InterNations posts fake positive comments on Trustpilot to deceive their mafia type of operation. The company witch-hunts members who criticize their unethical practice of conducting business. I witnessed an over 70-year old senior German lady, who lives in Brussels, and who witch hunts for InterNations. She gets a free Albatros membership in return to witch hunting for InterNations. Extremely unethical company.....Stay clear!!!

InterNations' online events serve as a platform for miserable people. It is not an online platform for professional networks. Their in-person events could be much better but it all depends on a specific geographic location or the personality of a specific Council or Ambassador. The Councils and Ambassadors are just random volunteers. By being a Council they benefit free membership by voluntarily hosting events both virtually or in-person. Their online events are full of Middle Easterners, especially Turkish, Iranian, and various Arabic sub-groups. While the Middle Eastern single or widowed men look for their dates or hook-ups from non-Middle Eastern countries, the Middle Eastern women look for blonde western European men (German, English, Spanish etc) to date. So, it turns out to be an extremely miserable platform. Before the local groups used to host online events but the company stopped local groups to host virtual events. Instead, the company started a number of ludicrous Global Groups that host virtual events. And, it has turned out to be toxic competition about what nationality is the best or what civilization is the most scientific or what civilization is the most advanced etc (e.g., is it Persian civilization or Western civilization the most scientific or is it Jewish or Russians or Indians who are the most scientifically apt people etc). Because of such a toxic competition some Councils and members maliciously watch one another whom they view as a threat to their popularity or plot to harm one another when they see someone as a threat. Even the company has their own spies who maliciously watch a specific member or a specific Council if they see him or her as a threat to InterNations' unethical conduct of business. This kind of malicious practice of conducting business will certainly pay off its consequences to the company itself. There is no longevity for this kind of unethical business.

InterNations is a mafia business that exclusively relies on recruiting volunteers under the grand title of "Councils" "Ambassadors" to host events both virtually and in-person. As its virtual events are exclusively relied upon volunteers who are called as Councils and Ambassadors, some Councils host virtual events that explicitly indoctrinate a conspiracy theory. Their virtual events are poorly attended with 5-10% of attendance rate. Most of those who attend the virtual events are lonely female seniors, Middle Eastern widowed men in their 50s or 60s who are looking for their hook-ups, some old male creeps from the western countries, and some people who simply have no social skills and no social life except for attending InterNations' virtual events. There is an increased risk for those type of InterNations members who are lonely or who have mental health issues or women from developing countries to be lured into certain radicalized ideologies or certain radicalized groups such as ISIS. I have seen a female Council, for example, hosted a virtual event to hold a discussion about pornos. Soon after the discussion event, she posted another virtual event, which preaches a conspiracy theory about Iran. There is a high risk that much of such indoctrination takes places through InterNations' virtual events hosted by InterNation's random Councils and Ambassadors. InterNations recruits its Councils and Ambassadors from its regular members, which means literally anyone can become a Council and Ambassador to host virtual events. Once the regular InterNations members become a Council and Ambassador, they are exempt from the InterNations' membership fee. The company micromanages their Councils and Ambassadors, and shields their Councils from any criticisms despite their shady and risky way of organizing virtual events. This kind of shady practice of InterNations' conduct of business is even extremely risky to InterNations' own business prospects. In addition, there are many Middle Eastern widowed men (from Jordan, UAE, Algeria, and Morocco) who are in their 50s and 60s, virtually stalking women from developing countries, in particular women from East Asian or Southeast Asian countries. There are some popular members and popular Councils who virtually harass their targets whom they harbour resentment against because Councils can also attend virtual events. Mostly those members and Councils from Iran, India and Israel harass their targets in an extremely toxic and vicious way. But they're simply shielded by the company, as some of them are Councils who devote their time to host events. By accepting anyone as a member and creating many meaningless Global Groups that host virtual events, InterNations is no longer a professional network but it is just a platform for vulgar, obnoxious, and pejorative group of people who live in the bubble of InterNations. Despite the fact they have been a member of InterNations for many years, they're still single, and they're still friendless, and have no a meaningful social life outside of the bubble of InterNations. The company has no future.

The organisation takes money from my account without authorisation, and despite my having messaged in February last year explaining to them that I wanted to discontinue the membership, and receiving reassurance from their staff member Jasmine, via the InterNations Community Support Team, that they would stop charging me. I was charged over EUR100.00 last year, and again this year, when neither time did I want to be a member and I had informed them of this.

Impossible to end the account. Password is said to be insecure, dömande a new one. Nothing happens. Have received unsolicited mail, keep on coming despite blocking and reporting. Avoid.

I fullly agree with the predatory and unethical membership practices of the other reviewers. I never authorized any auto-renewal, but after I stopped paying for their useless membership (which I hadn't used anyway), and even though it's charged _in advance_, I started receiving collection letters and legal harrassments. And the best part is - you cannot cancel your subscription NOR delete your account because until you pay, there are NO such options anywhere, as the account is "disabled". Interestingly enough, they also stop providing any services, yet want to charge you for them. Unethical, and possibly illegal. Super willing to test the legality of their practice in court. Long story short - stay away from them.

