The customer service was great, but the wait time was obviously insane. I know it’s not your fault, but the emails leading up to the delivery were really confusing. It was hard to know if I was getting new information or just repeated information, sometimes an email was a mix of both old and new info and they were very long. The delivery was almost infeasible without an elevator and a walk up. The product is doing what it said it would though, and it was more affordable than the competition.

The lead time has been way too long. I was told they were shipped, I received this survey and I STILL DO NOT HAVE the Storm Windows.

Supply chain issues have indeed persisted longer than expected and the strained state that shipping providers find themselves in has made things especially frustrating for all involved. My bedroom window backs up to train tracks. The train honking happens at all hours of the day/night and is loud that it makes my house shake. Before I got my Indow inserts I wasn’t able to sleep through the night, even though I had modern double-paned windows. The sound is still audible but sounds way more faint and distant. Huge increase in my quality of life, so I’m loving my inserts!

The inserts do a good job. As well as can be expected. If they could block the sound of muscle cars and motorcycles, they'd be perfect.

Because sound environments vary and different frequencies behave differently, it is indeed difficult to achieve noise reduction "perfection." However, while noise can be finicky, the considerable dose of quiet our inserts can provide makes a big difference.

Thanks for the feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are not experiencing the noise reduction you expected. All sound situations vary depending on construction materials used in the building and the nature of the sound. Often sound can travel through areas other than the window openings. This, of course, would necessitate other sound mitigating methods. That said, we are happy to troubleshoot the fit of your inserts to ensure that you are maximizing the noise reduction properties of the inserts.

This a DYI process from start to finish, and I have yet to finish. I ordered 16 inserts, I wish I had not. The amount of time and energy to measure the windows not once, but twice to assure accuracy is tiring. A 225 lb crate arrived, that the freight driver would only drop in front of my home. It was raining. The cardboard was ripped, but the windows were intact. I inspected each one. The windows are strewn around my house because they are too big and awkward for me to insert alone. I am searching for a friend for this project phase. Am I happy? I don't know. The product looks reasonable, but the process is a bear and I likely would have gone in a different direction had I understood these important nuances.

We have strived to make our guarantee-backed measuring process as straight forward as possible with instructions and measurement support available. We understand that this process takes time and effort. Some of our customers who are especially pressed for time have elected to have a handyperson assist them. Because this process has been so successful in ensuring our guaranteed snug fit, we remain committed to it. Order came in sooner than expected. Installed them and they all fit. I no longer hear the dogs at before the sun AM!! The delivery was dissapointing. They never called to set up a time for me to be home. I work from home. the company deleiverd while I was home, never rang the door bell/car was in driveway. It was raining. A neighbor came over to tell me about the delivery. Crate was damaged but contents were okay.

The overall construction is not bad though the sound reduction aspects as advertise is pretty underwhelming. While it helps damper normal noise (talking, birds, low ambient noise) it does nothing for cars/motorbikes or distance trains/planes.

All sound environments are indeed different, with many factors such as wall construction/materials, etc. Also, low frequencies (due to the properties of the sound wave) are the most difficult to mitigate and can travel though areas other than the window openings. The Indow noise cancellation insert works like a magic. My office now is like a different world than before. The only downside is I waited over three months to get it.

I love them they perform great. I took two pictures, one where the sun it the floor through a window before install and one where the sun hit the floor through the Indow. These windows are about two feet apart. The regular window’s temperature was 102 degrees, the Indow window 78 degrees. I’m very happy.

I was so excited to get my noise reduction indow windows. We have a freight train that runs behind our house. After waiting 3 1/2 months we finally got our windows. They were delivered without any issues. We followed the installation instructions. All the windows fit like they should, except for one, the most important one, our BEDROOM! That insert seemed a little off. It did not fit as snug as the rest. After a month with the windows, we find that the train noise is muffled. By no means is the noise totally cancelled out. At first I was disappointed, there’s really not much we can do at this point. It is what it is. At least I’m not being woken up by the train at night. I can now hear the TV when a train goes by. So I guess the windows are doing the best they can for our situation. I won’t know how much energy we are saving yet. We live in Florida. Next summer will be telling.

Professional and responsive business. Product is well made and easy to install. Final appearance is unobtrusive. Performance at this point is unknown and will be determined over time. Suggestion: Use a lower tack adhesive on the protective shipping film

Although it took more than 3 months to receive the windows due to the pandemic, we finally received and installed, the noise were significantly reduced and my daughter was very appreciated when we self installed in her room.

Customer service is terrible. I had a virtual consultation. I thought I understood the question about frame depth but I did not. After receiving the laser kit I realized the window depth wasn’t substantial for the insert unless I removed the Roman shade; nor could I move the shade to accommodate the fit without it looking odd. I returned the kit to Indow and then was told for my stupidity I was would be charged $50 for shipping. When I asked about this charge being removed I was told no. Really awful customer service. If you are going to use virtual consults then you have to anticipate some errors. I guess anything to make a few bucks at the expense of the customer. Be really careful before ordering the kit.

This process also includes the information regarding the processing fee (to cover two-way priority shipping and handling costs of the laser-measuring kit) should the customer, as in your case, not proceed to order after measurement. For those who proceed to order, the full deposit is credited toward the order.
