“Initial price low, didn't unlock phone, asked for more money, I paid it then I got refused a refund when they couldn't unlock it! Thieves. Got my money back using chargeback via my bank and also reported them to their merchant provider worldpay using https://www.worldpay.com/global/support/contact-support”
“BE AWARE: Initial charges can or may be not iPhone Unlocks but a pre-order service incurring additional charges of 3-4x the intial ~$20 fee.
IF YOU HAVE BEEN misdirected and stonewalled via their support e-mail PLEASE have the matter properly identified through PayPal as "product drastically different than as advertised". I was refunded as full.”
“I am absolutely disgusted with my experience with this company and want others to know what a bandit firm they are. The website looks and feels like Apple’s website but they are not connected, they have trustpilot reviews on the website but the links are not live and I doubt the comments are real.
I signed up for an unlock as they stated all networks unlocked from £14.99. I paid £17.99 but a day later I got a bill for £142.58!!!! This is ridiculous and there is no mention of costs like this on their website otherwise I would not have wasted my £17.99.
I have written to their customer service which was a waste of time as they say the prices are on their website. They are not and they refuse to give me a refund.
I would use another company and save your money!!!”
“ordered the unlock service for 28$ since the provider was the same as what i was using and i already enabled the phone my self, i needed the icloud lock and apple activation removed, i was notified that the service was complete than they request an additional 39$ to complete the unlock service , again the phone remained locked i clearly communicated with mary that i was traveling and need the icloud unlocked and apple id reactivated, they strung me along for 7 days and my phone still is useless and they want more money not a company that i would ever recommend, i clearly requested over and over the removal of the lock form icloud and apple id and they stated five times this was completed. never was”
“If I could give this company a negative star I would. Extremely deceptive pricing tactic. I am not paying the additional 62.00 on top of the “pre-paid” amount. Go take a hike!”
“very clearly states $20 to unlock your phone. Then when they find the code they hit you with another $62 to actually release the unlock code. Very crooked how they go about this. Be prepared to get screwed and pay way more than with other companies. They say afterwards the $20 is a prepay and you wont get it back. I recommend not paying more and going with someone else. I find their deception very dishonest and non-transparent”
“I should have read the reviews first instead of falling for the fancy website.
Paid £17.99 for what I later discovered was just a "pre-order" and a couple of days later asked to pay another £41.99 to get the phone unlocked. Information on what a "pre-order" is, is hidden away so you're not aware of the additional costs unless you go through all the terms and conditions.
This is a free service at my local phone shop, instead being asked to pay nearly £60.”
“purchase an EE unlock on Friday and clearly on their website it states 1 - 24 Hours. I paid the money and waited. 24 Hours elapsed and their track order system does not work stuck on 20%. Contacted the company to be simply told our engineers are working on the infrastructure please bear with us we will update you asap. 48 Hours passed exactly the same thing nothing and same message sent again track order still on 20%. 72 Hours passed still no unlock but this time I get told " We are very sorry for the delay, unfortunately as explained in our terms of service, sometimes we can experience server delays, this affects mobile unlocking worldwide. We are doing everything we can to expedite your order.
Please note that your contract with us is for 30 days as per our terms of service accepted at the point of purchase. If we are unable to complete your unlock within this time frame and your order has not been rejected then a refund will be provided."
When I placed the order none of this was stated nor did it show up at the checkout process. This company I think is a SCAM be warned they will take your money and then mess you about. I think the good reviews on trustpilot must be fake reviews as how can a company with such good reviews that state 24hour turnarounds is stating the above. GO ELSEWHERE PEOPLE THIS COMPANY IS NOT LEGITIMATE”
“I went to https://www.iphoneapprovedunlock.com and did a request for unlocking an iPhone 6S Plus. It showed the price as $18. Next day I got an email that I need to pay another $46 to get the release code!!
I was truly surprised about the additional payment as nothing was shown on the screen when I initially ordered it. I hv reached out to PayPal to get my refund back
I would never recommend this site as it is a total scam to cheat you of your hard earned money”
“PLEASE AVOID!!!!!
After 110 days since I paid for unlocking an iPhone 7 I still receiving emails with percentages when asking for update.
When asked for refund funny part comes and they telling you a lot of "terms" to avoid doing that.
I lost £66 with them. I don`t think this company really exists.
Reported to UK Customer Care”
“Extremely disappointing service, from what was advertised to be a seamless and quick process showing only the positive reviews on their site it turned out quite the opposite. Not only was the initial 24 promise time scale exceeded to actually unlock was an additional £40 and took a further week to process.
I raised my issues and was returned with cut and paste t&cs very impersonal and not reassuring in the slightest.
Companies like this with clever marketing and small print in very jargon like language make it impossible for the average person to trust to use. Care nil. Customer service nil.”
“Paid for an unlock on 18th November and am still waiting over a month later. Numerous emails to the support team are responded to with the same copy/paste reply. I don’t consider 40 days to be imminent by any stretch of the imagination. Now having to request a refund and change network to enable me to use my phone, which according to their own term and conditions should auto refund after an unsuccessful attempt after 30 days. I don't believe I will ever get the refund. Also when you call you get a message saying they are busy please leave a message we will get back to you and the call is also yet to happen.
The last email is below threateninging further charges should I complain through my bank to get the money back.
If a dispute is raised in the form of a chargeback this will be seen as an attempt to defraud the business and we would refer you to the terms and conditions accepted at the point of purchase , please be aware that a full report on the device status will be provided along with a copy of our terms and conditions accepted at the point of purchase and issued to the relevant bank in order to challenge the dispute raised and retrieve monies. We are able to successfully recover monies in cases where payment has been reversed or charged back. An additional charge for administration costs incurred of $100 would also be demanded and recovered
Despicable company, Avoid at all costs.”
