I booked an appointment for a battery change on my Google pixel 4a, which was supposed to take 1h as per the website confirmation. There are 2 people attending, one seems to be more knowledgeable, but incredibly rude, and one who seems to have little to not knowledge at all, and maybe is in training or can only sell goods. He told me to switch off my phone, then told me not to too late, after I had already done it. Problem is, with my old battery, switching it back on was a big issue. The rude guy then told me he wouldn't be able to review my phone, "do you want the battery?" He said, bluntly. I answered yes, of course. My battery was lasting about 1h with the last update. Somehow I was able to switch my phone back on again, and the rude one starts reviewing it, checking the camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, and makes a call to voicemails. I asked him to say something before doing stuff like making calls, and he said "I wasn't sneaking, just checking the calls". He says nothing or explains anything at all, I suppose in this store is expected from the client to be able to read minds. He says "3 hours" and gives me a panflet. 3h! I obviously have no idea why and he obviously wouldn't explain. I had an appointment in the evening that I was obviously going to miss, and no way to say anything without my phone. After 2h of wasting time around London I went to ask if they'd have my phone ready soon. Rude one says the job is done but they need 1h to update with Google. Ok then, 1h more in the cold. 1h after, rude one is not there, and the other one tells me 40 more minutes. At that point I was feeling even a bit dizzy, silly me I didn't bring another card, since mine is in my phone, thinking the repair was going to take 1h. I had been walking around in the cold for 3 hours without anything to eat. I ask the guy if I can have my phone to make a call, and when he gives it to me, after looking for a good while, my phone doesn't have a sim card. I asked for it but he didn't know what I meant. I connected to a public WiFi to make my call, and meanwhile rude one comes in, points at me with his finger and says "your phone had water damage, by the way!". I honestly don't know what to do with that information, I was on a call, I live in a rainy city, and yeah, sometimes my phone gets wet...sorry? I obviously don't say that, I said ok and carried on with my conversation. I finished and asked rude guy where my sim card was. He answers the other one gave it to me already. I said he didn't and I showed him my phone with no network connection. He asks "how were you on a call with no sim card" I wondered then if that supposedly knowledgeable technician had ever heard about WiFi. He opens my sim card compartment and closes saying "you see? It's in there" and then, magic! The sim card works. It was obviously not inserted correctly, but I suppose it's my fault not carrying a needle to open my sim card compartment when I need to. I ask if I can take my phone and he dismisses me with his hand, like pointing at the door, and says "yeah, it's done". No bye, no apology about sim card, and no reason why the other guy said 40m more. I went to ask why he said 40m, and he looked at me and then at rude guy with a face that said "I have no idea what I'm doing". Rude guy says is for the glue, to fit the battery better. Whatever. 3 hours for this. I have been treated like garbage for no reason, just because I needed a new battery due to an update on my phone I didn't ask for. And it could've been 40m more due to the useless helper. I understand that after the update, many Google users are now in need of a battery, and iSmash is the only provider. They must take a bunch of appointments, but this is definitely not the client's fault, and this is not the way to treat anyone.

On the 28/12/2024 i booked an appointment to get a small crack on my screen repaired. They said would take up to 4 hours but would call me to say when done. 4 hours and no phone call i headed to the shop where the manager presented me with a smashed back of my phone. i couldn't believe it. i was told it had to do with putting in the case. The Samsung case i had had for a year. That he would re-pair it once he had ordered a part and he would call us as we lived two hours away when was in. 1 month later no call no response after ringing constantly. They never pick up their phones. I know have to pay for the phone to be fixed as its due a trade in. i have emailed i have made a complaint and have been ignored on all occasions. i was so polite and understanding to now feel ripped off and totally treated like i don't matter and now to see its not an isolated incident makes me feel even angrier I WAS CHARGED 220 TO FIX FRONT OF SCREEN EVEN THOUGH MY PHONE WAS SMASHED HONESTLY DISCUSTING STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

STAY AWAY! They broke my phone and I had to buy a brand new one for £900! I went in with a small crack on the side of my phone and after 1 month of back and fourth I had to buy a new iphone. They are terrible. Beware! Most dishonest company ever!

I had a horrible experience at iSmash Meadowhall Sheffield. I went in to get my phone screen replaced and was told it would take an hour. They ended up delaying it for another 15 minutes, and when they finally got to it, the repair took only 10 minutes. After the "repair," my phone started overheating and the battery drained rapidly. Eventually, it wouldn't even turn on. When I went back to address the issue, they blamed me for liquid damage. This was completely absurd as my phone was functioning perfectly fine (except for the broken screen) before their so-called repair. I do not recommend this shop to anyone. Their service is slow, unprofessional, and ultimately damaged my phone further. Avoid at all costs!

