This was a very useful and full report. The criticisms were justified with clear reasons, most of which I would have to agree with as being points where I felt uneasy when reading this (first) draft. There was also quite a lyrical interpretation of the theme of the story which I found quite moving as well some intriguing suggestions as to the further development of the script. The analysis of the script's marketability was detailed and in line with my expectations when writing. It was reassuring to know that the reader and I were in agreement on the kind of the audience the script was aimed at. My criticism of the report. I felt that the a closer reading of the dialogue might have answered some of the questions raised by the reader. On the whole though it was worth the money, and I'd recommend this service to any screenwriter who wants a realistic, industry standard appraisal of their work.

This was our first use of Industrial Scripts and based on our experience we would be very comfortable in recommending their services. Key points from our perspective include: Speedy service, a well structured and well written review, recommendations were practical, well documented and referenced and clearly the reviewer had read the script in great detail In our view - excellent value for money.

I mostly use Project Screening Service from Industrial Scripts because the professionals there always go beyond the call of duty in their analysis and I regularly get more than I bargain for. The depth in which my submissions are analyzed, even in the short form of Project Screening Service is surprising and has left me overwhelmed the first time I received it. I've tried other script doctors before, but I really don't need my work pampered, I need an honest and downright opinion on what my script's chances are on today's market and that's exactly what I got from Industrial Scripts, along with sound suggestions on how to improve my work, even at treatment level. If anybody asks me, I will always recommend these guys.

Would definitely recommend Industrial Scripts. Having used a lot of script consultancy services they remain one of my top rated due to their professionalism, the range of services and their up to date knowledge of the industry. Found their I also think their Talent Connector is a brilliant idea and have had a couple of contacts with producers off the back of being listed on it. I Have also found their project screening service very helpful and have wondered why more consultancies don't offer it.

I was very pleased with the editor's report because he/she really understood the work and my intentions. Not only that, but the suggestions made to improve aspects of the script were well thought-through and very helpful. One thing I wanted to mention specifically: the editor understood (without prompting) that Michael X was not the protagonist. This may seem like a small thing but if I had a pound for every time a reader, used to reading linear structured screenplays, had made the mistake of confusing the protagonist with the subject matter, I'd be a very rich man! I've worked hard to develop the Rachael (protagonist) character within the framework of a double-narrative and structurally, Michael acts as a mentor antagonist to her. So because the editor understood this, his analysis was of much greater value than others' I've had in the course of the script's development. Other aspects of his/her analysis that stood out include the suggestion I build on the Natalie/Desiree juxtaposition. I've begun this work in this draft and there's scope to take it further. Also, the suggestion I make some of the flashback sequences a little more goal-oriented. I can do this, it's a good idea, and the editor's right to point out it tends to be one of the issues with biopics generally. In fact, most of the ideas for improvement I do agree with and will act on. I resisted putting Michael up on the stand in the trial for 2 main reasons 1) I wanted to retain an element of enigma about him right up till the end. For me, this allows the audience greater scope to come to their own conclusions about the man. I didn't want to lay my own views on too thick. I actually think he didn't do it (the murders) but he probably knew about it and, but for his depressive state at that point in his life, could probably have stopped it. I agree that If I build up a bit more of a picture of his life in Arima (through the Parmassar witness) this will come across more. He's actually quite Kurtz-like in Trinidad. It's like a big part of him died when he left London so he's like an empty shell compared to the man he used to be. But there is scope in the scene where Rachael finally confronts Michael (in the van) to get more of his POV on the murders. I'm toying with the idea of him actually saying 'I wasn't there' and this having both a literal and metaphorical meaning. 2) He actually wasn't allowed to take the stand in the real trial and this was part of the state's refusal to allow any evidence that would contradict their star witness (in reality there were two, Parmassar and Abbott and I merged them). Thanks once again, it's been very helpful and I'm really looking forward to further honing the script. William Dingli (14/02/14)

I am greatly satisfied with my screenplay report from Industrial Scripts, I was much too cocky before I submitted it, but the much needed professional and generous feedback has put me on track to writing a far better project, there is no better people to send a screenplay to, great service!

