The food didnt arrive, somehow the driver was able to enter a verification code and deem the order as successfully delivered. Yet the reception staff at the hotel verbally confirmed that the driver walked into the hotel and straight back out, he didnt engage with anyone and walked back out WITH the food. The hotel have video evidence of this also. In short my kids were very hungry I had to order the same meal again via JustEat this time. The second order arrived, no issues. Deliveroo on the other hand not only failed to deliver the food, have stated that I am not eligible for a refund which is absolutely bonkers. As a result I will take the following action: • Initiate a charge back • Contact the Deliveroo Director of Customer Experience • Report to trading standards • Share my negative experience on several social media and review platforms • Convince friends, family, colleagues to make the switch to JustEat or UberEats. The order is only £40 approx, however the principle is what matters and the fact that my kids were quite hungry and their dinner was delayed by 3 hours e.g. 10:30pm. To add insult to injury the customer service staff were implying I am dishonest and thereby potentially a fraudster because there was no way that the delivery driver could make the drop without the verification code.

NIGHTMARE TO DEAL WITH TOTAL COWBOYS TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR MISTAKES AND POOR SERVICE HAVE NEVER HAD A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE FOOD.IS USUALLY COLD OR UNDERCOOKED OR SPILLED RESTAURANTS MUST GO BACK TO FIXING THEIR OWN DELIVERY SO DELIVEROO CANT SABOTAGE THESE HARD WORKING RESTAURANTS AND TAKEWAYS EVEN WHEN I CALLED AND SPOKE TO THE RESTAURANTS AND AGREED TO REFUND ME FOR UNDERCOOKED FOOD DELIVEROO REFUSED TO PASS ON THE MONEY OFFICER OF FAIR TRADING. ..... step in and close them down for good...... its hell here with them

They are taking £8 per month out of my bank for a subscription I never set up as I'm sure no one in there right mind would! I've now asked them to stop 5 times and they won't! So now I have to cancel my bank card and open a fraud case against them! Absolutely pathetic!!!

My grandad ordered lunch for him and myself. We saw the deliveroo car so he waited at the door. When the driver drove off my grandad tried to go after him but unsuccessful of course. He rings deliveroo and says “it’s been delivered to the address you put down”. Yes my poor old grandad put the wrong door number but the postcode and everything was correct. Luckily he’s friends with the people they “delivered” it to, so after speaking to that house he rang deliveroo back because the house denied the food. Long story short, they’re all liars, tried to make my pensioner grandad re order and pay for the food. Said he could have a refund and after 3 weeks of no refund, got told they had no idea about the situation so no refund! Disgusting. Half tempted to report to higher people.

Probably the worst service organisation I have dealt with. Most responses are default responses, and they flat out refuse to make whole orders which are incorrect.

We ordered some food which was just left on the floor. we then called the driver who told us it was probably still at McDonalds i then had to go to McDonalds only to be told the driver had not said anything so no food we have been trying for weeks to get our money back but they just do not want to make us a refund. they are a disgrace very quick to take your money but not to give you a re fund

Have ordered a meal from KFC on the last day in London, UK. It should have been arrived by 9pm, it was delayed and delayed until it arrived at 10pm, on the receipt my order was ready at 9 and this means it have stayed there for AN HOUR, obviously everything arrived cold and inedible, contacted the assistance and they promised to give us a refund, then two days later they’re saying I won’t get it. It’s not for the money because I don’t care for 18£, it’s how you treat your customers. I will find all the ways to give you a bad review because you can’t fool people this way 👎👎👎👎

Ordered food in Norwich. No was food delivered. We called the restaurant who said the drivers had been stealing the food. We called Deliveroo and after being hung-up on, eventually got through to someone who refused to refund our money. It was like talking to a brick wall. Drivers are scamming customers and Deliveroo isn't taking responsibility.

Four times now in the last few weeks we have had Deliveroo drivers knock on our door with a delivery, WHEN WE HAVEN'T ORDERED ANYTHING. We have nothing to do with Deliveroo and have never used them. If we have another Deliveroo driver knocking on our door again, we will be contacting the police.

