“We live in a newly renovated condo, but the windows in the unit were not replaced. The windows are from the 1980"s. We ordered the Indows for a room with North facing windows . . . very cold and drafty! The indows made a huge difference in the temperature in the room. They blocked out the cold and drafts! Before the room was almost not usable without blankets while sitting watching TV. NOW! it is great! Thanks”

“I expected more noise reduction from the insert. It isn’t sound proof.”

Francesca, Thanks for the feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are not experiencing the sound reduction you had hoped for. We will reach out to you and ensure fit and placement is not affecting the performance. As all sound situations are unique, there are many variables that can contribute to sound entering a room. While our inserts have been proven independently to significantly reduce sound through the window openings, it is sometimes necessary to utilize other soundproofing measures in conjunction with our inserts to achieve the desired results. Variables such as wall and home construction materials and the proximity and nature of the sound can be at play and can transfer sounds through areas other than the windows. Low frequency sounds are especially hard to mitigate as they can be transferred through walls, etc. Once again, we are happy to help you maximize the performance of your inserts and will reach out accordingly. It is our hope that through some troubleshooting, we can improve the sound reduction.

“I bought these windows to stop hearing my neighbors dogs' constant barking. Unfortunately we can still hear the barking, but not as loud. The upside to these inserts is.... they do an awesome job of cutting out drafts. We have an old leaky house. These inserts made the drafts from the windows non existence. I do love the inserts. Especially for the winter time.”

“I was hoping it would block more noise ( especially gas powered leaf blowers ) but it does make a difference. It was easy to install and definitely a good value for the money. Sales and service did a very good job.”

“The acoustic indow product helps but didn’t didn’t reduce the outside noise as much as I had expected. Easy to install with two people. Delivery timing was lengthy but expected.”

“So far, I have been very pleased with the windows. I got them for casement windows in a sunroom in a house that was built in 1915. The original storm windows are long gone, so for many years, it's just been a single pain window between us and cold Iowa winters. The windows went in reasonably easily and are doing the job of keeping out the cold air exceptionally well. Normally, at this time of year, these windows would frequently get lots of frost and condensation on the inside. So far, we haven't had any frost or condensation, which is a big deal for me. I will admit I was skeptical and nervous about investing so much in something I had never seen in use, but I'm glad I did.”

“Got the window for sound reduction. Didn't make much of a difference. For acoustic purposes, they need higher quality material or maybe not adverstise this for acoustic purposes.”

Although our acoustic inserts have been shown through independent tests to be effective, due to the many variables in sound environments, sometimes additional soundproofing methods must be used in conjunction with our inserts to achieve the desired results. “Definitely quieter. I wish they could be manufactured faster and shipped much quicker. We had an issue with the delivery company having the wrong phone number and delaying delivery several weeks.”

Our lead times are now 3-4 weeks from order. We are constantly looking for ways to reduce them further while maintaining the excellent quality that we are known for. The shipping industry has been under tremendous strain and, though conditions are improving, we are still seeing issues with delayed delivery. “We are beyond HAPPY with out Indow Inserts. We have 41 original 1959 single pane casement windows. Although the windows are in great shape they are still single pane. We got 3 quotes from window companies and the quotes ranged from 153K - 92K. Needless to say we were looking for other options. The process from beginning to end was Amazing. We contacted Indow and made a video appointment with Hannah. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Once we decided to move forward we received our measuring kit with samples of the inserts. We were very impressed with the materials and how easy it was to measure all 41 windows!! We received our Indow inserts within 5 weeks, just in time for WI winter. They were packaged so well and they were so easy to install. We instantly noticed a difference in the temperature of the house. We even did a test where we heated the house and then turned off the heater to see how well the inserts would maintain the heat. It performed great! We LOVE our Indow inserts. It has only been 2 weeks we have had them, but almost every day we say how happy we are we got them. Thank you Indow!”

“With new Indow inserts, 16 windows around our sunroom no longer rattle in the wind or allow cold drafts through! These are way better than previous wood-framed plastic film and foam inserts. They look great in a remodeled 1800s farmhouse in Maine. Directions for laser measuring helped make perfectly fitted inserts. Packaged so well the crushed corner of the box didn't harm the inserts at all. Packaged so well, it took considerable time to unpack! Then inserting went smoothly- good instructions written and video combined. On sunny days, the sun streams through, warming this fairly large room. We look forward to the test of January cold! It was important for us to communicate with the delivery service and get help from neighbors with a fork lift because the crate could not come in our half mile forested gravel drive. In the spring we will need to figure out how to store them protectively. All in all - VERY happy with Indow.”

“Excellent product, well made. Fit perfectly. Very expensive and took too long to receive. I object to the company charging me two months prior to shipping the items. Customers should not be charged until the work begins, at the earliest.”

“I will start by saying this, As one can imagine with every product out there we as consumers have to make a leap of faith when purchasing a new type of product. Even with the well put together kit and other marketing materials for me there was a little doubt. Fortunately today 12/16/2022. My family and I are very happy with the purchase. Our home is a 1930s house and we didn’t want to defile it with modern windows. Indow solved this problem and then some. Highly recommend and we will be doing more business in the future.”

“Luckily I had help measuring the inserts, I'm metric so 21/32 as a measure didn't mean anything to me. But once we received the inserts, installing them was a breeze.”

“We live in a circa 1840 residence with the original windows. The Indow window system provided both insulation and soundproofing to deal with the traffic noise in front of our house. After careful measurements, the Indow windows were produced to custom-fit our windows and marked for easy reference and installation. We were able to install five window inserts in a single evening. The Indow window system combines both functionality and aesthetics. We're very happy with the system and plan to order more.”