Asked for a project overview of a script idea and was promised a 100 word reply. I actually got a reply of over 300 words! Now that doesn't happen very often in todays world of business. It was my first idea and first attempt in this field and I found the report clear, concise and very encouraging. This has been a fantastic and positive experience for me and one that I will repeat.

I received my script coverage promptly and was very impressed by the level of thought, experience, attention to detail and genre knowledge that it showed. It flagged up several issues I was aware of [ but in denial over ] and one that somehow I'd completely missed. As well as pointing out issues they suggested possible solutions . If you want praise ask a family member, if you want the honest truth and the tools to fix stuff I'd use these guys. I will certainly use them on my next script, to help me build a better beast. If I was a production company, I wouldn't hesitate to get them to double-check my slate.

What's a frigging protagonist? Industrial Scripts taught me to work harder on developing the conflict my protagonist experiences. Yes I'm a beginner. Who isn't until they've begun. Now I've progressed to rank amateur. It really was, and is, valuable to get feedback and help from these people at Industrial Scripts. I recommend you make them part of your script writing process.

Happy with the feedback received so far. It made me think more and see with fresh eyes. Also it's nice when the report is bigger than expected and I like the way its written. Its not only constructive, its also motivating. I trust IS after they've analyzed my latest 2 scripts and I'm planning to keep asking them for help.

Without doubt the feedback from Industrial Scripts was incredibly valuable. The report writer was able to objectively focus on both the positives and negatives and the relatively small cost has probably saved us a lot of time.

Top draw analysis. Constructive and positive. Some really good suggestions in very generous 8 page report. Well worth the £125 I paid (film coverage script report) and I'll use again in the future!

Simply outstanding analysis/notes on my current draft of a major screenplay. It's given me so much ammunition for the next draft. The notes were concise and clear and made complete sense. It was written in a way that a screenwriter can easily digest…. There is an anonymity policy for the consultants which is agreeable, but if I knew the person who gave the excellent notes I'd buy them a drink!

If you want nothing but praise, Industrial Scripts aren't for you. If you want a realistic, practical evaluation of your work with quality recommendations, pay what they ask and it'll be yours. For the third time, they've done right by me. Sometimes your feedback has you in a party mood, sometimes (as with my latest) your feedback has you really rather down. That's my fault not Industrial Scripts and it's the reason I'll keep with them. When my ideas throw up a flaw in plot, premise or character, I need to know early on and that's just what I got; needed, practical identification of the problem. Fortunately, there's stuff I can work on to create a fix but as this latest report was for my 'back-up' stories, I can put them on the back burner and keep running with the treatment that did get an encouraging thumbs up last week.

I sent my screenplay to dozens of agents & production companies. When I got a reply, it was often that they only deal with professional script reading services. Several mentioned Industrial Scripts. The cynic in me smelled a rat. And an empty wallet. But I took a look and spent an hour or two reading the Industrial Scripts website. I was persuaded by what I saw, the professionalism of the site and the reasonable fees. Off went my script and my money, half in hope, half in curiosity and expecting a two paragraph summary and a goodbye note. But not at all. In a fairly speedy turnaround, I received a very comprehensive and useful analysis of my work. Also, to my amazement, I got an Honorable Mention and free entry onto their Talent Connector programme. This meant my script would be submitted for me to a wide range of agents & production companies. Probably all those who had already given me the elbow. So - an excellent service that I will be using again. Well worth the money and highly recommended.

As a producer I regularly use story editors but wanted a super-quick turnaround on one of my own scripts for some objective feedback. I was expecting a broad brush critique which touched the surface and picked up on the superficial points. Instead, I was provided with an indepth, knowledgeable analysis by someone who clearly had a strong grasp not only of the fundamentals of script, but also a clear understanding of the needs of the business. The notes were far more comprehensive than I had anticipated for such a small fee and I won't hesitate to use IS again, or indeed to recommend their services to other writers and producers.
