IKEA promotes an offer of $25 off when you open up an IKEA credit card and make a first purchase of $25+. So I applied for the card many months ago and it took almost 2 months to receive it. I promptly made a $25+ purchase but still have not received the $25 off. I have called several times but the representatives seem to have no knowledge of this offer (which is on their website) and all basically giving me the run-around. So I will be cancelling this card and certainly would not recommend IKEA or their card! Don’t get taken in by their false offers!

Buying packages with missing parts and then going through hell to get some customer service to get the parts needed. At the store they have no system to find anything, on the phone it's even worse. I'm waiting over 4 weeks now for parts and everyone you talk to has a different answer.

Ordered online and paid for home delivery. IKEA supplied me with a delivery window of 4 hours (1130-1530) and stated that this would be updated on the day of delivery. Guess what? No update. No delivery. After waiting in all day. To add insult to injury, when I called their comically titled 'Customer Care' number, I was put 'on hold' with the usual grossly distorted music deliberately selected to force the caller to give up and end the call. After 12 minutes That's what I did. These clowns have had their last order from me. I only gave them one star because zero wasn't an option. The inept delivery guys have turned up now at my door at 1630 and when I challenged him as to why he was late, he got all belligerent and defensive, saying one of his vans had broken down. No apology given for the lack of updates, nor the tardiness of their delivery. All in all, a thoroughly disappointing experience.

Placed my first order with IKEA, BIG MISTAKE ! I paid 20€ for the delivery of a 600€ order that was supposed to be delivered in 7 days, which is already bad considering that most furniture shops offer free 3-5 day delivery. On the 7th day at 8 AM I receive a call from the courier to let me know that he's about to deliver my parcels, I thought that was right on time. However, few hours later he calls to tell me that they made a mistake and forgot to load my parcels into the van. Inconvenient of course, but mistakes happen and he told me he would come the next day and that was fine. The next day I waited until 4 PM when I received another call from the same guy telling me that my parcels were the only transport to my city and there was no point to come to my address just for me, but they will deliver the next day (again). 2 or 3 hours later I receive another call from IKEA informing me that there was an issue with the dispatch of my order and that I should expect it to arrive in another 6 days. I canceled the order and now I can only hope I'm getting my money back. Their customer service don't care to help you either. Complete garbage, my first and last order, that they couldn't even deliver. Will never in my life order from them again and everytime I meet someone who is considering buying even a single thing from IKEA, I will make sure they change their mind. There's better shops that sell good, quality furniture and actually offers good customer service, go find those shops and stay away from IKEA.

IKEA costumer services is an absolute JOKE and Sh@t show . I bought 3G worth of cupboards and paid for installation . a month later with daily contact with IKEA customer services , being bullied , lied to , cancelled without notice was informed they are not responsible for the installer canceling or not informing me as the installer they provided paid for by me was a third party and i can deal with them directly . I called every morning to get an update , took days off work to wait from 7-5pm as they could give me a time and WHAT A JOKE . Stay away from IKEAS as there is no care after you have paid . No one from any where local or regional gives a hood about your complaints

Ikea Vaughan location is absolutely horrible. A word of advice. If you are buying some thing, make sure you were going to keep it! Because the returns at the store take anywhere between 40 to 1 hour! Do not think you can go on your lunch! Imagine I went in a Monday at 4pm and my wait was 40 min for a return. A woman there was waiting an hour she told me. I asked to speak to a manager, and the girl at the desk was extremely rude and said she was the manager and said come back another time??? Seriously that is the way a manager is going to respond? Absolutely disgusting let me tell you one thing like I told the manager it is absolutely unacceptable! I have never ever had to wait more than 40 minutes to return an item at any other store. Needless to say, I will definitely not return to IKEA. This return put a very stale taste in my mouth. DO NOT GO TO VAUGHAN IKEA!!!

Great products but customer service not good at all. I’ve been waiting for 30 minutes now to get some help to put a wardrobe in my car. Took me 5 mins to get the product and grabbed someone to put it on a trolley but now there are 2 people at the desks and about 25 people waiting. It’s terrible service

I ordered some ikea furnitures online and opt for delivery and assembly. My timing for the delivery was 9am to 1pm. At 1:45pm they have not arrive, I called in ikea and informed us that they will reach within 10mins. One hour later they still have not arrive. Only reach my place at 3:45pm!! Was so fed up and the team was even very rude to my mother! They assembled halfway and left the place to say they need to fetch their friend. Brought another friend over after 30 minutes later and they talked very rudely to us! Even though the items was fixed but their service was terrible.

They opened a case for me and said that it would be resolved in a week. Here we are two months later, and it is still not resolved. Their customer service told me to STOP contacting them for updates, as if there are any, they will contact me. So if there are none, I should just patiently keep waiting till I die.

DO NOT trust their delivery timeslot. I chose the timeslot to be 1PM-7PM. The driver called me at 8:20AM. I missed it and when I called back at 9am, no one answered. Called up customer support (waited 1 hour to connect), and got told the driver is already too far to drive back and I have to reschedule two days later. Seriously???

On 1/14/23 I drove over 3 hours to get to the store in Charlotte. Expected and was not surprised to meet a crowd. I have been several times before. I came specifically to buy a table and 4 chairs. I found the table with no problem (until checkout) No chairs except 2 on display that they would not sell even though the website says there are 2 in stock. If they are in stock, why can't I buy them!! I stood in the very long line. only to get my items rung up and go to pay and am told" I can't take your cash, this is a card line only" He then went on to explain he was pull up there to check out and they hadn't had "time" to put up a card only sign. the line supervisor then stood in the middle of the crowd and YELLED "this is a card only line". This is when I then discovered not only was I expected to go to another line, But in IKEA speak a number one on the box means there are 2 boxes to my table and " did I get the second box?" Was there any thing on the bin that told be I needed to pick up 2 boxes? of course not. The cashier politely mentioned he would bring that up at the meeting... I asked the line supervisor to please get the second box as I had been in line a long time and I do have some physical issues. I was rudely informed that not only was she not going to do it but they didn't have anyone else to go. You know even at the Family Dollar when you buy a plastic tub, there's a sign that says "don't forget the lid".. If I've got to have another whole box to build my table it'd be nice to know it before I got to the register. Because I complained they did get me over to another line where other people had to wait for me to get checked out. I left there with no table, no chairs. and I will think long and hard before I make a 6 hour round trip back to IKEA. It's all about service.. YOU ARE NOT TO BIG TO FAIL.

Just served oatmeal cookies to my friends and we all found what looked like slivers of wood in them. Each one of us kept picking stuff out of our mouths and then realized we were all getting small pieces of wood slivers. I will never but any food item again. If this is any indication how they make things, no thanks. I feel sick just thinking about it. I think everyone should know this, if i want to eat wood, i'll decide when and where. If I could give this review a negative one million i would.

NEVER and I mean NEVER plan for IKEA to honor their delivery schedule. After meticulous planning and logistics for a garage project, the delivery situation is/was a nightmare. No one knows anything, it takes ages to get someone on the phone and the third-party delivery team is worthless. Don't assume you will receive your delivery when promised, expect to be highly disappointed and to waste a significant amount of time trying to fix the problem yourself with no sympathy from IKEA. I will NEVER purchase anything from IKEA again after this experience.
