I am with the Homedepot I ordered new kitchen cabinets in March they arrived the beginning of May 4 of them damaged I sent them pictures of the damaged cabinets and was told they would order replacement cabinets this was on 5/7/24 and was told I would have them in 2 1/2 weeks I tried calling the beginning of June to get a heads up on the status of the cabinets because my contractor had other jobs to do I got no calls back after calling and leaving messages then I finally talked to the warranty person that said I would have the replacement cabinets in 2 1/2 weeks and he told me he only got a replacement door and said he didn't order the cabinets he told me he was going to order the replacement cabinets and he would call me write back never happened went to the home depot on 7/19/24 talked to a manager and was told no cabinets were on order for me now I was out $1600 on my first contractor had to hire another contractor for $2300 to finish the job because the first contractor had other jobs to get i was told i would be compensated for the money i was out because it was the homedepot falt and when I called them on 9/10/24 I was told they could only compensate me $400 that's a long way from what I am out save your money now I have to get my lawyer involved.I WILL shop Lows or my local stores before I shop the homedepot

HOME DEPOT WORKERS NEED MORE TRAINING. I was told by a chat rep that I will get compensated because of the dented stove. At the end nothing could be done because I didn't save the chat script as a proof. The chat rep said that they couldn't find any chat about it. lesson learned. Also schedule a tech to take a look at this new fridge. I reported under the 48 hours. At the end the tech can't fix the un even doors and the rubber sealant. Home depot refused to take it back because its over the 48 hours. Just told me go straight to the manufacture. Policy must be followed but they can also go around it depending on certain situation. One say yes, I can get you a replacement. Next thing, I know is no replacement can be order. Contacted LG but told should contact home depot. so frustrating!

To Whom It May Concern, I would strongly advise against ordering items from Home Depot through their online app. There appears to be a glitch in the application that fails to notify customers when their packages have been delivered. Unfortunately, my family and I experienced this firsthand. After one of our packages was stolen without us being aware it had even been delivered, I contacted Home Depot multiple times to address the issue. Their response was disappointing. They acknowledged that the package delivery notification system was malfunctioning but still refused to take responsibility because their delivery partner, ONTRAK, had taken a photo showing the package on our porch. Here’s the solution they offered me: "We are sorry this happened and we understand your frustration. While we recognize the issue with the delivery notifications, there isn't anything we can do. You will need to file a report with the police for the missing package, send that report to Citibank, and possibly get reimbursed for the item. You can then reorder it." This response places the burden on customers, even though the failure to notify was due to a glitch in their system. If you're elderly, disabled, or have any limitations, this process could be especially cumbersome. Essentially, if you don't know your package has arrived and it’s stolen, Home Depot will not take responsibility, even if it’s due to a flaw in their app. Instead, they expect you to navigate a complicated process of filing a police report and seeking reimbursement from your bank. Consider this a warning to potential customers. My advice: test the system with a small order to see if notifications work for you before committing to larger purchases. Best wishes, and hopefully, you won’t have to learn the hard way as we did.

A shout out to Alondra in the Home Depot on University Drive in Denton, TX. I needed to make a complicated appliance purchase for a non-profit. I had gotten as far as I could online. I came in to the store for help. Alondra was fabulous. It was a purchase that required help. She asked for supervisor help where needed, and she got it done with a smile. Thanks, Home Depot, for having employees like Alondra. I'll be back to purchase other items.

In the Kingston homedepot there is a gentleman who's name is Jim. He works in the appliance department. We purchased a washer and a stove. Jim went through the entire explanation of each appliance. He answered all of our questions and went over certain things a number of times. I just hope the appliances are as good as Jim's explanation. A great service person and a credit to homedepot.

Home Depot online ordering has been one of the biggest disappointments. I ordered a vanity 12 days ago. After missing my delivery date multiple times and numerous calls to the resolution team, nothing has been resolved and I do not have a vanity. I was informed the shipping company is too busy to deliver my order and I can wait until next year to receive my order. At this point I asked for a refund. I was put on hold over an hour, informed management was in a meeting and too busy to speak to me, they might call me back at their convenience. So no product, no refund. I'd call that theft. Needless to say I will not shop online or in-store at Home Depot as they ripped me off $700. Buyer beware when ordering from Home Depot. Also note HUB group was the shipping company. Very unreliable.