I had a shocking experience in London with iSmash. Took my phone in for a new battery. They took longer than stated and then when I came back to collect they said the phone was water damaged on the faceID sensor. They showed me what they say was a watermark on the sensor. They then tried to say that FaceID might not now work, even though it was working fine when I dropped it in and they had witnessed that in their many tests. They also ask for all your logins which I was hugely uncomfortable with as they can access all your save passwords etc. Not good or safe in my opinion. Anyhow, they went on to replace the battery and then at the end state that they would not warranty their work for the year due to this supposed water damage. I argued but ultimately had no choice but accept to get my phone back. The story doesn't end there.... a few months later and my phone starts to go from 50+% to zero and to crash. Turn it back on and magically that 50+% has vanished... puff... gone. This happened for a few days and then it eventually crashed for good and the phone will not charge or even show a charging symbol (tried wireless charging and the wire). Nada! One dead phone. My advice, go buy a mini power bank for the money you would spend with them. They are crooks in my opinion.

Went to this place as instructed by my insurer, they replaced the screen, which is very faulty I can’t touch choice options on calls/answer important hospital calls, so had to remove the £10 screen protector they put on. Still not working. The back has since shattered and cut my hand in two places. On top of this I keep getting iPhone alarms the battery they used is poor, on taking the warrenty down i was explained they will not replace the obvious faulty screen as I’m an insurance company client, not a paying one?! He even admitted using poor parts. On trying to go back I have left my £300 Sony and earbuds. The shop at BoxPark is now closed up. I fully expect them not to be here on my return. Deeply sadden & shocked at this service Never use. Your device will be returned worse as they plunder your iPhone for genuine parts and rack up big bills on your insurance company. Actually criminal. I will be requesting shop CCTV from today and fully complaining

We were booked in for a repair appointment. The guy never turned up and when contacted he said they were closed on the day, with no explanation as to why he booked in appointments for that day.

Took my iphone in for replacement camera glass and they scratched my iPhone screen!! I have ended up with more damage than I started with and they claim it wasn't them, when it clearly was. They never documented any scratches on the phone when I handed it over, but after going back several times to speak to them since, they now say they wrote down that it was already scratched (conveninently they only mention this now). So now they've charged for a replacement camera glass, they've damaged my phone and they've lied to my face about it. To get the screen repaired will now cost way more than the initial camera glass and they don't even use quality glass so I'm now downgrading my phone from apple parts to their awful quality parts. To top it off, they fitted the wrong glass for the camera glass replacement which they didnt tell me until I complained the next day so now theyve ordered the right glass but i still dont have a fixed phone! What absolute cowboys. Avoid at all costs!

If possible I would give them negative 5 star. The company is horrible, do not fall in the trap of battery replacement as the company will be busted very soon, they don't have any money to run the business and the investors has declined to invest furthermore.

Really poor customer service , rude staff, do not honour warranty repairs and justify a 45 min appointment taking 2.5 hours by referral to small print on T&Cs . They are not even cheap and don’t use genuine apple parts ! Will never use again

I broke my phone's screen. It was repaired in just 3 hours in the canary warf shop. Currently they have a partnership with samgung so they use original products. I am satisfied with their job, my phone is in perfect condition. Thank you!

If I could give them 0, I would. Do not waste your money on ismash and their ‘warranty’. I spent £100+ on replacing my screen and battery on my iPhone. The battery they used was clearly faulty. It would burn up my phone and make it unusable. The screen didn’t work either. The battery got so hot, it smashed the screen and has damaged my phone/front camera. I called the team and explained (although they kept speaking over me) and was told it would be sorted under warranty. I paid £4 to park, went to the shop and was then told it wasn’t going to be fixed under warranty. They are con artists. I suggest avoiding them.

Sent an iPad in for a battery replacement for a battery replacement, returned with a cracked screen, covered in dirt and adhesive around the frame from a rushed and sloppy repair. They insist on a passcode to carry out tests, and waiver liability if you don’t, tucked in the small print. Why you need the passcode for a battery replacement. No idea. Stay clear of these lot.

Phone repair apparently left the waterproofing faulty so two weeks after a screen repair it was water damaged and dead. At least if you read this then realise this place doesn’t do the great job they advertise. At least save yourself some money and get a cheap screen repair.
