“The sound reduction is fantastic on our acoustic window insert. We live on a busy road and had a very large 3-window length insert made and it fits fantastic and does an amazing job. It helps my wife sleep at night and that was worth every penny.”

“So far, so good. I really need to wait for the winter months to see how well they buffer the cold drafts. I haven't seen any difference in taking the edge off the heat as was suggested.”

“I had 9 inserts made, with 3 going into one large window. Six work just fine. I found the corner fit, finish and material at the corners and pillar areas problematic for some inserts. One compression side piece split at the corner, one inside corner had separated, and the compression was not adequate to totally seal around the pillars top and bottom anchors. They all look very good in our windows.”

Jeff, Thanks for reaching out. It appears that you may have some fit and possible condition issues with your inserts. Based on the info you here, the fit issues are covered by our SungFit guarantee and the condition issues would most likely be covered by our limited lifetime warranty. We are reaching out to you and will have our case coordinator work with you on both issues. We are happy to hear the other 6 inserts are working well and are certain that, with the help of our case coordinator, the other 3 will work as designed.

“I ordered the inserts because I’ve moved and the first thing I noticed in my new home is that there was a big construction close to my house. The inserts have really helped a lot with noise reduction and I’m happy to finally enjoy my new home.”

“I do not hear any of the neighbors dogs we have to get used to it being quiet cut out all the noise we don’t hear anything It’s one of the best things that we have done to our home the only problem is you don’t hear the crickets anymore and the thunder”

“Customer service is very good. Informed, smart, communicative representatives helped me from initial inquiries, measuring, ordering and a post install issue with a chain location. The window inserts are as sound proof effective as marketed. They don’t 100% reduce outside street noise, but they have made my home livable. Inserting them myself (I’m 61 and very petite) was doable - any my inserts are large! My husband, who was initially against ordering the inserts due to the relatively high cost, is now glad we bought them. I likely will order more for additional rooms.”

“Overall, the inserts are great, but it is a tedious process. If you have a lot of large windows, the measurement process is pretty painful. I wish they would partner with TaskRabbit or someone to have local certified folks to help measure and install. Customer service is excellent and very responsive though! The inserts themselves arrived in great condition and all fit perfectly, which is pretty amazing since I had 6 large windows. Soundproofing was about as I had expected. Excellent for higher frequencies, not so much for lower frequencies. The window corners do not insert quite right, but I was able to workaround that issue. Overall though, the windows are doing their job and helping us and our baby get some sleep in a noisy neighborhood!!”

Although the measuring process works easily for the majority of situations, we encourage those who need assistance to work with a local handyperson or enlist a service such as Task Rabbit. “They do not work. You cannot see through them at all. I can still hear everything. I am going with Citiquiet to get a better product so you might want to do this too.”

Rachel, Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. We are concerned by your response, both about the lack of performance you have reported and the visibility. Because our inserts have been independently tested to reduce sound coming through the window areas, we would like an opportunity to work with you to ensure proper placement and fit, as these are usually the causes for reduced performance. Regarding visibility, our inserts are made with optical grade acrylic (clearer than glass). They do ship with a semi-opaque protective film that would need to be removed. Perhaps this was not removed as instructed? We will reach out separately to discuss both fit/placement and to ensure the film has been removed properly. While all sound situations are unique, we believe strongly that with a bit of troubleshooting, we can ensure the sound reduction available in your situation can be maximized.

“We put a total of 4 Blackout Indow Inserts in to 3 windows in our Master bedroom. The center window was too wide to use a single insert. I was given an excellent explanation by the Indow sales consultant, Martin, about how the mullion bar would work, prior to deciding to proceed with requesting the laser measuring kit. Our Master bedroom is on the back of our home, which has a very busy major street running behind it, and also happens to be on the west/sun-setting side. I have always encountered frustrations installing curtain rods and even then, blackout curtains seem to still let in more light than my wife and I wanted. The Blackout Indow Inserts have addressed the light issue so much better than any blackout curtains ever could. The sound reduction from the traffic and a significant temperature reduction in our bedroom are bonus aspects to these investments in our home. The Inserts were easy to press in to place and fit perfectly. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the results and highly recommend Indow Window Inserts”

“We initially ordered one Indo set for the den and compared the heat loss with the windows without the inserts. There was a very distinct difference in the amount of heat loss and no condensation or ice buildup on the Indo. We ordered the rest of the Indo’s and received them this summer. I’m convinced we will see a very distinct difference in heat loss and the house being more comfortable. They also look nice”

“Love the window inserts I ordered. Perfect fit. Crystal clear views. Immediately upon installing noticed the house feeling less drafty. Noise reduction was impressive. With the extreme heat right now, we noticed that the house was not as humid and warm. Would definitely recommend if you own an older home.”

“Found Indow on the internet while searching for noise reduction windows. Indow Customer satisfaction guaranteed. Indow stayed on top of things even the shipping of the measurement kit. Upon arrival, my contractor friend was surprised at how well the inserts were individually packaged and he could see the quality of the workmanship in each insert. He was impressed! And even more surprised by how easy to be installed. There are three HVAC units in one area. Our noise level now is "What noise I do not hear anything." Will need to invest the same for our kitchen windows. A great product few know about.”
