“Run as far as you can. After being charged almost as much to ship the product as the cost of the product itself, they dropped off the face of the planet. The order apparently arrived in our area, had some kind of transport issue, and we never got a straight answer weeks later. Now customer service just won’t responding and I’m exploring options to get my money back for fraud. Just DO NOT do business with this company.”

We certainly understand your frustration. We are frustrated with this experience as well. The state of the shipping industry is extremely strained and this situation was certainly extreme. While we manufactured and sent on schedule, extended delays caused by the shippers and misinformation given to us by the shipping companies involved have created this issue. While we have been responding promptly and doing our best to communicate the information and updates we have been given, we understand the impact that the delay and the lack of clarity of the updates has had on you. As a small company, we have built our success on excellent service from the first contact onward. It is difficult when the industries that we rely on to get our product safely to our customers prevent us from meeting that standard. We certainly understand that this situation is not the way things should go and will continue to monitor this until it is safely delivered.

“Excellent, as expected. The less unexpected included: dealing with multiple (very available) Indow folks, each specializing in a stage; good appearance, low weight, and flexible borders of insets; heavy packaging delivered to the foot of our long drive in Canada. At times, how to access instructions was not obvious. The lack of heft meant that I could install large insets by myself. We are pleased and would do it again without question.”

“I was pleasantly surprised how well the inserts worked at reducing sound. At least a 50 to 70% reduction. Hannan on the sales team and Kelly with sales support, were amazing!!”

“They work very well. Sound level from the street was lowered way down to make it barely noticeable. My complaint is the lead time to get them made is 7 weeks and the cost. I’m going to have to create my own sound screen with another 7 or 8 windows to go”

Joel, Thanks for the review. We are happy to hear that the inserts have helped to significantly reduce the street noise. We certainly recognize the concern about lead times. We have made steady improvement in these regards as supply chain issues have eased. Our current lead times have dropped to 4-6 weeks from date of order. Many DIY solutions have indeed proven effective and we wish you well in these pursuits. I will note that many DIYers return to us when they cannot recreate the performance and elegance of our design. “My window inserts significantly reduced road noise and have improved my sleep. Phil and the whole team were great throughout the entire process. I never felt pressured to buy. I received helpful information and great follow up, but never felt like I had to decide right there and then. The process was very smooth. I wish I had made the decision earlier. I highly recommend!”

“My house, a small one-story bungalow built in 1917, has 8 double hung windows and 5 smaller windows in a sun room. For 12 years, I used plastic shrink-wrap insulation. This summer I spoke with Indow Windows and decided to take the plunge. Seven weeks later, my inserts are installed. I could not be more pleased. They look terrific, for one thing. Customer service was stellar (and astoundingly patient). Installation was straightforward, even if nothing in this little house is precisely square, and fairly easy. It took a bit longer than suggested, but not that much. No freezing overnight temperatures quite yet but the first night with the inserts the temperature inside was 2 degrees warmer than the previous night without them. This speaks volumes for me. I can't wait to see the difference when I finally crank up the furnace on November 1. The investment was a sizable one for me but an excellent one worth every penny. Thank you, Indow !”

“Our house is all glass with seven-foot single pain windows. The concern was the inserts would obstruct or diminish the look of the windows. Truth is, they fit well and look great. We haven't hit winter yet to let you know the change in room temperature.”

“Indow was very easy to work with. For having found them on the Internet using a Google search, and given how much the inserts cost, I was nervous, to say the least. Turns out to be a respectable U.S. manufacturer following stringent repeatable process, very responsive to customer questions, leveraging technology in extremely effective ways to make the measuring and purchase process as seamless (or gap-free, I should say) as possible, and providing a high-quality product that truly delivers on its promise. In my case, the goal was to reduce road noise, and the inserts did not disappoint. Bit of a manufacturing lag, but I would say that is probably a happiness problem for the company. Nowhere near as long as it takes, say, Rivian to deliver a car after you order from them.”

Second, we certainly appreciate you mentioning the service and process successes you experienced. We are committed to providing informative and effective service from first engagement forward. It is always great to hear that our efforts are recognized. Regarding the timeline in manufacturing, we recognize that we have not been able to return to pre-pandemic levels, but we are doing everything we can to get back there and beyond in terms of lead times. We now stand at 5-6 weeks from order date. We count this as quite an accomplishment due to the periodic and sustained interruptions in supply chain and staffing during this period. The state of delivery services (especially freight) has certainly provided great challenges in getting things out to our customers in a timely manner. While we do not have direct control over those logistical aspects, we are continuing to find ways to work with shipping partners to decrease delivery times. While we appreciate your level of understanding, we also look forward to improved conditions that will not require it of our customers. Thanks again for the feedback.

“These window inserts absolutely block the drafts from my old windows. They also reduce noise and they look nice when I notice them at all. Some of the panels I bought are quite large and they recommend two people to work with them, but they have a clever design that was fun to work with and I got it. I am glad I bought these.”

“Indow was very easy to work with. We had a great rep who was able to answer any questions we couldn't figure out on our own by looking at their website or the materials they sent to us. They have made a difference in our rooms' temperatures and really proved themselves when we had the house power washed, and loads of water and gunk got caught between the outside windows and the Indows! A real testament to their insulating power. My only objection is that the color choices are limited and we have some funky-colored windows.”

“Our experience with Indow was entirely positive. The product was clearly and accurately described. After looking at information on the web we had a few questions about the products and process, but these were answered by the customer service representative. The measuring kit and procedure were clear and easy to follow. There was excellent attention from Indow throughout. The inserts arrived within the schedule that was described, and the fit on all eight windows was perfect. I'm impressed that Indow seems to have made the process as fool-proof as possible.”
