“Customer service doesn't answer the phone or return emails. If you need assistance returning their products, good luck. They don't give you the promised prepaid return label and there's no information on their website as to where to return items if you're inside the US, only outside. Oh, and you are supposed to return within 90 days. I'm really fed up with this company and won't be shopping here ever again.”

“Easy to order , price reasonable for decent fitting shoes ! Also able to track order usually by Hermes . No problems with returns either . Hotter footwear is always reliable and comfortable, hard wearing and a great range of styles to choose from , ladies and gents !”

“I love my whisper boots because they look great with leggings and they are incredibly comfortable. I have flat feet and mishapen toes, but there is plenty of wiggle room.”

“description says removable insoles and yes they are but underneath it is the ugly base. Have other shoes from different company and once the insole is removed are finished with identical covering as removable insole. The shoes are not cheap and would have expected a better finish.”

“Ordered a pair of boots, unfortunately I was unable to go to store to pick them up. I rang the store and told them and was told I would get a refund. Three weeks later no refund and I have rang them several times and was told fourteen days for refund!! Had to ring them again and complain very strongly, spoke to supervisor told three to five days for refund!! Would not recommend this company for online purchases.”

“My first two purchases of Hotter ‘Gortex’ shoe was made four years ago and they were very good. When the opportunity arose to buy some more of the same shoe in a sale I purchased two more pair of shoes and put them aside to use when the others had worn out. The first pair I took out to use, the soles split within weeks and the shoes had hardly been worn, some of the eyelets also came off; they let water in soon after I started wearing them so I then used them to walk over the pebble beach when down the south coast. The second pair I started using this year have also developed cracks in the soles of the shoe and are also rendered useless. I can’t send them back as I have had them in my wardrobe for a year before using them! While I sung the praises of hotter shoes at first, the bottom line now is I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole! They are a very expensive mistake and not worth a glance.”

“Bought black patient shoes, had them on for 15minutes and made all my heels black. Complained and was told to wipe them with a damp cloth!!!! Ridiculous will never buy from these cowboys again,”

“Took 6 weeks to receive. Tried to cancel the order but got absolutely no response from customer service. Boots have such a pungent smell that they need to out gas before I can wear them. Won't be placing another order.”

“Just ordered 2 more pair of the Serenity shoes. They are wide enough for my wide feet, and extremely cute. I have worn the pair I bought this summer so much they are almost wore out, I mean as in everyday of the week. My kids even said how cute they were, and they are tough critics.”

“I find Hotter shoes well made and I can use my insoles in them as they have removable insoles. Be warned though that returning them promptly when unsuitable can result in two weeks before they reach Hotter through Hermes. Then a further two weeks for a refund. This far exceeds any other company I order from.”

“I bought a pair of Charmaine shoes in navy blue. I tried to buy them last year but they had sold out so I was very excited to finally get some. They are simply the most comfortable pair of shoes I have every owned, but there is a but!! They are suede (I wanted blue and blue was only available in suede). I wear them to work about twice a week and after about 4-5 wearings, the heel was starting to wear. I have emailed the customer service team who asked me to send them back. I used their labels, took the shoes to a Hermes pick up point, and that was 13 days ago now. According to the tracking they are still in a hub waiting to be returned. I have spoken to customer service today who now tell me that they will exchange the shoes but the black leather charmaines which I have requested are no longer available in my size. There are few alternatives, none that I particularly like or that are in leather rather than suede. They are saying they will refund me but I need to send the "free" scarf that I was sent with the shoes back or else they will deduct £25 off the cost of the shoes!!! I haven't got the scarf. I gave it to a friend. So now my choices are to accept less money for shoes that I have worn may be 8 times, or to accept a pair of shoes in exchange that I don't want. At £69 per pair, they are not cheap and the customer service is shockingly bad. I will be taking this further. A real shame as I loved those shoes!”

“Customer services went out of their way to help me. They recognised my needs and tried to locate the most suitable pair of shoes to accomodate my requirements. They operate a policy where one can get replacements and so I was able to try different styles until the correct one for me was reached. The end result was a good fit and I hope will last me a little while. Thank you Hotter!”

“On June 23, 2017 I returned two pair of shoes to the Jamaica, NY address. One "pair" consisted of two left shoes, and the other pair didn't fit. I asked Hotter's to send a right and a left shoe for the first pair, and I ordered another pair in the place of the second.I heard nothing. I emailed a complaint some time in late summer. I heard nothing. Now I have no choice but to register a negative review and I'll not be ordering from Hotter's again.”
