The Connell apartment was fantastic, the beds were so comfortable. Loved having tv in both bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was a real plus. The views from the lounge are very special to Whitby, love the west cliff area. This has probably been the best apartment we have rented in Whitby over the years. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Only one toilet working so four of us had to use the same one which was in our bedroom. But I will say the flat was great.

Terrible customer service. On arrival to our apartment at 5:30pm with a newborn and toddler in tow, it wasn’t clean. There were dirty towels on the floor and the beds had been slept in. I contacted Host & Stay straight away who tried to get in touch with the cleaning team. They were unsuccessful so I arranged to stay in a nearby hotel for one night and to return the next day to complete the rest of my trip. I requested a refund for the one night and of the cleaning fee due to the inconvenience caused. I was told to expect it to take 10 working days to receive a refund, which I accepted. It’s now been over a month and I’m still waiting for a refund. Each time I contact customer service they’re apologetic but do nothing to resolve the issue. They also keep getting things confused, even the amount I paid, offering to refund me for less than the one nights stay and not at all acknowledging this or the fact I also requested the cleaning fee to be returned. I booked via airbnb so can only assume it cost more via that platform and they aren’t aware? Wouldn’t stay with them again as I don’t trust they can respond effectively to issues.

We stayed here for my 30th birthday as a girls trip. From the moment we arrived we loved the house. The decor is beautiful, it’s spacious yet the lounge area seems cosy and is the perfect space to relax with a drink! The house is in a perfect location, rural enough to explore places like chatsworth but you can also walk to Matlock. We were left milk, wine and biscuits which was a lovely touch. We were just sad we couldn’t stay longer. Thank you for a great stay! 😊

We had a long wknd at Britton Hall Bungalow. (3rd -6th January ) We have family in the aera. The Bungalow was very warm clean & tidy. The beds were very comfortable. I would have given it 4stars but the kitchen lacked basic equipment. No Grater or big bowls for making salads etc just normal dinner sets & glasses. The gate when we arrived was broken & on the ground so although pets were allowed the garden wasn't secure. We had a lot of snow on Sunday which was beautiful but considering the aera & the weather a snow shovel might be a good investment as we encountered difficulty leaving the house to get to the car . ( Hubby booked on his email but doesn't do reviews )

The fisherman’s cottage was a very cute cosy place in an excellent location with plenty of cafes and restraints around as well as pubs and nice shops to mooch about. We enjoyed our stay with our fur baby, however the cleaning and facilities were far from our standard. To begin with you enter around back of property which is pitch black after sunset, we were there Jan 2/6 so 4 pm in our case. The back door is extremely stiff, I had to call Host and Stay and say we were locked out. After many attempts we gained access. It was warm and cosy so we unpacked and settled in. I did not find cutlery and kitchen equipment clean so I actually bleached all the things we were going to use before we could use anything. The oven was very smoky where it needed a clean, the toilet was stained at the bottom very unattractive. I went to use spare quilt in top of wardrobe and it was full of hairs, however as soon as I called it was replaced later that day. A few other minor things but we did not let it spoil our stay, we would definitely return to Cromer but not to this accommodation u til it had a deep clean and some maintenance

Worst hosts as a company and location I've ever stayed in, in this air bnb style manner. Terrible customer service who just reply to emails with the usual niceties and professional key words but doesn't actually follow through with that they say. The location of Athenaeum House in Leeds is what I would describe as great location but the other habitants/guests are ridiculously loud. If you want a good sleep, don't stay here. Doors slamming until early hours of the morning all day until around 0330. Personally I believe the apartment to be opposite someone selling drugs. Every 30mins from 2230 -0330 the doors would slam open and close, (shaking the thin walls) as if they are going out to meet someone and deal. The apartment looks out onto a building site and on the same side, from around 2030 to 2330 muptiple times there is a pub worker who pours hundreds of bottles into a skip Walls are thin so conversations can be heard next door Missing TV remote. For my 9 day stay, it would've been nice to relax with some background TV. It didn't work at all without it. Was told they will look into it and i would recieve a response, but nobody did. Bought a replacement remote for the last few days, which i offered to leave it there if they reimburse me... again, useless emails from the company so it went in the bin. No mirror In the bathroom, making shaving a creative challenge. Oven didn't work fully Main entrance was faulty and even unsecured as the lock was broken off Mould and damp coming in from the ceiling, creating a pile of flaking paint on the floor Overall. A terrible place to stay and terrible company to book with. They do not care about customer service at all

Mallard Cottage was lovely and clean, plenty of amenities, enjoyed our stay, although there were a few many steps for us. No problem for younger couples, families etc.

Host & Stay property managers were very efficient during our recent Xmas stay. They quickly resolved a problem we had with the heating and followed up regularly to check we were okay. Property was very clean and well equipped. Also property was beautifully decorated for Xmas including three trees. Thank you.

We have just returned from South View, Grange Under Sands in the Lake District with 6 of us and a doggie staying four nights over Christmas. The house is beautifully decorated and clean, three huge double bedrooms (two bedrooms didn't have a wardrobe however), all with their own spacious bathroom. The house felt much larger than in the photos. The log fire was easy to set up and the lounge had been decorated for Christmas by the owner. There were plenty of kitchen utensils etc to cook every day including a full Christmas Dinner! Parking for four cars at the front was perfect for us. Located not far from the bottom of Lake Windermere, we visited lots of local places all within 10 minutes drive. Our only thoughts for other prosective visitors to this property, are that it is on a main road (which was very quiet as it was Christmas), however in the peak summer months, road noise might be annoying for some people. Also the front garden is the only outdoor space, so we couldn't let our dog off lead. The house is heated by HIVE, which we struggled to set to get hot water and this reset itself every morning, so someone had to remember to change the timer each day so that we could get some hot water! However, I'd like to say that Host and Stay were easily contactable throughout our stay and we all had a wonderful holiday at South View. Many thanks.

We have just returned from The Coach House as a family of 10, over the Christmas period. I can honestly say it was been wonderful! It is even more stunning than the photographs. The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful. The lounge accommodated 10 people easily. We cooked a full Christmas lunch, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and the table easily sat all of us. It was lovely and warm, in all the rooms. The location and the views are amazing, especially of the Abbey. We walked to Whitby Brewery one night for a drink and pizza, which only took five minutes. I would advise taking some torches, as is very dark but great dark skies to look at the stars. And is also a short walk into wonderful Whitby. We loved our stay would all definitely go back!

We stayed at Gwenelin Cottage in the lovely village of Evesham the weekend before Christmas. Wow it did not disappoint! It felt exactly like ā€˜The Holiday’ film. A lovely pub just a stones throw away and we were a short drive from the idyllic villages of the Cotswolds. Our favourite part was the cosy fire and open plan Kitchen/Living area. Everything was lovely. We are already planning coming back next year! Thanks so much.

Stunning apartment with a lovely view of the Estuary. Apartment was spacious and nice to have basics like tea, coffee, bin bags, tin foil etc., Shame there was no Christmas decorations up to make it feel a bit Christmassy. Only negative was no power pressure to the shower, and took ages to have a shower. Same with the cold water tap in bathroom, had to turn it quite a bit to get the water out. Not a fan of the damaged waiver, first time using booking.com that we have had to do this. Not everyone especially this time of year can afford Ā£300 up front, and then to have a lower option where Ā£10 fee is deducted didn’t settle well with us. We are a mature couple who have complete respect where we stay, and just felt a bit wrong having this Ā£10 taken from us. But overall great experience and would recommend this apartment as close to centre and was great having a parking spot too.
