“First, the communication was very professional and on time. Was periodically receiving updates on how the order is progressing. The inserts themselves are of good quality, fit fine in the window and provide pretty good sound isolation. Pretty satisfied with how Indow managed and delivered the order.”

“Measuring was the hardest part of the process, but once that was done, it's been easy. Installation would have been easier if I had help, but I actually did it by myself and it was fine. We've had a fairly cold winter for us, so I was very glad to have my inserts in before the first cold snaps! It's obvious the materials are very high quality and should last a very long time. I'm very pleased with the Indow inserts!”

While our inserts are indeed designed to be easily self-installed, it is often helpful to have an extra set of hands, especially for larger inserts. Thanks also for mentioning the durability. “I live near a freeway and the Indow windows decreased the noise level significantly. They also keep the house better insulated, for us an extra benefit!”

“Excellent product ! Ordering, measuring and waiting for them was a bit daunting but after installing them I’m very pleased. The measuring device is not shaped so it facilitates a steady aim of the beam, so I was concerned about my accuracy. But the inserts all seem to fit their designated spots. Also I had to tape the battery compartment shut. I hope the photos below are what I picked as I can’t review them or add comments. The haze you see is from 2 layers of dirty 100 year old glass! You can’t tell the inserts are even there! Which is the point.”

“I have lived with the inserts for a few weeks now. I can't say the sound reduction has been significant. The sound of a basketball hasn't really been reduced. I fear for summer and cornhole as they probably won't help with that sound. It is disappointing considering the cost involved.”

All sound situations are unique and sometimes sounds can enter through other areas than the window openings. That said, we would be happy to troubleshoot the fit of the inserts to ensure you are maximizing the performance.

“I purchased these inserts to reduce the noise transmission in my bedroom from my neighbor's pool pump and late-night parties. They have performed as advertised. The reduction in noise is outstanding and I would recommend these inserts to anyone seeking relief from a similar issue.”

“I got two acoustic inserts for my music room to prevent sound from escaping into the neighborhood (if you're a drummer, you know). There's no silver bullet for things like this, but the inserts did make a difference, and there's less outside noise coming IN to the room now too. They were a little pricier than I would have liked, but the quality is there and customer service was great throughout the entire process. Overall, I would recommend and I plan on purchasing more in the future for my home office.”

“Such a great investment. My wife and I wanted to keep our original antique windows, and we were using plastic film to "insulate" our windows. However, the plastic would wrinkle and look messy, and aren't the greatest insulation. So we got Indow Windows to match the style of our home. The inserts are gorgeous and make our home more energy efficient, and I didn't get them for noise reduction, but it is a pleasant surprise and benefit. The inserts are easy to install, especially with their YouTube tutorials. Finally, with the global supply chain issues, they set expectations on delivery date from the outset, and were right on time with their ETA, while always keeping us up to date on our order status. Great company with great customer service. I highly recommend Indow Windows.”

“We love our indows. We live next to a train and each time the train pulls away, we used to hear the electric engine whine. With Indows, it's like nothing is there. We ended up getting them on every single window in our house. Thank you!”

“Disappointed. I bought 6 window inserts for my bedroom and living room that face a busy street. I don’t feel like they have made any difference, and possibly have made some sounds slightly louder than before. I’m not sure if having larger windows is why they don’t work as advertised, but after spending a lot of money on these I don’t think they were worth it at all. Also, if you have larger windows you will need two people to install them. I had to have my sister fly in for a visit to help me, which is annoying since they don’t even work. And on top of that I still have to figure out how to get rid of the large wood/cardboard packing materials they were delivered in.”

We are happy to help you troubleshoot the fit of the windows to ensure we are maximizing the noise reduction properties. Every sound environment is indeed unique, with sound sometimes entering through areas other than the window openings. In these cases, other soundproofing measures may be necessary. Thank you for pointing out that larger windows may require an extra set of hands. While our inserts are lightweight, it is useful to have another person available for larger inserts. As to the packing material, most areas offer convenient recycling for the cardboard and wood material in our packaging. For those options, you should check with your local municipality for offerings. We appreciate the feedback and certainly would appreciate the opportunity to ensure you are getting the most out of the inserts.

“The product itself is great, but the dealer I used- Darren O'Brien of Big Red Builders was terrible. Shalen Parker of Indow was helpful, he at least apologized for the terrible service and misinformation I was getting. I always thought someone somewhere along the line should have offered a discount or something- there was never any material offer to make the situation right.”