Poor in every respect. Avoid at all costs. If I could give 0 stars I would. I cancelled trial period on the last day of the free trial but was still charged for the year, and a refund was refused. Aside from the shady, underhand and dubious manner of doing business, the site itself is a waste of time. They offer no meaningful opportunities to make connections at all and the vast majority of events they publicise are poorly attended. Avoid at all costs - you will find vastly superior offerings from the (free to join) groups on Facebook and other social media sites.

Don't waste your time with this company. It is a scam. They advertise that there are 2 membership levels, Basic and Albatross. This is a lie. There is no basic membership level. When you create an account it forces you to sign up for Albatross and if you don't you get nothing. You can't even read an article or go in and update your profile or delete your account or anything. I advice to not utilize this scam site as it is not legit. I had to message customer support just to get them to delete my account and it's worthless to have an account that ONLY allows you to sign up for Albatross membership.

They charge you for a yearly account renewal without any previous notice, when you contact them to clarify the situation or revert the charge, they basically tell you should have read the "fine print"... My experience with their events was quite disappointing, definitely not worth the extra cost. To make things worse, Internations bombard you daily with several emails and have NO easy unsubscribe option/button. They have more than 30 email lists which you have to individually select and unregister INDIVIDUALLY from!!! Internations is an unethical and scammy company.

Horrible. Not organized in any way. Harassed by men physically and when I contacted 'management' they were rude and blaming. Disgraceful.

Extremely rude and incompetent event hosts. Was just loudly scolded in front of everybody and kicked out because of a simple misunderstanding where two events were scheduled the same night and I was at the wrong one. Insufferable rudeness.

I give an star cause there is not the option to give a zero. Really disappointed, I feel scammed for this website first of all for fake promotions and second to decline to return my money next day after doing the payments saying that I joined for a free trial 30 days when that's not true. So I never heard about them before. Plus once on the website it's no events since Sept 2021 and it's August 2022. So of course I don't accept to pay 6 eur a month for an un aktiv place.

One of my worst experiences! They are forcing me to pay for a service that I haven’t used for months just because of their auto-renewal membership policy with no notices sent. Avoid!

I wanted to cancel my subscription but they refused to let me and threatened to take legal action and send debt collectors over €40. Seriously... Everyone, save yourself the hassle and approach someone on the streets. Don’t use this app.

Since this is a consumer-facing platform, I’m editing this post to speak directly to internations. Hopefully people will see this before they get screwed too. Internations has a long pattern of preying on customers through a deceptive annual auto-subscription model they’ve built in to their business. In it, they knowingly reach out to customers via email only AFTER the payment is due, claim they can’t process refunds, and, if you refuse payment due to this bad-faith practice, they threaten you with debt collectors. No joke. They actually do this. This is their whole MO. (My personal experience is at the bottom) TO INTERNATIONS: 1) Don’t leave fake reviews on trustpilot in an effort to make yourselves look less horrible. It’s just a display of how much contempt and how stupid you think your customers are. 2) Don’t lie about your policies in these reviews; you told me multiple times in emails that you literally could not process refunds. Were you lying to me? Yeah, you were. 3) Read your user agreement. Buried away on page 7 of the 16-page terms and conditions, you snuck in this little gem: “ The user accepts that they will receive all invoices as PDF files via their personal Membership Section on the InterNations Website. InterNations will not send a copy of the invoices also by mail to the user” LOLOLOL!!!! You hid it in the middle of a user agreement you know no one will read!!!! You know EXACTLY what you’re doing. You planned it this way. Why the hell else would that be hidden in there, but to protect yourself from liability when you steal people’s money? So you protected yourself from the very policy people are complaining about: that you happily send along an email and directly contact people when money’s owed, but not when the payment is coming due? JFC, internations, we knew you were contemptible, but we didn’t know how inept you were. Try a little harder when you’re robbing people. 5) Nearly 100 Euros! It costs nearly 100 euros for your service for a year. How many people, who couldn’t spare 100 euros, have you taken from? How many people have you done this to? You’re cruel and contemptuous. The hatred with which you treat customers, who used your service in good faith and expected good faith in return, is staggering. You’re con artists minus the charm. Just shameful. There’s much, much more, but that’s enough. Anyone who has made it this far, be forewarned: KEEP YOURSELF AND YOUR INFO FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS APP. And to you, internations: for the way you’ve treated me and the rest of your customers: may you all get a rash and may it itch for months, and when your sham of a company comes crashing down, may all of us who have been screwed by you take a brief moment to chuckle before we continue on with our lives. Adieu. MY BACKSTORY: Used the site for a couple months, then job location changed and no longer needed it. Months later, got an email saying a payment was past due from internations. Puzzling because i never got an email saying it was due to begin with. I refused, saying the policy was absurd and i don’t use the service anymore. They said payment was processed and therefore couldn’t give a refund (complete bs). Then, they literally THREATENED TO SEND DEBT COLLECTORS. Lol.

They simply only out to charge your card, not allowing customers to leave. I haven't even visited one of their events because after registering they simply didn't seem to atrackt my sort of people. Now I write this, I wonder if these were actual events.. What a rip off the fraudulent organization.

The first message I got soon after joining was from a man asking me on a date. This guy wrote such a long message, so long I was yawning by the end of it. He sounded so phony, using the same trick that every other conman uses: claiming to work for an offshore oil rigging company. This made me question the intentions of the group, since I thought they would introduce me to professionals only. Fortunately I haven't paid a single penny as I have heard some not- so- good stories about how they scam people into paying for something that never happens.