Crooked rubbish abusive deceiving horrible management.. they think that people have nothing to do but keep asking them to right positive reviews about them and their delivery drivers,,after tipping their driver in cash then by card using their app they contact you the next day asking you to tip their drivers again and again. I’m disabled and had a very long hard difficult day moving home then I used them to get food delivery the kept on sending texts asking me to tip them again and again good damn your rotten services

Food wasn’t delivered, Deliveroo wouldn’t refund or even discuss the issue. They fob you off for a few days then tell you the refund can’t be made. We’ll never use them again.

I must be a fool because I gave Deliveroo another chance. They are woefully incompetent. If things go wrong they stay wrong. They are incapable of sorting out their own problems. It is a mystery to me how such an utterly useless company manages to stay in business. Beyond terrible.

As i am a regular customer of Deliveroo , I invite you to collect the pitiful bunch of flowers and see the poor state of them. For ten pounds it is despicable, as i pointed out i have purchased these before as was going to be a regular thing. I will now discontinue the use of this site as my complaint has clearly been disregarded and will now be looking to address this matter further with senior management, trade descriptions as well as the ombudsman i suggest others do the same. As a carer i do not have excessive funds to throw away on inferior products.

Easily one of my most hated companies. I hate them so much I deleted the app. But I am too I’ll to leave the house so decided to make a one-off order. 2.5 hours later and 3 orders later and still no sign of my food.

I ordered at 12:30 and now it is 2:45 and my order didn't yet arrive! I order kids food which doesn't take more than 15 min. There is no customer service, there is no way to follow up the order status and the app keeps on increasing the delivery time. Not acceptable at all. The worst delivery app I have ever used! NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!

Do not oder from Deliveroo! If you complain because the food you ordered is stone cold and needs to be reheated to avoid food poisoning, you might as well not bother. The “compensation” you get is next to nothing. I ordered for over £40 and got £9 back as a compensation.

I found a piece of sharp metal wire in my food. I reported it to Deliveroo, and while they said they would investigate, they also told me “we cannot provide you with a refund at this time.” I asked them again much later, and they said the same again - presumably the “investigation” would have been concluded at that point. They actually didn’t seem to be aware that I ever even reported in the first place. The restaurant itself even told me personally that I should get a refund and held their hands up to the error, but without deliveroo they could not issue it. Deliveroo never gave me any reason for the lack of refund. To reiterate - I found a piece of sharp metal wire (from a grill brush, most likely) in my food. It was in my mouth when I found it. It could have caused serious internal injury, and they just did not care. I provided photographic evidence and everything. Because they didn’t give me a reason, I can only assume they wouldn’t refund me because I had had another recent refund for some undercooked food. It looks like if you have one issue with a restaurant, it invalidates any issues you might have soon after that. But I order a lot, so it’s not surprising that eventually I would have two issues close together. I’m sure they claim to care a lot about customer health and safety, but the reality is they just don’t. I was met with cold indifference at every stage of the procedure, by every person who spoke to me. Nobody engaged with the issue, and it looks like they didn’t even file a report or do an investigation, or even contact the restaurant. This wasn’t an issue of food quality or anything trivial - it was something that could have put me in the hospital. So, since I have absolutely no recourse within their customer service system, all I have left to do is share my experience publically, cancel my Deliveroo Plus membership and delete my account, presumably costing them much more in future revenue from me than the refund ever would have cost them. A shame, as I used the app multiple times every week, but thankfully there are alternative services.

Delivery driver for Deliveroo rung me and asked for pin code, I gave it to him and said I would call my uncle and let him know it was at the door, in a matter of 2mins he went to the door and no delivery, won't be compensated as he was given the code, which they say is given when delivered, can't believe it, don't take the delivery drivers word, haven't got money to throw away. Never using again. Thanks Marta/deliveroo for a non delivery with payment taken.
